2013 Implementing Personalized Energy Visualization Service in Home Network System
abstract
Visualizing energy consumption is a useful method that prompts people to perform energy-saving behaviors. Many systems for the energy visualization come onto the market. Since purposes and attitudes to energy saving vary among individuals, it is difficult to satisfy all users by static ready-made visualization. To cope with the problem, this paper presents Personalized Energy Visualization Service (PEVS), which dynamically generates appropriate visualization for individuals based on preferences. PEVS extracts user's requirement with a questionnaire wizard. We design the questionnaire in a goal-oriented fashion, from viewpoints of term, unit and scope. We then consider how to select an appropriate graph from the answer of the questionnaire. An experimental evaluation shows that every subject was able to create a unique personalized visualization easily.

2009 Tuvalu Visualization Project
abstract
Visualization Project is an artistic visualization using Google Earth. This project is composed of two elements: Visualization and communication system Build the Future with 10,000 Tuvaluan for NPO Tuvalu Overview, and Mapping that is constructed of 3300 photographs. The purpose of this project is disclosing actual information about People and Scenery in Tuvalu to the world. It is said that global warming is exposing Tuvalu to the sea level rising. However, we suppose that it is important to understand not only the problem of global warming, but also the real situation of Tuvalu. The Internet is an effective tool for collecting information, but before it was difficult to obtain information of the real situation of Tuvalu on the Internet. Therefore, we produced this project to present the realities of People and Scenery of Tuvalu, to increase interest in Tuvalu, and to receive feedback from all over the world.

2007 Human skill elucidation based on gaze analysis for dynamic manipulation
abstract
To realize new kinds of human-machine system proposed as Human Adaptive Mechatronics(HAM), experimental analyses to elucidate human’s skill is reported in this paper. For skilled operation, we has been thinking that an adequate self-switching of reference targets on the manipulation is important. To prove this idea, we designed a special task by using virtual computer graphics of a hovercraft, measured gaze behavior of the operators, and analyzed their skill that seems to be related with the switching references. From the analyses of behavior of the skilled operator, it was confirmed that early switching of sub-controllers / reference signals plays a significant role in skill.
