2025 Modeling and Control of Testing Device For Carpet Resilience Measurement
abstract
A multifunctional testing device is designed to perform thickness measurement of carpets. Thickness loss is determined for two cases: after short-term static loading and after long-term static loading. Compression and resilience tests and measurements are performed simultaneously on five samples automatically using this testing device. Carpet thickness is measured after different loading conditions. This paper introduces the pneumatic proportional position control system utilized in a testing device. Actuation of the system is performed by using pneumatic actuators. The model is taken as a double acting pneumatic cylinder. PLC used for system automation and control. This testing device has been completed as a result of a research project. A mathematical model is also offered for the actuation system.

2023 Motion Control of Beat-Up Mechanism: GA-PID Implementation
abstract
A beat up mechanism, the crank rocker type is presented for handmade carpet looms. Permanent magnet DC motor dynamics with gearbox and a beat-up mechanism's mathematical model are considered together. The simulation results and discussions are presented to evaluate the performance of crank rocker mechanism model. GA-PID controller is applied to motion control during beating up action.

2022 Design and Simulation of Beat Up Mechanism: Handmade Carpet Looms
abstract
The most important production steps of the handmade carpets produced still by human labor are; knotting (Turkish knot or Persian knot), shedding, picking and tightening of the carpet with a beater (called as beat up operation). Functional requirements during beat up considered. This study is then concentrated on beat up mechanism proposed for handmade carpet looms. A beat-up mechanism model performedvia Matlab/Simulink environment to verify the kinematic objectives assigned. Simulation results are included for the system with further comments on its design and motion control.
