2026 ConsistentID: Portrait Generation With Multimodal Fine-Grained Identity Preserving
abstract
Diffusion-based technologies have made significant strides, particularly in personalized and customized facial generation. However, existing methods struggle to achieve high-fidelity and detailed identity (ID) consistency. This is mainly due to two challenges: insufficient fine-grained control over specific facial areas and the absence of a comprehensive strategy for ID preservation that accounts for both intricate facial details and the overall facial structure. To address these limitations, we introduce ConsistentID, an innovative method crafted for diverse identity-preserving portrait generation under fine-grained multimodal facial prompts, utilizing only a single reference image. ConsistentID comprises two core components: a multimodal facial prompt generator and an ID-preservation network. The facial prompt generator combines localized facial features, facial feature descriptions, and overall facial descriptions to enhance the precision of facial detail reconstruction. The ID-preservation network, optimized with a facial attention localization strategy, ensures consistent identity preservation across facial regions. Together, these components leverage fine-grained multimodal identity information to improve identity preservation accuracy significantly. To drive ConsistentID's training, we propose a fine-grained portrait dataset, FGID, with over 500,000 facial images, offering greater diversity and comprehensiveness than existing public facial datasets. Experimental results substantiate that our ConsistentID achieves exceptional precision and diversity in personalized facial generation, surpassing existing methods in the MyStyle dataset. In addition, although ConsistentID introduces more multimodal ID information, it still maintains rapid inference speed during the generation process.

2025 Robust-MVTON: Learning Cross-Pose Feature Alignment and Fusion for Robust Multi-View Virtual Try-On
abstract
This paper tackles the emerging challenge of multi-view virtual try-on, utilizing both front- and back-view clothing images as inputs. Extending frontal try-on methods to a multi-view context is not straightforward. Simply concatenating the two input views or encoding their features for a generative model, such as a diffusion model, often fails to produce satisfactory results. The main challenge lies in effectively extracting and fusing meaningful clothing features from these input views. Existing explicit warping-based methods, which establish direct correspondence between input and target views, tend to introduce artifacts, particularly when there is a significant disparity between the input and target views. Conversely, implicit encoding-based methods often lose spatial information about clothing, resulting in outputs that lack detail. To overcome these challenges, we propose Robust-MVTON, an end-to-end method for robust and high-quality multi-view try-ons. Our approach introduces a novel cross-pose feature alignment technique to guide the fusion of clothing features and incorporates a newly designed loss function for training. With the fused multi-scale clothing features, we employ a coarse-to-fine diffusion model to generate realistic and detailed results. Extensive experiments conducted on the Deepfashion and MPV datasets affirm the superiority of our method, achieving state-of-the-art performance.

2025 CatVTON: Concatenation Is All You Need for Virtual Try-On with Diffusion Models
abstract
Virtual try-on methods based on diffusion models achieve realistic effects but often require additional encoding modules, a large number of training parameters, and complex preprocessing, which increases the burden on training and inference. In this work, we re-evaluate the necessity of additional modules and analyze how to improve training efficiency and reduce redundant steps in the inference process. Based on these insights, we propose CatVTON, a simple and efficient virtual try-on diffusion model that transfers in-shop or worn garments of arbitrary categories to target individuals by concatenating them along spatial dimensions as inputs of the diffusion model. The efficiency of CatVTON is reflected in three aspects: (1) Lightweight network. CatVTON consists only of a VAE and a simplified denoising UNet, removing redundant image and text encoders as well as cross-attentions, and includes just 899.06M parameters. (2) Parameter-efficient training. Through experimental analysis, we identify self-attention modules as crucial for adapting pre-trained diffusion models to the virtual try-on task, enabling high-quality results with only 49.57M training parameters. (3) Simplified inference. CatVTON eliminates unnecessary preprocessing, such as pose estimation, human parsing, and captioning, requiring only a person image and garment reference to guide the virtual try-on process, reducing over 49% memory usage compared to other diffusion-based methods. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CatVTON achieves superior qualitative and quantitative results compared to baseline methods and demonstrates strong generalization performance in in-the-wild scenarios, despite being trained solely on public datasets with 73K samples.
