2021 A New Design of Mamdani Complex Fuzzy Inference System for Multiattribute Decision Making Problems
abstract
This article proposes the Mamdani complex fuzzy inference system (Mamdani CFIS) to improve performance of the classical FIS and complex FIS. The applicability of the proposed CFIS is demonstrated by applying it to six commonly available datasets from UCI Machine Learning under the comparison with Mamdani FIS and the Adaptive Neuro Complex Fuzzy Inference System (ANCFIS). It is successfully proven that the proposed Mamdani CFIS is computationally less expensive and presents a more efficient method to handle time-series data and time-periodic phenomena, among all the fuzzy IS found thus far in the literature. Furthermore, the novelty of CFIS mainly lies in its implementation of the complex number throughout the entire procedures of computation. This gives much greater flexibility of implementing unexpected, nonlinear fluctuations.

2020 Novel Incremental Algorithms for Attribute Reduction From Dynamic Decision Tables Using Hybrid Filter-Wrapper With Fuzzy Partition Distance
abstract
Attribute reduction from decision tables has been much focused in recent years in which the incremental methods of the tradition rough set and extended models are mostly used for adding, removing, or updating the object or attribute set. However, when dealing with the dynamic decision tables, the existing incremental methods do not recalculate information which has been added into the decision table. In this article, we propose some new incremental methods using the hybrid filter-wrapper with fuzzy partition distance on fuzzy rough set. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithms decrease significantly the cardinality of reduct as well as achieve higher accuracy than the other filter incremental methods such as IV-FS-FRS-2, IARM, ASS-IAR, IFSA, and IFSD.

2017 Neutrosophic recommender system for medical diagnosis based on algebraic similarity measure and clustering
abstract
In this paper, we propose a neutrosophic recommender system for medical diagnosis using both neutrosophic similarity measure and neutrosophic clustering to capture the treatment of similar patients at different levels within a concurrent group. The proposed algorithm allows similar patients being treated concurrently in a group. Firstly, the similarities are measured based on the algebraic operations and their theoretic properties. Secondly, a clustering algorithm is used to identify neighbors that are in the same cluster and share common characteristics. Then, a prediction formula using results of both the clustering algorithm and the similarity measures is designed. Experiment indicates the advantages and superiority of the proposal.

2017 Random walks on mutual microRNA-target gene interaction network improve the prediction of disease-associated microRNAs
abstract
BACKGROUND: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been shown to play an important role in pathological initiation, progression and maintenance. Because identification in the laboratory of disease-related miRNAs is not straightforward, numerous network-based methods have been developed to predict novel miRNAs in silico. Homogeneous networks (in which every node is a miRNA) based on the targets shared between miRNAs have been widely used to predict their role in disease phenotypes. Although such homogeneous networks can predict potential disease-associated miRNAs, they do not consider the roles of the target genes of the miRNAs. Here, we introduce a novel method based on a heterogeneous network that not only considers miRNAs but also the corresponding target genes in the network model. RESULTS: Instead of constructing homogeneous miRNA networks, we built heterogeneous miRNA networks consisting of both miRNAs and their target genes, using databases of known miRNA-target gene interactions. In addition, as recent studies demonstrated reciprocal regulatory relations between miRNAs and their target genes, we considered these heterogeneous miRNA networks to be undirected, assuming mutual miRNA-target interactions. Next, we introduced a novel method (RWRMTN) operating on these mutual heterogeneous miRNA networks to rank candidate disease-related miRNAs using a random walk with restart (RWR) based algorithm. Using both known disease-associated miRNAs and their target genes as seed nodes, the method can identify additional miRNAs involved in the disease phenotype. Experiments indicated that RWRMTN outperformed two existing state-of-the-art methods: RWRMDA, a network-based method that also uses a RWR on homogeneous (rather than heterogeneous) miRNA networks, and RLSMDA, a machine learning-based method. Interestingly, we could relate this performance gain to the emergence of "disease modules" in the heterogeneous miRNA networks used as input for the algorithm. Moreover, we could demonstrate that RWRMTN is stable, performing well when using both experimentally validated and predicted miRNA-target gene interaction data for network construction. Finally, using RWRMTN, we identified 76 novel miRNAs associated with 23 disease phenotypes which were present in a recent database of known disease-miRNA associations. CONCLUSIONS: Summarizing, using random walks on mutual miRNA-target networks improves the prediction of novel disease-associated miRNAs because of the existence of "disease modules" in these networks.

2017 Linguistic Vector Similarity Measures and Applications to Linguistic Information Classification
abstract
In this paper, we generalize the similarity degree for linguistic labels to the so-called the linguistic similarity measure. Linguistic vector, whichcan be used to represent objects whose attributes are given in terms of linguistic labels, is defined. Some mathematical properties are stated and proved. The linguistic vector similarity measure is developed and applied to linguistic information classification. Experimental results on real data confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.

2016 Interpolative picture fuzzy rules: A novel forecast method for weather nowcasting
abstract
Weather nowcasting is a short-range forecasting that maps current weather, then uses an estimation of its speed and direction of movement to forecast weather in a short period ahead - assuming the weather will move without significant changes. It operates through latest radar, satellite or observational data. However, flawed characterization of transitions between different meteorological structures is its main challenges. In this paper, an innovative method for weather nowcasting from satellite image sequences using the combination of picture fuzzy clustering and interpolative fuzzy rules is proposed. Firstly, picture fuzzy clustering algorithm, a fuzzy clustering method based on the theory of picture fuzzy set, is used to partition the satellite image pixels into clusters. Secondly, the interpolative trapezoidal picture fuzzy rules are created from the clusters. Finally, particle swarm optimization is employed to train the defuzzified parameter from the rules to enhance the accuracy of the predicted satellite images in sequence. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method is better than the relevant ones for weather nowcasting.
