2026 AdaSpec: Adaptive Multilingual Speculative Decoding with Self-Synthesized Language-Aware Training and Vocabulary Simplification
abstract
Speculative decoding accelerates large language model (LLM) inference by using a lightweight drafter to propose multiple tokens, which are then verified in parallel by the base model. While effective in English, existing methods often struggle in multilingual scenarios due to static vocabularies and the lack of language-specific instruction data. To address these limitations, we present AdaSpec, a multilingual speculative decoding framework that dynamically adapts both the drafter and vocabulary at decoding time. AdaSpec generates language-specific instruction data using the LLM itself, enabling training of drafters for low-resource languages. It also constructs adaptive vocabularies tailored to each language's characteristics. In addition, we introduce Multi-SpecBench, a comprehensive multilingual benchmark covering seven languages and seven generation tasks, to evaluate multilingual speculative decoding performance. Extensive experiments show that AdaSpec achieves up to 2.3× speedup over the state-of-the-art method of EAGLE-2, even in English, demonstrating its effectiveness across diverse languages and tasks.

2026 Docora: A System for Interactive Knowledge Extraction and Visualization from Scientific PDFs
abstract
Scientific research articles, typically distributed in PDF format, contain valuable knowledge but remain challenging to convert into structured datasets due to fragmented workflows that separate parsing, annotation, and visualization. Existing annotation platforms operate on plain text, which requires an additional PDF-to-text conversion step before annotation, while PDF parsing tools lack automated annotation suggestions. To bridge this gap, we introduce Docora, a system that unifies PDF parsing, automated annotation assistance, and multi-view visualization into a single interactive platform. Docora enables researchers to configure entity and relation schemas for any domain, automatically generates initial annotations using rule-based, model-based, or LLM-based extractors, and provides synchronized visualizations across PDF, text, and graph views. Users can refine annotations directly on the PDF canvas, ensuring consistency between document layout and structured representations. The system’s source code is publicly available to facilitate further research and development.

2021 Ranking Warnings of Static Analysis Tools Using Representation Learning
abstract
Static analysis tools are frequently used to detect potential vulnerabilities in software systems. However, an inevitable problem of these tools is their large number of warnings with a high false positive rate, which consumes time and effort for investigating. In this paper, we present DEFP, a novel method for ranking static analysis warnings. Based on the intuition that warnings which have similar contexts tend to have similar labels (true positive or false positive), DEFP is built with two BiLSTM models to capture the patterns associated with the contexts of labeled warnings. After that, for a set of new warnings, DEFP can calculate and rank them according to their likelihoods to be true positives (i.e., actual vulnerabilities). Our experimental results on a dataset of 10 real-world projects show that using DEFP, by investigating only 60% of the warnings, developers can find +90% of actual vulnerabilities. Moreover, DEFP improves the state-of-the-art approach 30% in both Precision and Recall.
