2025 High-Precision Wave-Parameter Perception via Spatiotemporal Coupling of Sea-Clutter Imagery and Ship-Motion Responses
abstract
Accurate detection of near-wave field parameters is crucial for safe navigation and efficient offshore operations. However, estimating precise wave parameter remains challenging due to strong nonlinear wave dynamics and inherent measurement uncertainties. Most of existing deep learning methods relying on single modality data face limitations in insufficient accuracy. Motivated by advances in multimodal fusion algorithms, we propose a novel maritime multimodal fusion inversion model, MR-FuNet. The proposed model integrates a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) in parallel, enabling effective fusion of spatial information from X-band radar sea clutter images and temporal patterns from ship motion data at the feature level. A multi-dimensional attention strategy was employed to enable the model to dynamically calibrate and integrate heterogeneous information across modalities and feature domains which can significantly improve the accuracy of inversion for significant wave height and characteristic wave period. To address the lack of comprehensive and high-quality public datasets in this research area, this study constructs and releases a large-scale and multimodal datasetRadar Images and Ship Motion Dataset(RSD). RSD is a large-scale multimodal dataset generated via numerical simulation and covers 99 representative sea states. It provides a valuable benchmark for future research. Extensive experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed model, demonstrating substantial performance gains across various metrics. Compared to traditional Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), the proposed multimodal fusion model achieves notable reductions in RMSE by 61.6% and 62.8% for the characteristic period and significant wave height inversion tasks, respectively. 2024 TMan: A High-Performance Trajectory Data Management System Based on Key-Value Stores
abstract
The effective management of trajectory data heavily relies on the utilization of fundamental spatio-temporal queries. The surge in trajectory data, with its dynamic spatio-temporal properties, poses notable management challenges. Existing systems are inadequate in providing fine-grained trajectory representations and efficient architecture for processing queries, leading to significant computational overhead. This paper introduces TMan to address these challenges. First, TMan presents two innovative index structures that precisely capture the spatio-temporal characteristics of trajectory data. Compared to the state-of-the-art indexes, our indexes for temporal range and spatial range queries can reduce the number of retrievals by up to 77% and 83%, respectively. Next, TMan devises concise and effective encoding methods for these indexes. Leveraging these indexes, TMan provides a distributed storage structure and an index caching mechanism for efficiently managing trajectories in key-value data stores. Moreover, TMan introduces a parallel query processing approach incorporating a push-down strategy to enhance the efficiency of fundamental queries. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that TMan's index structures and architecture outperform the baselines.

2024 Practical Fixed-Time Synchronization of Multilayer Networks via Intermittent Event-Triggered Control
abstract
In this article, the practical fixed-time synchronization (PFIXTS) problem of multilayer complex networks (CNs) is investigated based on an intermittent event-triggered control (IE-TC) strategy. Under a new framework of intermittent control (IC), a practical fixed-time stability lemma is proposed. In addition, the conservatism of the results is reduced resulting from the use of average control rate (ACR) for IC. Based on the practical fixed-time stability lemma, a new theorem is developed to achieve the PFIXTS for multilayer CNs, which can further reduce the energy consumption of communication and save resources. Moreover, the emergence of Zeno behavior in the IE-TC strategy is excluded. Finally, the effectiveness of the results is verified by numerical simulations.

2022 PromptRGD: Prompt Learning with Relation-aware Gradient Denoising for Low-resource Relation Extraction
abstract
Relation extraction is a fundamental task to construct a knowledge graph, which aims to find the relation categories between two entities from a string of text input sequences. Considering the fact that high-quality labeled data is rare, a recent trend is low-resource setting. Existing works either utilize prompt-based learning method to achieve encouraging results for few-shot tasks by determining an appropriate prompt template, or leverage unlabeled data by generating pseudo labels. However, the manual design of the prompt template requires not only labor-intensive but also expert knowledge. Roughly utilizing a semi-supervised method to assign pseudo-label to unlabeled data will suffer from noise accumulation. To tackle these problems, we propose a novel semi-supervised prompt learning framework with relation-aware gradient denoising for low-resource relation extraction(PromptRGD). Firstly, using learnable template words and virtual labels for prompt learning, we introduce entity type and relation prior knowledge into prompt template construction. Secondly, given the relation-aware gradient similarity between labeled and unlabeled data, PromptRGD generates a pseudo label and then improves the quality of pseudo labels on unlabeled samples in a self-training fashion. The main experimental results and a series of analyses prove the effectiveness of PromptRGD.

2022 CINO: A Chinese Minority Pre-trained Language Model
abstract
Multilingual pre-trained language models have shown impressive performance on cross-lingual tasks. It greatly facilitates the applications of natural language processing on low-resource languages. However, there are still some languages that the current multilingual models do not perform well on. In this paper, we propose CINO (Chinese Minority Pre-trained Language Model), a multilingual pre-trained language model for Chinese minority languages. It covers Standard Chinese, Yue Chinese, and six other ethnic minority languages. To evaluate the cross-lingual ability of the multilingual model on ethnic minority languages, we collect documents from Wikipedia and news websites, and construct two text classification datasets, WCM (Wiki-Chinese-Minority) and CMNews (Chinese-Minority-News). We show that CINO notably outperforms the baselines on various classification tasks. The CINO model and the datasets are publicly available at http://cino.hfl-rc.com.
