2026 Thermal-Physics Guided Infrared Image Super-Resolution with Dynamic High-Frequency Amplification
abstract
The practical deployment of infrared imaging is hindered by its inherent output of low-resolution (LR) images. While the super-resolution (SR) technique is a promising remedy, we discover two major challenges concerning infrared image SR: preserving accurate thermal distributions, which are fundamental to infrared imaging, and addressing the ambiguity of high-frequency elements compared to visible images. To tackle these issues, we propose ThesIS, a tailored framework that utilizes Thermal-Physics guidance and dynamic high-frequency amplification for Infrared image Super-resolution to produce high-resolution (HR) images with accurate physical properties and delicate visual details. Specifically, Thermal Regularization is introduced to reconstruct the accurate thermal radiation distribution via the introduced Infrared Radiation Intensity Alignment Loss, mitigating the adverse effects of complex degradations while conducting initial upscaling. Additionally, we design a guidance mechanism to counter the randomness of the diffusion model, further refining the preservation of physical information. The proposed Dynamic High-Frequency Amplification effectively strengthens the ambiguous high-frequency information present in infrared images, leading to improved texture details and superior visual quality. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ThesIS successfully recovers accurate thermal information while delivering visually satisfying results with state-of-the-art performance. Furthermore, we introduce the InfraredSR dataset, which comprises 39,833 images at a resolution of 512 × 512, hoping to advance research in this field.

2025 HgtJIT: Just-in-Time Vulnerability Detection Based on Heterogeneous Graph Transformer
abstract
Vulnerability detection plays a crucial role in the software development lifecycle. Commit-level vulnerability detection aims to detect whether the changed code contributed to potential vulnerabilities by the developer when submitting the code, which is also referred to as Just-In-Time (JIT) vulnerability detection. Previous JIT vulnerability detection approaches relied on code metrics and textual features, which were unable to effectively characterize vulnerability-contributing commits (VCCs). Recently, CodeJIT (a code-centric learning-based approach) has been proposed to detect vulnerability at the commit-level. However, CodeJIT still has its limitations: imprecise feature representation, static code embedding, and underutilized heterogeneous information. In this paper, we propose HgtJIT, a JIT vulnerability detection approach based on a Heterogeneous Graph Transformer (HGT) in order to address several limitations of the state-of-the-art CodeJIT approach. We propose diffPDG to represent code changes and use the CCT5 model (the latest feature encoder pre-trained on a large-scale code change corpus) to embed graph nodes to generate the most meaningful vector representations. In addition, we employ HGT to adequately utilize heterogeneous information of the graph to learn vulnerability features. Extensive experiments have shown that HgtJIT is the best-performing model, with F1 and AUC improvement of 14.6%-37.5% and 12.2%-53.7% compared to the baseline model

2022 A Fused Method of Machine Learning and Dynamic Time Warping for Road Anomalies Detection
abstract
To discover the condition of roads, a large number of detection algorithms have been proposed, most of which apply machine learning methods by time and frequency processing in acceleration and velocity data. However, few of them pay attention to the similarity of the data itself when the vehicle passes over the road anomalies. In this article, we propose a method to detect road anomalies by comparing the data windows with various length using Dynamic Time Warping(DTW) method. We propose a model to prove that the maximum acceleration of a vehicle passing through a road anomaly is linear with the height of the road barrier, and it’s verified by an experiment. This finding suggests that it is reasonable to divide the window by threshold detection. We also apply a brief random forest filter to roughly distinguish normal windows from anomaly windows using the aforementioned theory, in order to reduce the time consumption. From our study, a system is proposed that utilizes a series of acceleration data to discover where might be anomalies on the road, named as Quick Filter Based Dynamic Time Warping (QFB-DTW). We show that our method performs clearly beyond some existing methods. To support this conclusion, experiments are conducted based on three data sets and the results are statistically analyzed. We expect to lay the first step to some new thoughts to the field of road anomalies detection in subsequent work.

2020 Time-Aware Smart Object Recommendation in Social Internet of Things
abstract
With a large number of possible smart objects in Social Internet of Things (SIoT), a recommendation system is of great necessity to help users find smart objects they need. However, traditional recommendation techniques usually exploit user's rating or feedback information, which are impractical as such kind of user preference information is difficult to collect in the SIoT environment. In addition, temporal context plays an important role in smart object recommendation since most users tend to utilize different objects at different time slots in a day, e.g., making coffee at morning and playing games on weekends. In this article, we propose a time-aware smart object recommendation model by jointly considering user's preference over time and smart object's social similarity. We first learn user's preference over time from his/her object usage events with a latent probabilistic model. Then, we estimate the smart object's social similarity by embedding their heterogeneous social relationships into a shared lower dimensional space. Finally, we generate the recommendation list with an item-based collaborative filtering. We conduct a comprehensive experimental study based on two real-world data sets, and the experimental results show our method outperforms all baselines significantly in terms of recommendation effectiveness.

2019 HR3AM: A Heat Resilient Design for RRAM-based Neuromorphic Computing
abstract
RRAM based accelerators have been widely adopted in many neuromorphic designs. However, RRAM cells are sensitive to temperature, which changes RRAM’s conductance. Such heat-induced interference can significantly decrease the computational accuracy because values are functions of RRAM conductance. In this paper, we propose HR3AM, a heat resilience design, which improves accuracy and optimizes the thermal distribution of RRAM based neural network accelerators. HR3AM consists of two key mechanisms: bitwidth downgrading and tile pairing. Bitwidth downgrading re-represents weights by shifting the conductance to improve the network inference accuracy. Tile pairing matches hot crossbar units with pre-defined idle units to mitigate high-temperature issues. We evaluated HR3AM on four real world neural network models. Results show that HR3AM improves classification accuracy by up to 41.8% compared with current state-of-the-art designs. For thermal optimization, HR3AM effectively decreases the maximum temperature by 6.2K and average temperature by 6K.
