| 2024 | SpecGaussian with Latent Features: A High-quality Modeling of the View-dependent Appearance for 3D Gaussian SplattingabstractRecently, the 3D Gaussian Splatting (3D-GS) method has achieved great success in novel view synthesis, providing real-time rendering while ensuring high-quality rendering results. However, this method faces challenges in modeling specular reflections and handling anisotropic appearance components, especially in dealing with view-dependent color under complex lighting conditions. Additionally, 3D-GS uses spherical harmonic to learn the color representation, which has limited ability to represent complex scenes. To overcome these challenges, we introduce Lantent-SpecGS, an approach that utilizes a universal latent neural descriptor within each 3D Gaussian. This enables a more effective representation of 3D feature fields, including appearance and geometry. Moreover, two parallel CNNs are designed to decoder the splatting feature maps into diffuse color and specular color separately. A mask that depends on the viewpoint is learned to merge these two colors, resulting in the final rendered image. Experimental results demonstrate that our method obtains competitive performance in novel view synthesis and extends the ability of 3D-GS to handle intricate scenarios with specular reflections. | 2024 | Knowledge Graph-Aware Deep Interest Extraction Network on Sequential RecommendationabstractAbstract Sequential recommendation is the mainstream approach in the field of click-through-rate (CTR) prediction for modeling users’ behavior. This behavior implies the change of the user’s interest, and the goal of sequential recommendation is to capture this dynamic change. However, existing studies have focused on designing complex dedicated networks to capture user interests from user behavior sequences, while neglecting the use of auxiliary information. Recently, knowledge graph (KG) has gradually attracted the attention of researchers as a structured auxiliary information. Items and their attributes in the recommendation, can be mapped to knowledge triples in the KG. Therefore, the introduction of KG to recommendation can help us obtain more expressive item representations. Since KG can be considered a special type of graph, it is possible to use the graph neural network (GNN) to propagate the rich information contained in the KG into the item representation. Based on this idea, this paper proposes a recommendation method that uses KG as auxiliary information. The method first propagates the knowledge information in the KG using GNN to obtain a knowledge-rich item representation. Then the temporal features in the item sequence are extracted using a transformer for CTR prediction, namely the K nowledge G raph-Aware D eep I nterest E xtraction network (KGDIE). To evaluate the performance of this model, we conducted extensive experiments on two real datasets with different scenarios. The results showed that the KGDIE method could outperform several state-of-the-art baselines. The source code of our model is available at https://github.com/gylgyl123/kgdie . | 2019 | Spatial Enhanced-SSD For Multiclass Object Detection in Remote Sensing ImagesabstractAccurate multiclass object detection in remote sensing images is a challenging task, especially for small objects. Since the scales of objects in remote sensing images have a great variance, almost all of the advanced detection methods have shortcomings. Consequently, improving the accuracy of multiclass objects detection has always been the direction of researchers' efforts. In this paper, a spatial enhanced-Single Shot MultiBox Detector (SE-SSD) is proposed. First, to enhance the spatial information, we enlarge the input image channels with embedding oriented-gradients feature maps. Second, the multiple output layers in the backbone network are changed to reduce one pooling operation. Finally, we design a context module to enhance the receptive field for feature layer description in SE-SSD framework. Experimental results on DOTA dataset demonstrate that Spatial Enhanced-SSD method reaches a much higher mean average precision (mAP) than Faster R-CNN, SSD and other classic detection network.
