2010 Service oriented architecture realized by a messaging network
abstract
This paper introduces an approach to realize service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance using a messaging network. The proposed solution uses a messaging network with a structured overlay. The messaging network is XML-based, and is an actual implementation of a content-based network. The proposed scheme provides a network-centric approach to ensure SOA governance by use of a common proactive scheme on the network infrastructure.

2005 Zone-Based Routing Algorithm for Congestion Control over the Internet
abstract
With the rapid growth of information technology over the past few years' severe congestion problems have resulted. Many existing models have been proposed to control the congestion for a single network device (router, link etc.). The main problem is when the link or the router between the source and destination is with high congestion or broken down, etc. If there are no alternate links to the destination, users have to wait for the mechanical solutions for the recovery, which will take long time and is expensive as the congestion is at a micro-level. Therefore, we propose a zone-based, congestion control algorithm, which is easy to implement, and users do not have to wait for when the link or router is congested or broken down. The Zone-based routing algorithm is proposed to route the traffic and balance the traffic load to achieve efficient resource utilization. Zone is equal to one AS (autonomous systems) or a collection of neighboring ASes.

2004 Information Flow Model and Estimations for Services on the Internet
abstract
The Internet information flow is a big challenge for the real world. Both technical and non-technical users need to see the current traffic status of their own ISP or zone. Even if some users curiously wanted to see other zones or the global traffic status. To fulfill this requirement for users, this paper approached a new model called Ryuki model. In the four planes Ryuki model, we captured flow information from the bottom plane, estimated the flows and introduced three mathematical indexes in the second plane. The indexes are Ryuki temperature, Ryuki pressure and Ryuki density. Third plane is service plane where two types of services have introduced. And finally, top plane is represented the network status of the zone. Zone is used as an autonomous systems (AS) in this document. The well-known network simulator has used for simulation for the monitoring network traffic to estimate the service (QoS and CoS) related information.

1996 Using Timed CSP for Specification Verification and Simulation of Multimedia Synchronization
abstract
Timed communicating sequential processes (TCSP) language is used to specify fine-grain and coarse-grain multimedia synchronization. A lip synchronization system is an example of fine-grain synchronization. Several groupware scenarios are examples of coarse-grain synchronization. The formal specifications are used as the basis of verification and simulation. Safety and liveness timing requirements of the synchronization system are stated in terms of temporal logic formulas. Correctness analysis of the specification is shown using the temporal formulas and TCSP proof theory. It is shown that TCSP is powerful enough to be used in multimedia system design and verification. Next, simulation of multimedia synchronization is discussed. Various simulation models are developed for fine- and coarse-grain synchronization systems. It is shown that simulation modeling can lead to early detection of possible synchronization violations. The buffering requirements of a given synchronization mechanism can be effectively studied using simulation.

1989 The CrossoverNet LAN System Using an Intelligent Head-End
abstract
The development of a multimedia broadband local area network (LAN) system named CrossoverNet using a intelligent head-end is presented. This head-end provides two-way digital/analog communication with dynamic channel exchange and network configuration control. Based on these functions, the head-end exchanges analog information in a manner similar to digital circuit exchange. Digital and analog information are transmitted separately over the same broadband cable and integrated in audiovisual protocol layers. To provide these facilities, a LAN architecture conforming to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) basic reference model is designed using broadband and CATV network technologies. The result, CrossoverNet, can control, operate, and manage a variety of audiovisual devices that are attached to it in a consistent manner. A prototype experiment illustrates the versatility of the system.>
