| 2024 | Learning Embedding for Signed Network in Social Media With Global InformationabstractSigned networks contain nodes connected by positive and negative signed links. Signed network representation learning concentrates on learning the low-dimensional representations of these nodes, which facilitates downstream tasks such as link prediction using general data mining framework. However, most signed network embedding (SiNE) approaches neglect global information in the networks, limiting the capacity to learn genuine signed graph topology. To overcome this limitation, a deep graph neural network (GNN) framework SiG to learn SiNE with global information is proposed. To be more explicit, a hierarchical pooling mechanism is developed to encode the high-level features of the networks. Moreover, a graph convolution layer is introduced to aggregate both positive and negative information from neighbor nodes, and the concatenation of two parts generates the final embedding of nodes. Extensive experiments on four large real-world signed network datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and excellence of the proposed method. Zhenqiang Wu, Mubarak Umar, Xuening Liao |

| 2024 | Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Networks Based Differential Privacy Metaverse Data SharingabstractAlthough differential privacy metaverse data sharing can avoid privacy leakage of sensitive data, randomly perturbing local metaverse data will lead to an imbalance between utility and privacy. Therefore, this work proposed models and algorithms of differential privacy metaverse data sharing using Wasserstein generative adversarial networks (WGAN). Firstly, this study constructed the mathematical model of differential privacy metaverse data sharing by introducing appropriate regularization term related to generated data's discriminant probability into WGAN. Secondly, we established basic model and algorithm for differential privacy metaverse data sharing using WGAN based on the constructed mathematical model, and theoretically analyzed basic algorithm. Thirdly, we established federated model and algorithm for differential privacy metaverse data sharing using WGAN by serialized training based on basic model, and theoretically analyzed federated algorithm. Finally, based on utility and privacy metrics, we conducted a comparative analysis for the basic algorithm of differential privacy metaverse data sharing using WGAN, and experimental results validate theoretical results, which show that algorithms of differential privacy metaverse data sharing using WGAN maintaining equilibrium between privacy and utility. | 2022 | Fine-Grained Query Authorization With Integrity Verification Over Encrypted Spatial Data in Cloud StorageabstractIn this article, a fine-grained query authorization scheme with integrity verification is proposed over encrypted spatial data for location-based services (LBS). The fine-grained query authorization is enabled based on a distribution of the spatial data by employing a non-uniform partition in the spatial domain to generate a density-based space filling curve (DSC), which can be used to generate index values for querying and transformation keys. The transformation keys can be used to generate query tokens for a secure spatial query as well as construct a transformation key tree whose subtree can be distributed by the LBS provider to an authorized user as transformation key for query tokens generation. Furthermore, the proposed scheme constructs a Merkle quad tree (MQ-tree) to support integrity verification by aggregating a digest of the spatial data based on the DSC and employing the MQ-tree as a verification structure. The LBS provider can share a subtree of the MQ-tree to authorized user as his verification structure, which corresponds to the transformation key of the authorized user. In this way, the authorized user can only generate the valid query tokens and verify the query results in his authorized region. The security properties of the proposed scheme is discussed, and extensive experimental results demonstrate the high efficiency of verification structure generation and verification operations. | 2021 | Balancing Privacy-Utility of Differential Privacy Mechanism: A Collaborative PerspectiveabstractDifferential privacy mechanism can maintain privacy-utility monotonicity. Thus, differential privacy mechanism does not obtain privacy-utility balance for numerical data. To this end, we provide privacy-utility balance of differential privacy mechanism with the collaborative perspective in this paper. First, we constructed the collaborative model achieving privacy-utility balance of differential privacy mechanism. Second, we presented the collaborative algorithm of differential privacy mechanism under our collaborative model. Third, our theoretical analysis showed that the collaborative algorithm of differential privacy mechanism could keep privacy-utility balance. Finally, our experimental results demonstrated that the collaborative differential privacy mechanism can maintain privacy-utility balance. Thus, we provide a new collaborative model to solve the privacy-utility balance problem of differential privacy mechanism. Our collaborative algorithm is easy to apply to query processing of numerical data. Hai Liu 0007, Changgen Peng, Youliang Tian, Shigong Long, Zhenqiang Wu |

| 2021 | A Reconstruction Attack Scheme on Secure Outsourced Spatial Dataset in Vehicular Ad-Hoc NetworksabstractIn the cloud-based vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET), massive vehicle information is stored on the cloud, and a large amount of data query, calculation, monitoring, and management are carried out at all times. The secure spatial query methods in VANET allow authorized users to convert the original spatial query to encrypted spatial query, which is called query token and will be processed in ciphertext mode by the service provider. Thus, the service provider learns which encrypted records are returned as the result of a query, which is defined as the access pattern. Since only the correct query results that match the query tokens are returned, the service provider can observe which encrypted data are accessed and returned to the client when a query is launched clearly, and it leads to the leakage of data access pattern. In this paper, a reconstruction attack scheme is proposed, which utilizes the access patterns in the secure query processes, and then it reconstructs the index of outsourced spatial data that are collected from the vehicles. The proposed scheme proves the security threats in the VANET. Extensive experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate that our attack scheme can achieve quite a high reconstruction rate. | 2018 | On Security-Delay Trade-Off in Two-Hop Wireless Networks With Buffer-Aided Relay SelectionabstractThis paper investigates the security-delay trade-off of the buffer-aided relay selection scheme in a two-hop wireless system, which consists of a source-destination pair, one eavesdropper, and multiple relays each having a finite buffer. To evaluate the security and delay performances of the system, we derive analytical expressions for the end-to-end (E2E) secure transmission probability (STP) and the expected E2E delay under both perfect and partial eavesdropper channel state information (CSI) cases. These analytical expressions help us to explore the inherent trade-off between the security and delay performances of the concerned system. In particular, the results in this paper indicate that: 1) the maximum E2E STP increases as the constraint on the expected E2E delay becomes less strict, and such trend is more sensitive to the variation of the number of relays than that of the relay buffer size; 2) on the other hand, the minimum expected E2E delay tends to decrease when a less strict constraint on E2E STP is imposed, and this trend is more sensitive to the variation of the relay buffer size than that of the number of relays. | 2014 | A simplified glowworm swarm optimization algorithmabstractAimed at the poor optimizing ability and the low accuracy of the glowworm swarm optimization algorithm (GSO), a simplified glowworm swarm optimization algorithm (SGSO) was put forward in this paper, which omitted the phases of seeking dynamic decision domain and movement probability calculation, and meanwhile simplified the location updating process. Moreover, elitism was introduced to improve the capacity of searching optimal solution. It was applied to the unimodal and multimodal benchmark function optimization problems. The improved SGSO algorithm is compared with the basic GSO and other swarm intelligent optimization algorithms to demonstrate the performance. Experimental results showed that SGSO improves not only the precision but also the efficiency in function optimization. Mingyu Du, Xiujuan Lei, Zhenqiang Wu |
