2024 Bi-Fusion of Structure and Deformation at Multi-Scale for Joint Segmentation and Registration
abstract
Medical image segmentation and registration are two fundamental and highly related tasks. However, current works focus on the mutual promotion between the two at the loss function level, ignoring the feature information generated by the encoder-decoder network during the task-specific feature mapping process and the potential inter-task feature relationship. This paper proposes a unified multi-task joint learning framework based on bi-fusion of structure and deformation at multi-scale, called BFM-Net, which simultaneously achieves the segmentation results and deformation field in a single-step estimation. BFM-Net consists of a segmentation subnetwork (SegNet), a registration subnetwork (RegNet), and the multi-task connection module (MTC). The MTC module is used to transfer the latent feature representation between segmentation and registration at multi-scale and link different tasks at the network architecture level, including the spatial attention fusion module (SAF), the multi-scale spatial attention fusion module (MSAF) and the velocity field fusion module (VFF). Extensive experiments on MR, CT and ultrasound images demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach. The MTC module can increase the Dice scores of segmentation and registration by 3.2%, 1.6%, 2.2%, and 6.2%, 4.5%, 3.0%, respectively. Compared with six state-of-the-art algorithms for segmentation and registration, BFM-Net can achieve superior performance in various modal images, fully demonstrating its effectiveness and generalization.

2023 RISTrack: Robust Infrared Ship Tracking With Modified Appearance Feature Extraction and Matching Strategy
abstract
Infrared (IR) ship tracking is becoming increasingly important in various applications. However, it remains a challenging task as the information that can be obtained from infrared images is limited. Aiming at enhancing IR ship tracking accuracy, we propose an innovative approach by presenting feature integration module (FIM) and backup matching module (BMM). FIM takes appearance feature, complete intersection over union (CIoU), and motion direction metrics into account. Regarding appearance feature extraction, an end-to-end characteristic learning strategy with a cross-guided multi-granularity fusion network is proposed to obtain more integral appearance features and enhance re-identification accuracy, which helps to distinguish individual IR ship targets better. Besides, a backup matching strategy is then used to match the unmatched tracks and detections after cascaded matching. Virtual trajectories are generated for the matched tracks to optimize parameters by parameter optimization module (POM). The accumulation of errors caused by the lack of observations in the Kalman filter is reduced. Thus, the position of IR ships can be estimated more accurately, and more robust IR ship tracking can be achieved. In addition, we present a sequential frame IR ship tracking dataset, providing the first public benchmark for testing IR ship tracking performance. Experimental results indicate that the MOTA, MOTP and IDs of the proposed method are 73.441, 80.826, and 32, respectively, outperforming other state-of-the-art methods. This demonstrates the superior robustness of the proposed method, particularly when the IR ships are occluded or the target texture information is lacking. 2019 Network Security Situation Prediction Based on Long Short-Term Memory Network
abstract
Due to the rapid development of the network, the network security situation is increasingly severe. The network security situation forecast analyzes the past network data and predicts the network situation to the warning of possible network threats in the future. Network security situation prediction can play an important role in network defense, network security warning and network resource allocation. We chose to predict network data first and then evaluate the network situation. We proposed a network security situation prediction method based on LSTM-XGBoost model. We built an improved LSTM neural network model to predict network security data and then used the XGBoost model to conduct situation assessment on the predicted data. The results of comparative experiments show that the model proposed in this paper can complete the task of network security situation prediction more efficiently and accurately.

2018 Efficient Multi-Pair Active Friending in Online Social Networks
abstract
In recent years, friending recommendation has played a crucial role on the explosive growth of online social networks. Prior studies on this problem have the following two limitations: i) they assume that there is only one pair of source and target at one time; and ii) the intermediate user can indefinitely forward friending requests. These two assumptions are impractical for online social networks. To bridge this gap, we study how to maximize the acceptance probability for multi-pair active friending in online social networks. In this paper, we first establish a probability model for the Multi-pair Active Friending with Tolerance and then propose two efficient algorithms: Multi-pair Active Friending algorithm for Conflict Resolution (MAFCR) and Group-based Multi-pair Active Friending algorithm for Conflict Resolution (MAFCR-G). Through extensive experiments, we show that the algorithm MAFCR significantly outperforms the baseline algorithm in terms of average acceptance probability, and the algorithm MAFCR-G greatly reduces the running time while obtaining similar average acceptance probability.
