2026 Align-for-Fusion: Harmonizing Triple Preferences via Dual-oriented Diffusion for Cross-domain Sequential Recommendation
abstract
Personalized sequential recommendation aims to predict the appropriate items to users from their behavioral sequences. To alleviate the data sparsity and interest drift issues, conventional approaches typically utilize the additional behaviors from other domains via cross-domain transition. However, existing cross-domain sequential recommendation (CDSR) algorithms follow the align-then-fusion paradigm which conducts the representation-level alignment across multiple domains and mechanically combine them for recommendation, overlooking the fine-grained multi-domain fusion. Inspired by the advancements of diffusion models (DMs) in distribution matching, we propose an align-for-fusion framework for CDSR to Harmonize triple preferences utilizing Dual-oriented DMs (HorizonRec). Specifically, we first investigate the uncertainty injection of DMs and attribute the fundamental factor of the instability in existing DMs recommenders to the stochastic noise and propose a Mixed-conditioned Distribution Retrieval strategy which leverages the retrieved distribution from users' authentic behavioral logic as a bridge across the triple domains, enabling consistent multi-domain preference modeling. To suppress the potential noise and emphasize target-relevant interests during multi-domain user representation fusion, we further propose a Dual-oriented Preference Diffusion method to guide the extraction of preferences aligned with users' authentic interests from each domain under the supervision of the mixed representation. We conduct extensive experiments and analyses on four CDSR datasets from two distinct platforms to verify the effectiveness and robustness of our HorizonRec and its effective mechanism in fine-grained fusion of triple domains. Our code and datasets are available in https://github.com/YongfuZha/HorizonRec.

2025 A Quality Prediction Approach for Compressor Blade Manufacturing With Various Geometric Dimensions
abstract
As the core component of aero engines, compressor blades in turbine engines have complex surface geometry requirements. With the rapid iteration of the turbine power system, the compressor blades used are constantly updated. An accurate prediction model that can quickly adapt to new blade production on manufacturing processes is urgently needed. However, most of the existing technologies cannot meet the high precision requirements of blade manufacturing, and the lack of data for newer blades makes training a predictive model in a new machining task a high time and economic cost. In this paper, we propose a domain generalization-based quality prediction framework for high-precision compressor blade manufacturing processes. The framework can make full use of the relevant manufacturing process data of historical blades to build a domain generalization model for adapting to the prediction of processing accuracy of new blades that have not been processed before. In particular, this study proposes a non-invasive generalization solution that meets accuracy requirements. Coordinate measuring machine (CMM) data is used as input features for prediction, rather than retrofitting sensors onto machinery after installation. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed framework, experiments were conducted on four series of aerospace compressor blades from Wuxi Turbine Blade Co., Ltd., China. CMM data from key stages such as blade root milling and integrated precision milling are used as input to predict final geometric errors. Comparison results verify that the proposed framework achieves the smallest prediction error at 0.037 mm, 0.013 mm, 0.021 mm, and 0.016 mm for four blades respectively.

2023 Cross-Modal Content Inference and Feature Enrichment for Cold-Start Recommendation
abstract
Multimedia recommendation aims to fuse the multi-modal information of items for feature enrichment to improve the recommendation performance. However, existing methods typically introduce multi-modal information based on collaborative information to improve the overall recommendation precision, while failing to explore its cold-start recommendation performance. Meanwhile, these above methods are only applicable when such multi-modal data is available. To address this problem, this paper proposes a recommendation framework, named Cross-modal Content Inference and Feature Enrichment Recommendation (CIERec), which exploits the multi-modal information to improve its cold-start recommendation performance. Specifically, CIERec first introduces image annotation as the privileged information to help guide the mapping of unified features from the visual space to the semantic space in the training phase. And then CIERec enriches the content representation with the fusion of collaborative, visual, and cross-modal inferred representations, so as to improve its cold-start recommendation performance. Experimental results on two real-world datasets show that the content representations learned by CIERec are able to achieve superior cold-start recommendation performance over existing visually-aware recommendation algorithms. More importantly, CIERec can consistently achieve significant improvements with different conventional visually-aware backbones, which verifies its universality and effectiveness.
