In a world of constant disruption, effective digital transformation requires strategic alignment and a holistic approach. However, most initiatives fail due to fragmented execution and narrow, technology-first approaches. This paper introduces ADAPT (Alignment-Driven Adaptation Process & Tool), an advanced visual knowledge management tool designed to facilitate systemic, purpose-driven digital transformation. ADAPT integrates systems thinking, strategic clarity, and organizational agility to enable leaders to align digital efforts with long-term value creation and adaptive capacity. As a flexible meta-approach, ADAPT derives customized adaptation processes to address unique organizational challenges. ADAPT allows to integrate diverse methods into coherent strategies to derive opportunity-driven, shared purposes and implementation plans, effectively orchestrating involved stakeholders. ADAPT is based on ten years of interdisciplinary research and practical insights. However, given the need for contextual validation, this paper invites further real-world testing and iterative refinement to optimize its practical impact and enhance its instantiation’s effectiveness for digital transformation.

Today organizations are encouraged to progress towards sustainability. The aim is to achieve more with less. Here, digitalization is an important lever to enable greater sustainability by e.g., making the status-quo transparent and allowing to optimize current production processes, products, and services. The aim of this paper is to support organizations in addressing today's sustain ability challenges with digital potentials in a holistic, coherent, and standardized way. The designed REDUCE (Resource Efficiency via Digitalization as Unfair Competitive Enabler) method adopts, customizes, and complements the dynamic capability theory. It excels at (1) sensing: identifying when and to what sustainability trends to adapt, (2) seizing: designing a fitting (digital innovation) strategy and (3) transforming: its successful adoption and diffusion. Thus, the REDUCE method's purpose is to steer organizations via multi- perspectives and multi-steps towards a more sustainable future. Here, also REDUCE itself can be advanced to an IT -driven REDUCE Tool enabling and guiding its users.

Although the strategic importance of identifying, understanding and mitigating risks are known, many organisations fail to thoroughly put it in practice. However, living in a vulnerable, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world where many risks cannot be forecasted is no valid excuse to ignore risk management altogether. A McKinsey study found that many organizations agree as senior executives aim to adopt pro-active risk management. To make that possible we propose a multi-perspective approach to consulting that addresses why and where to look, what to analyze, and how to analyze it and derives suitable mitigation strategies. We introduce the multi-perspective consulting in the context of analyzing sustainability risks. The approach guides users from trend to risk identification, then towards derived (sustainability) goals and mitigation strategies and their implementation. We propose an according IT-tool support for this process, in order to provide consultants with additional features to better guide, consult and customize the approach to their clients' needs. The smart process design in the DIME low-code modelling development environment is envisioned to enable consultants to define, design and customize the process, the (multi-) perspectives of interest and the methods of use with their clients.

Digital platforms disrupt established industries and their current competitive dynamics. Interestingly, only a few very successful digital platforms achieve this transformation impact, as more than 80% of platforms fail. One of the main reasons for platform failure is overlooked competition. To support practitioners in designing a digital platform offering a competitive and compelling value proposition, we propose a multi-perspective approach. The multi-perspectives are integrated into a multi-step refinement process aiming at platform success: It analyzes the most common failure factors and selects corresponding detailed analyses integrating established frameworks and methods before deriving the value proposition design. To guide practitioners in adopting the multi-perspective approach, we propose its integration into the GOLD tool. This IT -based tool allows for transparency, hierarchization, dependencies, and interlinkages between the different perspectives toward a more holistic understanding and platform design.
