| 2026 | CoSMT-LC: Secure Collaborative Marine Traffic Management Using Lightweight CryptographyabstractDemand for IoT-based technologies for port management and vessel tracking has grown due to the swift digitalisation of maritime operations. However, numerous of the existing marine security frameworks in use today are still ineffective as they require a lot of computing and storage power and lack the ability to safeguard against threats including replay, impersonation, key compromise, and insider attacks. To overcome these limitations, CoSMT-LC enables secure, economical, and biometric-assisted mutual authentication through the integration of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), fuzzy extractors, and hash-based authentication. The robustness of the proposed protocol is verified through the Real-Or-Random (ROR) model and the Scyther verification tool. Implementation results using the MIRACL SDK show that CoSMT-LC reduces computational cost by 42.6% and communication overhead by 38.4% compared with leading protocols, providing a secure and scalable foundation for future maritime traffic management systems. | 2022 | Securing Cloud Virtual Machine Image Using Ethereum BlockchainabstractVirtual Machine Image (VMI) is the building block of cloud infrastructure. It encapsulates the various applications and data deployed at the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) end. With the leading advances of cloud computing, comes the added concern of its security. Securing the Cloud infrastructure as a whole is based on the security of the underlying Virtual Machine Images (VMI). In this paper an attempt has been made to highlight the various risks faced by the CSP and Cloud Service Consumer (CSC) in the context of VMI related operations. Later, in this article a formal model of the cloud infrastructure has been proposed. Finally, the Ethereum blockchain has been incorporated to secure, track and manage all the vital operations of the VMIs. The immutable and decentralized nature of blockchain not only makes the proposed scheme more reliable but guarantees auditability of the system by maintaining the entire VMI history in the blockchain. | 2013 | Differential Fault Analysis of MICKEY-128 2.0abstractThis paper presents a differential fault analysis of the MICKEY-128 2.0 stream cipher, one of the finalist of eStream project. The current attack works on MICKEY-128 2.0 with 320 state register-bits and requires 480 number of random single bit faults to break it. Till date, only two fault attacks against MICKEY family are available in literature, one attack on MICKEY-128 and another on MICKEY 2.0. The attack on MICKEY-128 with same 320 register bits required 640 number of faults whereas the other attack on MICKEY 2.0 with 200 state register bits required $2^{16.7} number of faults. To the best of our knowledge the current attack gives the best performance with respect to the number of faults to be induced against the highest version of MICKEY, MICKEY-128 2.0.
