| 2026 | X-LRM: X-Ray Large Reconstruction Model for Extremely Sparse-View Computed Tomography Recovery in One SecondabstractSparse-view 3D CT reconstruction aims to recover volumetric structures from a limited number of 2D X-ray projections. Existing feedforward methods are constrained by the scarcity of large-scale training datasets and the absence of direct and consistent 3D representations. In this paper, we propose an X-ray Large Reconstruction Model (X-LRM) for extremely sparse-view ($X$-LRM consists of two key components:$X$-former and$X$triplane.$\quad X$-former can handle an arbitrary number of input views using an MLP-based image tokenizer and a Transformer-based encoder. The output tokens are then upsampled into our X-triplane representation, which models the 3D radiodensity as an implicit neural field. To support the training of X-LRM, we introduce Torso-16K, a largescale dataset comprising over 16 K volume-projection pairs of various torso organs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that X-LRM outperforms the state-of-the-art method by 1.5$d B$and achieves$27 \times$faster speed with better flexibility. Furthermore, the evaluation of lung segmentation tasks also suggests the practical value of our approach. Our code and dataset will be released at https://github.com/Richard-Guofeng-Zhang/X-LRM. | 2026 | Iris3D: 3D Generation via Synchronized Diffusion DistillationabstractWe introduce Iris3D, a novel 3D content generation system that generates vivid textures and detailed 3D shapes while preserving the input information. Our system integrates a Multi-View Large Reconstruction Model (MVLRM [Li et al. 2023b ]) to generate a coarse 3D mesh and introduces a novel optimization scheme called Synchronized Diffusion Distillation (SDD) for refinement. Unlike previous refined methods based on Score Distillation Sampling (SDS), which suffer from unstable optimization and geometric over-smoothing due to ambiguities across different views and modalities, our method effectively distills consistent multi-view and multi-modal priors from 2D diffusion models in a training-free manner. This enables robust optimization of 3D representations. Additionally, because SDD is training-free, it preserves the diffusion’s prior knowledge and mitigates potential degradation. This characteristic makes it highly compatible with advanced 2D diffusion techniques like IP-Adapters and ControlNet, allowing for more controllable 3D generation with additional conditioning signals. Experiments demonstrate that our method produces high-quality 3D results with plausible textures and intricate geometric details. | 2026 | RaDe-GS: Rasterizing Depth in Gaussian SplattingabstractGaussian Splatting (GS) has proven to be highly effective in novel view synthesis, achieving high-quality and real-time rendering. However, its potential for reconstructing detailed 3D shapes has not been fully explored. Existing methods often suffer from limited shape accuracy due to the discrete and unstructured nature of Gaussian primitives, which complicates the shape extraction. While recent techniques like 2D GS have attempted to improve shape reconstruction, they often reformulate the Gaussian primitives in ways that reduce both rendering quality and computational efficiency. To address these problems, our work introduces a rasterized approach to render the depth maps and surface normal maps of general 3D Gaussian primitives. Our method not only significantly enhances shape reconstruction accuracy but also maintains the computational efficiency intrinsic to Gaussian Splatting. It achieves a Chamfer distance error comparable to Neuralangelo Li et al. [ 2023 ] on the DTU dataset and maintains similar computational efficiency as the original 3D GS methods. Our method is a significant advancement in Gaussian Splatting and can be directly integrated into existing Gaussian Splatting-based methods. | 2025 | Dora: Sampling and Benchmarking for 3D Shape Variational Auto-EncodersabstractRecent 3D content generation pipelines commonly employ Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) to encode shapes into compact latent representations for diffusion-based generation. However, the widely adopted uniform point sampling strategy in Shape VAE training often leads to a significant loss of geometric details, limiting the quality of shape reconstruction and downstream generation tasks. We present Dora-Vae, a novel approach that enhances VAE reconstruction through our proposed sharp edge sampling strategy and a dual cross-attention mechanism. By identifying and prioritizing regions with high geometric complexity during training, our method significantly improves the preservation of fine-grained shape features. Such sampling strategy and the dual attention mechanism enable the VAE to focus on crucial geometric details that are typically missed by uniform sampling approaches. To systematically evaluate VAE reconstruction quality, we additionally propose Dora-Bench, a benchmark that quantifies shape complexity through the density of sharp edges, introducing a new metric focused on reconstruction accuracy at these salient geometric features. Extensive experiments on the Dora-Bench demonstrate that Dora-Vae achieves comparable reconstruction quality to the state-of-the-art dense XCube-Vae while requiring a latent space at least 8× smaller (1,280 vs. > 10,000 codes). | 2025 | CraftsMan3D: High-fidelity Mesh Generation with 3D Native Diffusion and Interactive Geometry RefinerabstractWe present a novel generative 3D modeling system, coined CraftsMan3D, which can generate high-fidelity 3D geometries with highly varied shapes, detailed surfaces, and, notably, allows for refining the geometry in an interactive manner. Despite the significant advancements in 3D generation, existing methods still struggle with lengthy optimization processes, self-occlusion, irregular mesh topologies, and difficulties in accommodating user editing, consequently impeding their widespread adoption and implementation in 3D modeling softwares. Our work is inspired by the craftsman, who usually roughs out the holistic figure of the work first and elaborates the surface details subsequently. Specifically, we first introduce a robust data preprocessing pipeline that utilizes visibility check and winding mumber to maximize the use of existing 3D data. Leveraging this data, we employ a 3D-native DiT model that directly models the distribution of 3D data in latent space, generating coarse geometries in seconds. Subsequently, a normal-based geometry refiner enhances local surface details, which can be applied automatically or interactively with user input. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves high efficacy in producing superior quality 3D meshes compared to existing methods. | 2025 | Lotus: Diffusion-based Visual Foundation Model for High-quality Dense PredictionabstractLeveraging the visual priors of pre-trained text-to-image diffusion models offers a promising solution to enhance zero-shot generalization in dense prediction tasks. However, existing methods often uncritically use the original diffusion formulation, which may not be optimal due to the fundamental differences between dense prediction and image generation. In this paper, we provide a systemic analysis of the diffusion formulation for the dense prediction, focusing on both quality and efficiency. And we find that the original parameterization type for image generation, which learns to predict noise, is harmful for dense prediction; the multi-step noising/denoising diffusion process is also unnecessary and challenging to optimize. Based on these insights, we introduce $\textbf{Lotus}$, a diffusion-based visual foundation model with a simple yet effective adaptation protocol for dense prediction. Specifically, Lotus is trained to directly predict annotations instead of noise, thereby avoiding harmful variance. We also reformulate the diffusion process into a single-step procedure, simplifying optimization and significantly boosting inference speed. Additionally, we introduce a novel tuning strategy called detail preserver, which achieves more accurate and fine-grained predictions. Without scaling up the training data or model capacity, Lotus achieves SoTA performance in zero-shot depth and normal estimation across various datasets. It also enhances efficiency, being significantly faster than most existing diffusion-based methods. Lotus' superior quality and efficiency also enable a wide range of practical applications, such as joint estimation, single/multi-view 3D reconstruction, etc. Wei Yin 0006, Yixun Liang, Leheng Li, Kaiqiang Zhou, Ying-Cong Chen |

| 2025 | LucidFusion: Reconstructing 3D Gaussians with Arbitrary Unposed ImagesabstractAbstract Recent large reconstruction models have made notable progress in generating high‐quality 3D objects from single images. However, current reconstruction methods often rely on explicit camera pose estimation or fixed viewpoints, restricting their flexibility and practical applicability. We reformulate 3D reconstruction as image‐to‐image translation and introduce the Relative Coordinate Map (RCM), which aligns multiple unposed images to a “main” view without pose estimation. While RCM simplifies the process, its lack of global 3D supervision can yield noisy outputs. To address this, we propose Relative Coordinate Gaussians (RCG) as an extension to RCM, which treats each pixel's coordinates as a Gaussian center and employs differentiable rasterization for consistent geometry and pose recovery. Our LucidFusion framework handles an arbitrary number of unposed inputs, producing robust 3D reconstructions within seconds and paving the way for more flexible, pose‐free 3D pipelines. | 2025 | Multi-View Large Reconstruction Model via Geometry-Aware Positional Encoding and AttentionabstractDespite recent advancements in the Large Reconstruction Model (LRM) demonstrating impressive results, when extending its input from single image to multiple images, it exhibits inefficiencies, subpar geometric and texture quality, as well as slower convergence speed than expected. It is attributed to that, LRM formulates 3D reconstruction as a naive images-to-3D translation problem, ignoring the strong 3D coherence among the input images. In this article, we propose a Multi-view Large Reconstruction Model (M-LRM) designed to reconstruct high-quality 3D shapes from multi-views in a 3D-aware manner. Specifically, we introduce a multi-view consistent cross-attention scheme to enable M-LRM to accurately query information from the input images. Moreover, we employ the 3D priors of the input multi-view images to initialize the triplane tokens. Compared to previous methods, the proposed M-LRM can generate 3D shapes of high fidelity. Experimental studies demonstrate that our model achieves a significant performance gain and faster training convergence. | 2024 | LucidDreamer: Towards High-Fidelity Text-to-3D Generation via Interval Score MatchingabstractThe recent advancements in text-to-3D generation mark a significant milestone in generative models, unlocking new possibilities for creating imaginative 3D assets across var-ious real-world scenarios. While recent advancements in text-to-3D generation have shown promise, they often fall short in rendering detailed and high-quality 3D models. This problem is especially prevalent as many methods base themselves on Score Distillation Sampling (SDS). This paper identifies a notable deficiency in SDS, that it brings inconsistent and low-quality updating direction for the 3D model, causing the over-smoothing effect. To address this, we propose a novel approach called Interval Score Matching (ISM). ISM employs deterministic diffusing trajectories and utilizes interval-based score matching to counteract over-smoothing. Furthermore, we incorporate 3D Gaussian Splatting into our text-to-3D generation pipeline. Extensive experiments show that our model largely outperforms the state-of-the-art in quality and training efficiency. | 2024 | HDR-GS: Efficient High Dynamic Range Novel View Synthesis at 1000x Speed via Gaussian SplattingabstractHigh dynamic range (HDR) novel view synthesis (NVS) aims to create photorealistic images from novel viewpoints using HDR imaging techniques. The rendered HDR images capture a wider range of brightness levels containing more details of the scene than normal low dynamic range (LDR) images. Existing HDR NVS methods are mainly based on NeRF. They suffer from long training time and slow inference speed. In this paper, we propose a new framework, High Dynamic Range Gaussian Splatting (HDR-GS), which can efficiently render novel HDR views and reconstruct LDR images with a user input exposure time. Specifically, we design a Dual Dynamic Range (DDR) Gaussian point cloud model that uses spherical harmonics to fit HDR color and employs an MLP-based tone-mapper to render LDR color. The HDR and LDR colors are then fed into two Parallel Differentiable Rasterization (PDR) processes to reconstruct HDR and LDR views. To establish the data foundation for the research of 3D Gaussian splatting-based methods in HDR NVS, we recalibrate the camera parameters and compute the initial positions for Gaussian point clouds. Comprehensive experiments show that HDR-GS surpasses the state-of-the-art NeRF-based method by 3.84 and 1.91 dB on LDR and HDR NVS while enjoying 1000$\times$ inference speed and only costing 6.3\% training time. | 2023 | ReTR: Modeling Rendering Via Transformer for Generalizable Neural Surface ReconstructionabstractGeneralizable neural surface reconstruction techniques have attracted great attention in recent years. However, they encounter limitations of low confidence depth distribution and inaccurate surface reasoning due to the oversimplified volume rendering process employed. In this paper, we present Reconstruction TRansformer (ReTR), a novel framework that leverages the transformer architecture to redesign the rendering process, enabling complex render interaction modeling. It introduces a learnable $\textit{meta-ray token}$ and utilizes the cross-attention mechanism to simulate the interaction of rendering process with sampled points and render the observed color. Meanwhile, by operating within a high-dimensional feature space rather than the color space, ReTR mitigates sensitivity to projected colors in source views. Such improvements result in accurate surface assessment with high confidence. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach on various datasets, showcasing how our method outperforms the current state-of-the-art approaches in terms of reconstruction quality and generalization ability. $\textit{Our code is available at }$ https://github.com/YixunLiang/ReTR. | 2023 | CP-NeRF: Conditionally Parameterized Neural Radiance Fields for Cross-scene Novel View SynthesisabstractAbstract Neural radiance fields (NeRF) have demonstrated a promising research direction for novel view synthesis. However, the existing approaches either require per‐scene optimization that takes significant computation time or condition on local features which overlook the global context of images. To tackle this shortcoming, we propose the Conditionally Parameterized Neural Radiance Fields (CP‐NeRF), a plug‐in module that enables NeRF to leverage contextual information from different scales. Instead of optimizing the model parameters of NeRFs directly, we train a Feature Pyramid hyperNetwork (FPN) that extracts view‐dependent global and local information from images within or across scenes to produce the model parameters. Our model can be trained end‐to‐end with standard photometric loss from NeRF. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can significantly boost the performance of NeRF, achieving state‐of‐the‐art results in various benchmark datasets. | 2022 | PMACNet: Parallel Multiscale Attention Constraint Network for Pan-SharpeningabstractPan-sharpening, a task involving information fusion, entails merging panchromatic (PAN) images with high spatial resolution and low-resolution multispectral (LRMS) images in order to obtain high-resolution multispectral (HRMS) images. Due to deep learning’s excellent regression capabilities, it has recently become the dominating technique for this assignment. Meanwhile, the development of the transformer, a novel deep learning architecture for natural language processing, has provided researchers with new insights. In this letter, we seek to extend transformer’s excellent mechanisms to pixel-level fusion challenges. We designed a parallel convolutional neural network structure for learning both the regions of interest from the LRMS images and the residuals required for regression to HRMS images. Then, in our proposed pixelwise attention constraint (PAC) module, the residuals will be changed utilizing the learned region of interest. In addition, we presented a novel multireceptive-field attention block (MRFAB) to frame our network. Experiments on two datasets also show that our work is better than the mainstream algorithms at both indicators and visualization. Yixun Liang, Ping Zhang 0023, Yang Mei, Tingqi Wang |
