| 2026 | Identification and characterization of lncRNA-stemness-immune regulatory patternsabstractLong noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play critical roles in regulating stemness signature genes (SSGs) and tumor immunity, thereby shaping the tumor microenvironment and antitumor immune responses. Increasing evidence suggests that cancer stem cell traits are closely associated with immune evasion and therapeutic resistance, underscoring the need to systematically characterize the pan-cancer interplay among SSGs, lncRNAs, and tumor immunity. Here, we developed an integrative analytical framework that combines network-based modeling with Bayesian network inference to identify core regulatory triplets (STEM-LncCRTs), each consisting of an lncRNA, an SSG, and an immune gene. We demonstrate that specific stemness-related lncRNAs can distinguish cancer subtypes, and that common stemness-related lncRNAs correlate significantly with immune cell infiltration. Notably, the ATAD5/PRR11-AS1/SKP2 triplet exhibits favorable prognostic potential across multiple cancers and consistently outperforms individual gene markers in predicting 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival. Furthermore, using four machine learning algorithms across three independent immunotherapy cohorts, we validate the predictive value of STEM-LncCRTs for immune checkpoint inhibitor response. Importantly, integrating STEM-LncCRTs with tumor mutation burden further improves predictive accuracy. Collectively, this study provides a systems-level view of stemness-related lncRNA regulation in tumor immunity and offers practical biomarkers for predicting immunotherapy efficacy. | 2025 | UniECS: Unified Multimodal E-Commerce Search Framework with Gated Cross-modal FusionabstractThe growth of e-commerce has created substantial demand for multimodal search systems that process diverse visual and textual inputs. Current e-commerce multimodal retrieval systems face two key limitations: they optimize for specific tasks with fixed modality pairings, and lack comprehensive benchmarks for evaluating unified retrieval approaches. To address these challenges, we introduce UniECS, a unified multimodal e-commerce search framework that handles all retrieval scenarios across image, text, and their combinations. Our work makes three key contributions. First, we propose a flexible architecture with a novel gated multimodal encoder that uses adaptive fusion mechanisms. This encoder integrates different modality representations while handling missing modalities. Second, we develop a comprehensive training strategy to optimize learning. It combines cross-modal alignment loss (CMAL), cohesive local alignment loss (CLAL), intra-modal contrastive loss (IMCL), and adaptive loss weighting. Third, we create M-BEER, a carefully curated multimodal benchmark containing 50K product pairs for e-commerce search evaluation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniECS consistently outperforms existing methods across four e-commerce benchmarks with fine-tuning or zero-shot evaluation. On our M-BEER bench, UniECS achieves substantial improvements in cross-modal tasks (up to 28% gain in R@10 for text-to-image retrieval) while maintaining parameter efficiency (0.2B parameters) compared to larger models like GME-Qwen2VL (2B) and MM-Embed (8B). Furthermore, we deploy UniECS in the e-commerce search platform of Kuaishou Inc. across two search scenarios, achieving notable improvements in Click-Through Rate (+2.74%) and Revenue (+8.33%). The comprehensive evaluation demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach in both experimental and real-world settings. Corresponding codes, models and datasets will be made publicly available at https://github.com/qzp2018/UniECS. | 2024 | X-RefSeg3D: Enhancing Referring 3D Instance Segmentation via Structured Cross-Modal Graph Neural NetworksabstractReferring 3D instance segmentation is a challenging task aimed at accurately segmenting a target instance within a 3D scene based on a given referring expression. However, previous methods have overlooked the distinct roles played by different words in referring expressions. Additionally, they have failed to incorporate the positional relationship within referring expressions with the spatial correlations in 3D scenes. To alleviate these issues, we present a novel model called X-RefSeg3D, which constructs a cross-modal graph for the input 3D scene and unites textual and spatial relationships for reasoning via graph neural networks. Our approach begins by capturing object-specific text features, which are then fused with the instance features to construct a comprehensive cross-modal scene graph. Subsequently, we integrate the obtained cross-modal features into graph neural networks, leveraging the K-nearest algorithm to derive explicit instructions from expressions and factual relationships in scenes. This enables the effective capture of higher-order relationships among instances, thereby enhancing feature fusion and facilitating reasoning. Finally, the refined feature undergoes a matching module to compute the ultimate matching score. Experimental results on ScanRefer demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, surpassing previous approaches by a substantial margin of +3.67% in terms of mIOU.
