| 2025 | A study on an efficient OSS inspection scheme based on encrypted GMLabstractThe importance of Open Source Software (OSS) has increased in recent years. OSS is software that is jointly developed and maintained globally through open collaboration and knowledge sharing. OSS plays an important role, especially in the Information Technology (IT) field, by increasing the efficiency of software development and reducing costs. However, licensing issues, security issues, etc., may arise when using OSS. Some services analyze source code and provide OSS-related data to solve these problems, a representative example being Blackduck. Blackduck inspects the entiresource code within the project and provides OSS information and related data included in the whole project. Therefore, there are problems such as inefficiency due to full inspection of the source code and difficulty in determining the exact location where OSS is identified. This paper proposes a scheme to intuitively analyze source code through Graph Modelling Language (GML) conversion to solve these problems. Additionally, encryption is applied to GML to performsecure GML-based OSS inspection. The study explains the process of converting source code to GML and performing OSS inspection. Afterward, we compare the capacity and accuracy of text-based OSS inspection and GML-based OSS inspection. Signcryption is applied to performsafe, GML-based, efficient OSS inspection. | 2025 | A novel approach to privacy and traceability using attribute-based signature in decentralized identifierabstractThis paper proposes a novel scheme that enhances privacy and ensures accountability by mitigating signature-based correlation risks in decentralized identifiers (DIDs). Existing DIDs often rely on traditional digital signatures, making them vulnerable to attacks that link user identities across transactions. Our proposed scheme leverages attribute-based signatures (ABS) to provide anonymous authentication, preventing such correlation and protecting user privacy. To deter the abuse of anonymity, it incorporates a traceability mechanism, enabling authorized entities to trace a user’s DID when necessary. The scheme’s security, including anonymity and traceability, is formally proven under the random oracle model. Im-Yeong Lee |

| 2025 | A Study on New EPC-MPSI for an Inputless External Party to Compute the Intersection of Multiple Private DatasetsabstractABSTRACT Private set intersection (PSI) is a privacy‐preserving scheme that computes the intersection of two datasets without leaking any other information. Additionally, there is multiparty private set intersection (MPSI) to extend the number of parties for computing the intersection of multiple private datasets. In the traditional PSI and MPSI studies, protocol parties input their private datasets, and one or all of them can compute the intersection. However, there are some scenarios where an inputless external party requires the intersection between private datasets of other parties. Thus, the external party PSI protocols have been recently studied for applications such as pandemic contact tracing, computing human genome information and evaluating policy effects. However, they are limited in applications because the external party can compute the intersection of two datasets. In this paper, we propose a new external party compute‐MPSI (EPC‐MPSI) protocols that allow an external party to compute the intersection of multiple datasets. We provide the extension of the number of parties and solve the limitation of prior external party PSI protocols. In addition, we analyze the correctness, security and the efficiency in terms of communication and computation costs compared to the prior traditional MPSI protocols. Ki-hwan Kim, Im-Yeong Lee |

| 2024 | A study on the traceable attribute-based signature scheme provided with anonymous credentialsabstractIn order to provide the reliability of transmitted data in the era of big data, it is necessary to communicate by applying signature technology to data. There are various signature schemes, among which attribute-based signatures perform signatures based on user attributes. This ensures signer anonymity by allowing users to create and verify signatures without exposing the signer's sensitive information. However, the verifier can verify normally if the attribute period expires and a user without signing authority creates and transmits a signature with the existing signing key and attributes. In addition, signers who abuse anonymity can disclose their signing keys and attributes for some purpose (Money, profit) because there is no risk of being caught. Unauthorized users can use public information to sign and send messages. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a Traceable Attribute-based Signature scheme provided with anonymous credentials. The proposed scheme has the feature of verifying the validity of the signer by using the pseudonym ID included in the user list in the cloud server. In addition, the signer's identity is expressed as an Oblivious Transfer-based pseudonym ID. The signer's identity can be verified through tracing in case of a problem. | 2024 | A study on dynamic group signature scheme with threshold traceability for blockchainabstractBlockchain technology provides transparency and reliability by sharing transactions and maintaining the same information through consensus among all participants. However, single-signature applications in transactions can lead to user identification issues due to the reuse of public keys. To address this issue, group signatures can be used, where the same group public key is used to verify signatures from group members to provide anonymity to users. However, in dynamic groups where membership may change, an attack can occur where a user who has left the group can disguise themselves as a group member by leaking a partial key. This problem cannot be traced back to the partial key leaker. In this paper, we propose assigning different partial keys to group members to trace partial key leakers and partially alleviate the damage caused by partial key leaks. Exist schemes have shown that arbitrary tracing issues occurred when a single administrator had exclusive key generation and tracing authority. This paper proposes a group signature scheme that solves the synchronization problem by involving a threshold number of TMs while preventing arbitrary tracing by distributing authority among multiple TMs. Hyo-jin Song, Teahoon Kim, Yong-Woon Hwang, Im-Yeong Lee |

| 2021 | Data Distribution for Multiple Receivers in a Connected Car Environment Using 5G CommunicationabstractThe development of communication technology has brought changes to various environments. The evolution from 3G to 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) was mainly aimed at improving communication speed. However, the evolution from 4G LTE to 5G New Radio (NR) is not aimed at improving speed alone. In addition to the existing communication types, 5G aims to improve communication to support the Internet of Things (IoT), media, and complex content to which things are connected. In such environments, point-to-point communication has a very inefficient structure to allow content providers to transmit data to many content users. In the 5G era, content providers must distribute content to numerous users, and in this process, they need to protect the content. Multireceiver encryption (MRE) is an encryption technology developed for this purpose. MRE allows multiple recipients to decrypt data using their own private key with single encryption of a data provider. With this technology, even if the number of data recipients is 100,000 or 1,000,000, data can be distributed with single encryption. Therefore, while using the existing 1 : 1 encryption method, it is possible to solve the problem of inefficiency in performing encryption for each recipient. However, existing proposed MREs can cause key escrow problems and partial key verification problems. Furthermore, the privacy issues identifying the recipient may arise because anonymity is not available to the recipient. In addition, it is necessary to ensure a fair decryption process for all recipients which a legitimate user cannot decrypt. In this study, we attempted to address these problems, and through our model, it is possible to distribute the data more securely and efficiently in a 5G environment. | 2021 | Group Delegated ID-Based Proxy Reencryption for the Enterprise IoT-Cloud Storage EnvironmentabstractIn general, ID‐based proxy reencryption (IBPRE) includes data transfer in a 1 : 1 manner between a sender and receiver. Therefore, only the data owner has the authority to decrypt or reencrypt the data that is encrypted with his/her public key. However, in an environment with data self‐sovereignty, such as an enterprise IoT‐cloud environment, the data are directly managed by cloud once data is uploaded from user‐controlled IoT devices. In such a situation, there is no way of sharing data if the data owner has no access over the data due to being outside the workplace and other issues. In this study, to solve this problem, data can be shared even when the data cannot be accessed by delegating the authority of the data owner to generate the reencryption key to other users. In addition, by solving the security threats that may appear in this process, data sharing can be performed securely and efficiently in the corporate environment. | 2009 | Intelligent Pervasive Network Authentication: S/Key Based Device AuthenticationabstractThe intelligent pervasive network environment is thing which invisible computer that is not shown linked mutually through network so that user may use computer always is been pervasive. As a number of pervasive network services are available and smart environment is expanding into ubiquitous computing environment, we need to protect intelligent pervasive environment system from illegal accesses and a variety of threats. Intelligent pervasive environment is exposed to various cyber attacks of Internet, involves hacking, malicious codes, worms, viruses, DoS attacks, and eavesdropping since it is connected to Internet. So in this paper, we propose authentication in a intelligent pervasive environment security for guaranteeing reliability and availability including authentication, authorization system. We proposed S/Key based authentication, scheme for secure remote access in intelligent pervasive environments. Furthermore, we describes smart environment authentication which is the basic and essential element in the pervasive network security. And our device authentication concept can offer pervasive network service users convenience and security. Deok-Gyu Lee, Jong Wook Han, Doo-Soon Park, Im-Yeong Lee |
