1988 Microprocessor implementation of fast Walsh-Hadamard transform for calculation of symmetrical components
abstract
A microprocessor-based algorithm for the calculation of symmetrical components of a three-phase system is presented. The symmetrical component transformation is applied to the input waveform, and the harmonic content in the sequence components thus obtained is filtered out by using the fast Walsh-Hadamard transform. The algorithm is fast and accurate and the three sequence components can be calculated in 3/4th of a cycle after fault occurrence.>

1986 An iterative approach to reduced-order modeling of synchronous machines using singular perturbation
abstract
An iterative method is proposed to derive multi-time-scale reduced-order models of synchronous machines. The method is based on the theory of singular perturbation. The results are compared with those obtained using the classical quasi-steady-state (qss) technique. The approach presented improves the accuracy of the reduced-order models.

1986 Near-optimal controllers for synchronous machines with prescribed degree of stability via iterative separation of time scales
abstract
Near-optimal controller for synchronous machines with prescribed degree of stability using the slow subsystem derived through iterative approach is proposed. The closed-loop system poles are constrained to the left of Re (s)0 and α ∈ (0, α0). The results are compared with those obtained via the classical quasisteady-state (qss) technique.
