2025 Review of Security Methods Based on Classical Cryptography and Quantum Cryptography
abstract
Classical cryptography is the process of hiding information and it manages the secret knowledge by encrypting the plain text message through the translation of it to an unintelligible message. Quantum cryptography is also hiding the plain text through encryption and it works based on the law of quantum physics for providing absolute security of data communication. It uses the idea of quantum mechanics to gadget a cryptographic system and the key problems are solved by intrusion detection including the Eavesdropping detection using quantum expertise. On the contrary, principles of secured communication protocol systems are demonstrated with classical quantum cryptography where the keys are distributed securely and are applied in quantum key distribution as well. In this paper, we provide a survey of works on classical cryptography and quantum cryptography and compare them with respect to time, security level and the classification of the data. Moreover, we perform a concise analysis of perspective classical cryptography and the conception of Quantum cryptography with various protocols and highlight the benefits of classical cryptography and Quantum cryptography in different applications. Finally, we provide a set of recommendations for selecting the suitable encryption model for securing the communication.

2023 A comprehensive survey on effective key management schemes for secured authentication in vehicular ad hoc network
abstract
Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) refers to the network structure of ad hoc networks where different moving vehicles of different mobility communicate with each other over the wireless medium to exchange the information with one another. Communication in VANET takes place by using a wireless medium, which is an open channel, and it is vulnerable to various types of attacks during the data transmission. Hence, providing efficient authentication to the VANET is one of the important challenges needed to be addressed. Among all the security requirements, this work focuses on providing the comprehensive analysis on various authentication schemes employed for providing efficient authentication in the VANET. In this paper, a comprehensive analysis on various authentication schemes in VANET is carried out to highlight their advantages and limitations. Moreover, this paper also provides detailed analysis of various authentication protocols with respect to anonymity, integrity, reliability and authenticity to pave the way for the future researchers for designing efficient authentication protocol for achieving secure communication in VANET.

2023 A comprehensive survey on fuzzy-based intelligent intrusion detection system for internet of things
abstract
Internet of things (IoT) is rapidly expanding, and it is having a greater impact on daily life. The internet of things is widely applied in a wide range of industries, from small to large. IoT-based is a collection of distributed smart devices with software that is capable of detecting data from a sensing domain, collaborate, and transmit the sensed data to a sink via internet as a backbone using multi-hop communication. Due to its resource constrained nature and also since the communication between the devices takes place via an open channel, providing security and monitoring the behaviour of the devices is a major challenge. It attracts cybercriminals attention, which have made IoT an easy target for malicious attacks. In the literature, various IoT-based intrusion detection systems (IDSs) have been proposed to address the security challenges of the IoT network. In this paper, a survey on fuzzy-based IDSs is carried out for highlighting their contribution and limitations with reference to intrusion detection accuracy, false positive rate and overall network performance. Moreover, this survey provides a detail analysis on fuzzy-based intrusion detection systems which aims in analysing intrusion detection accuracy and minimising false data rate to show the way for the future direction.

2022 Comprehensive survey on data dissemination protocols for efficient reprogramming in Internet of Things
abstract
SUMMARY The Internet of Things (IoT) is a wide network of interconnected intelligent objects which can recognize the natural phenomenon of the deployed environment with the help of sensors and transmit the sensed information to other devices via internet as a backbone. Data dissemination is one of the important activities in IoT. Data dissemination is the process of updating the design framework of the sensor nodes to make the sensor nodes in IoT device to perform the intended services. Reprogramming is the process of entire change in the configuration parameters of the nodes and reconfiguration is the process of minor modification in the configuration parameter. In data dissemination, the design framework is typically disseminated through the sensor nodes to the base station using multi‐hop communication. In this article, a comprehensive survey on various dissemination approaches such as topology, reliability, scalability, structure, centralized, and de‐centralized are carried out to highlight with their advantages and limitations. Moreover, the proposed survey provides a detailed analysis on both reprogramming–related to data dissemination and reconfiguration‐related to data dissemination in order to improve the efficiency of data dissemination.

2020 Intrusion detection using dynamic feature selection and fuzzy temporal decision tree classification for wireless sensor networks
abstract
Intrusion detection systems assume a noteworthy job in the provision of security in wireless Sensor networks. The existing intrusion detection systems focus only on the detection of the known types of attacks. However, it neglects to recognise the new types of attacks, which are introduced by malicious users leading to vulnerability and information loss in the network. In order to address this challenge, a new intrusion detection system, which detects the known and unknown types of attacks using an intelligent decision tree classification algorithm, has been proposed. For this purpose, a novel feature selection algorithm named dynamic recursive feature selection algorithm, which selects an optimal number of features from the data set is proposed. In addition, an intelligent fuzzy temporal decision tree algorithm is also proposed by extending the decision tree algorithm and integrated with convolution neural networks to detect the intruders effectively. The experimental analysis carried out using KDD cup data set and network trace data set demonstrates the effectiveness of this proposed approach. It proved that the false positive rate, energy consumption, and delay are reduced in the proposed work. In addition, the proposed system increases the network performance through increased packet delivery ratio.
