2026 ProRec-Video: Guiding Hierarchical Interest Transitions for Proactive Short Video Recommendation with Dynamic Feedback Adaptation
abstract
Traditional short video recommendations primarily enhance user retention by reinforcing existing user preferences, potentially leading to information cocoons. Conversely, proactive recommendations aim to diversify user interests by exposing users to content beyond their historical preferences. However, current proactive approaches face three limitations: (1) homogeneous receptivity assumption, neglecting individual differences in users' openness to new interests; (2) short-term item exposure without interest anchoring, focusing on item-level shifts rather than interest evolution; and (3) static feedback utilization, failing to incorporate dynamic user feedback during the recommendation adequately. To address these challenges, we propose ProRec-Video, a proactive framework that guides hierarchical interest transitions through three innovations. First, User Receptivity Profiling assesses individual openness for new interests, ensuring personalized transition pacing. Second, Hierarchical Interest Transition Planning decomposes complex interest shifts into intermediate steps to generate smooth interest transition paths and semantically coherent video sequences, addressing overemphasis on item exposure. Third, Dynamic Feedback Adaptation integrates agent-based simulation and Reflexion mechanisms to refine interest transition paths and video sequences based on real-time user feedback, enhancing adaptability and satisfaction. Extensive experiments on two datasets demonstrate that ProRec-Video achieves a significant improvement in proactive recommendation performance, with an interest transition success rate of 85% and a user satisfaction rate of 78.3%.

2025 MP-GUI: Modality Perception with MLLMs for GUI Understanding
abstract
Graphical user interface (GUI) has become integral to modern society, making it crucial to be understood for human-centric systems. However, unlike natural images or documents, GUIs comprise artificially designed graphical elements arranged to convey specific semantic meanings. Current multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) already proficient in processing graphical and textual components suffer from hurdles in GUI understanding due to the lack of explicit spatial structure modeling. Moreover, obtaining high-quality spatial structure data is challenging due to privacy issues and noisy environments. To address these challenges, we present MP-GUI, a specially designed MLLM for GUI understanding. MP-GUI features three precisely specialized perceivers to extract graphical, textual, and spatial modalities from the screen as GUI-tailored visual clues, with spatial structure refinement strategy and adaptively combined via a fusion gate to meet the specific preferences of different GUI understanding tasks. To cope with the scarcity of training data, we also introduce a pipeline for automatically data collecting. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MP-GUI achieves impressive results on various GUI understanding tasks with limited data. Our codes and datasets are publicly available at https://github.com/BigTaige/MP-GUI.

2025 Correlation-Aware Graph Convolutional Networks for Multi-Label Node Classification
abstract
Multi-label node classification is an important yet under-explored domain in graph mining as many real-world nodes belong to multiple categories rather than just a single one. Although a few efforts have been made by utilizing Graph Convolution Networks (GCNs) to learn node representations and model correlations between multiple labels in the embedding space, they still suffer from the ambiguous feature and ambiguous topology induced by multiple labels, which reduces the credibility of the messages delivered in graphs and overlooks the label correlations on graph data. Therefore, it is crucial to reduce the ambiguity and empower the GCNs for accurate classification. However, this is quite challenging due to the requirement of retaining the distinctiveness of each label while fully harnessing the correlation between labels simultaneously. To address these issues, in this paper, we propose a Correlation-aware Graph Convolutional Network (CorGCN) for multi-label node classification. By introducing a novel Correlation-Aware Graph Decomposition module, CorGCN can learn a graph that contains rich label-correlated information for each label. It then employs a Correlation-Enhanced Graph Convolution to model the relationships between labels during message passing to further bolster the classification process. Extensive experiments on five datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed CorGCN.

2025 PG-Agent: An Agent Powered by Page Graph
abstract
Graphical User Interface (GUI) agents possess significant commercial and social value, and GUI agents powered by advanced multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have demonstrated remarkable potential. Currently, existing GUI agents usually utilize sequential episodes of multi-step operations across pages as the prior GUI knowledge, which fails to capture the complex transition relationship between pages, making it challenging for the agents to deeply perceive the GUI environment and generalize to new scenarios. Therefore, we design an automated pipeline to transform the sequential episodes into page graphs, which explicitly model the graph structure of the pages that are naturally connected by actions. To fully utilize the page graphs, we further introduce Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology to effectively retrieve reliable perception guidelines of GUI from them, and a tailored multi-agent framework PG-Agent with task decomposition strategy is proposed to be injected with the guidelines so that it can generalize to unseen scenarios. Extensive experiments on various benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of PG-Agent, even with limited episodes for page graph construction. Our codes will be publicly available at https://github.com/chenwz-123/PG-Agent.

2025 A Marginal Distributionally Robust Kalman Filter for Sensor Fusion
abstract
This paper proposes a moment-constrained marginal distributionally robust Kalman filter (MC-MDRKF) for centralized state estimation in multi-sensor systems with unknown sensor noise correlations. We first derive a robust static estimator and then extend it to dynamic systems for the MC-MDRKF algorithm. The static estimator defines a marginal distributional uncertainty set using moment constraints and formulates a minimax optimization problem to robustly address unknown correlations. We prove that this minimax problem admits an equivalent convex optimization formulation, enabling efficient numerical solutions. The resulting MC-MDRKF algorithm recursively updates state estimates in dynamic state-space models. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority and robustness of the proposed method in a multi-sensor target tracking scenario.

2025 Machine Learning-Enabled RIS-Assisted mmWave NOMA Systems: RIS Partitioning, Beamforming Design, and Power Allocation
abstract
In this paper, a reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)-assisted millimeter-wave (mmWave) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) communication system is considered, where the RIS is virtually partitioned into several sub-RISs to serve different user clusters. We aim to maximize the sum achievable rate of the considered system by jointly optimizing user clustering, RIS partitioning, active beamforming, passive beamforming, and power allocation, subject to the quality-of-service (QoS) requirements of each user and the maximum transmit power constraint of the base station (BS). To tackle the formulated non-convex joint optimization problem, a three-stage algorithm based on machine learning (ML) is proposed. In the first stage, user clustering is performed by combining the K-means algorithm and the Gaussian mixture model (GMM). In the second stage, a deep learning (DL)-based RIS partitioning method is proposed, which utilizes double cascaded deep neural networks (DNNs) to partition the RIS into multiple sub-RISs virtually, each of which serves a user cluster. In the third stage, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) algorithm based on deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) is invoked to obtain the active beamforming, passive beamforming, and power allocation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed RIS partitioning method can effectively improve the utilization of RIS and thereby increase the total throughput of the system. Moreover, the sum achievable rate obtained by the proposed ML-based three-stage algorithm is higher than that of the conventional alternating optimization (AO) algorithm.

2023 Subtype-DCC: decoupled contrastive clustering method for cancer subtype identification based on multi-omics data
abstract
Due to the high heterogeneity and complexity of cancers, patients with different cancer subtypes often have distinct groups of genomic and clinical characteristics. Therefore, the discovery and identification of cancer subtypes are crucial to cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. Recent technological advances have accelerated the increasing availability of multi-omics data for cancer subtyping. To take advantage of the complementary information from multi-omics data, it is necessary to develop computational models that can represent and integrate different layers of data into a single framework. Here, we propose a decoupled contrastive clustering method (Subtype-DCC) based on multi-omics data integration for clustering to identify cancer subtypes. The idea of contrastive learning is introduced into deep clustering based on deep neural networks to learn clustering-friendly representations. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed Subtype-DCC model in identifying cancer subtypes over the currently available state-of-the-art clustering methods. The strength of Subtype-DCC is also supported by the survival and clinical analysis.
