2025 Memories of the Future: Systems, Human, and Cybernetic Aspects of the Emerging Post-AI World
abstract
While current machine-learning-based AI techniques have been spectacularly successful, their present applications still leave many important open questions – for example, how to make their results more reliable or, at least, how to gauge how reliable is each AI recommendation. In this paper, we argue that to fully answer these questions, we need to go beyond the current AI techniques, and that in this development, systems-, human-, and cybernetics-based ideas not only naturally appear, they seem to provide a way to the desired answers.

2022 Smart services ecosystem concept for cooperative ITS
abstract
Current intelligent transport systems (ITS) and trends in their development are weekly consider all involved elements and do not cover the topic of cooperative work of services. In this paper the concept of the cooperative ITS as a digital ecosystem (DE) of services, sensors, hardware devices and users is presented.

2014 Telematic approach into program of smart cities
abstract
The paper presents a concept of "smart cities" program from the telematics point of view. First of all, main services of "smart cities" are analyzed and the architecture of proposed telematics system for "smart cities" is introduced. Based on this architecture, strong processes are defined on the selected resolution level. Taking into account this knowledge the methodology of "smart cities" design is presented. It directly yields into new approach to "smart networks" concept.

2012 Service quality management for the ITS mobile wireless multipath telecommunications subsystems
abstract
Quality of telecommunication service and wide area coverage guaranteed in defined tolerance range represent typical requirements of the ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) applications. Extensive range of wireless data services with reasonable coverage is available from public wireless services providers, however, mostly no relevant range of availability, quality and security is guaranteed. ITS services require cost-effectively solution and it can be resolved by combination of the "core" public solution with the other public as well as private services where and when it is needed. Such approach requires implementation of the relevant flexible system architecture supported by the efficient decision processes. ITS specific service security requirements would not underestimated, as well. Special situation is identified in case of the C2I (Car to Infrastructure) and C2C (Car to Car) communication namely if the vehicle on board unit is interconnected with the vehicle CAN (Controlled Area Network) based network. Such configurations significantly increase potential of dangerous intruders' attacks. Probability of the critical hazards appearances significantly grows if the ITS data are transferred via publically reachable wide area networks. That is also the main reason why relevant telecommunications security support is understood as one of the crucial part of the ITS telecommunications solution.

2012 Wave Probabilistic Functions for Quantum Cybernetics
abstract
This paper presents the theory of wave probabilistic models, which in turn represents the basic principles of quantum cybernetics. The features of the theory presented here are mathematically formulated, and selected illustrative examples demonstrate possible applications of the theory. The proposed methodology represents an original approach that emerges from defined assumptions like single-valuedness, the resonance principle, etc. From these simple assumptions, a set of principles of quantum cybernetics can be derived, e.g., quantization, spin, and entanglement.

2011 Applying Wave Probabilistic Functions for Dynamic System Modeling
abstract
The goal of this paper is to provide an introduction to the application of wave probabilistic functions in the area of dynamic system models. This paper presents dynamic features of wave probabilistic models that are basic principles of quantum cybernetics. These features are mathematically described, and the illustrative examples demonstrate possible applications of the theory.

2008 Decision processes in multi-path telematic communications systems
abstract
Seamless secure communications multi-technology access to widely spread network (WAN) serving extensive cluster of moving objects requires implementation of relevant decision processes. These processes must be based on precisely quantified system requirements, i.e. set of performance indicator tolerance range identified for keeping service running on appropriate quality level with minimal influence of continuously changing conditions in time and served space. Method of different paths service quality evaluation and selection of the best possible active communications access path is introduced Presented method is applicable even with limited resources of relevant internal data from lower layers of applied communication system. Proposed approach is based on Kalman filtering, which separates reasonable part of noise and also allows prediction of the individual parameters near future behavior. Presented self-trained classification algorithm uses filtered measured data combined with deterministic parameters. Training process applies combination of parameters vectors line and relevant historical decisions.

2007 Communication solution for GPS based airport service vehicles navigation
abstract
Communications solution represents one of the key parts of the Intelligent Transport system (ITS). Methodology of the communication system identification and configuration was studied within projects CaMNA1 and SRAUTVU2. Goal of project CaMNA is to improve airport over-ground traffic efficiency and security for all moving aircrafts as well as service vehicles. Requirements on the communications environment are quantified indirectly by telematic sub-system performance indicators, which are usually applied in the ITS area. Right selection and configuration of the appropriate communication solution are achievable, if "transformation matrix" between vectors of communications and telematic performance indicators is correctly identified. Basic principles of method are introduced. Application of the proposed methodology is demonstrated on the CaMNA communications system identification and its parameters settings. CaMNA vehicle unit is designed for special navigation services operated in specific lively airport area conditions. Positional data are obtained from all service vehicles equipped with GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) as well as from non-GNSS A-SMGCS (Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System). These data are centrally processed and together with dispatcher's decisions are delivered to every active service vehicle. Results of the communication solution parameters tests processed within CaMNA pilot installation and relevant recommendations are presented as the last part of this paper.

2006 Improvement of Bus and Truck Driving Safety
abstract
Decreases of driver attention causes daily serious road accidents. This concerns not only the drivers of passenger cars, but especially the drivers of trucks and busses. Some nonstandard approaches to the problem how to improve the reliability and safety of the driver - vehicle interactions are discussed in this paper. Some exemplary results from experiments done on driving simulators are shown. Some novel methods and tools, based on the combined application of telematics, informatics, neurology and transportation sciences are proposed.
