2016 Analysis of inverter effects on machine iron losses in a traction drive
abstract
This paper presents an analysis of iron losses for an inverter-fed permanent synchronous electric machine. The iron loss computation is based on the coupling between an analytical inverter model and a 2D finite element simulation. For theoretical explanation of the considered effects the magneto motive force of the machine with non-sinusoidal supply is derived. These impacts are analyzed in detail for one operating point, while using two different iron loss models. It is shown that the iron losses are much higher with inverter supply caused by high harmonic flux content in the rotor finite elements. At the end the iron losses for the whole operating range are computed to verify the single point calculation.

2009 Automation of Automation - Definition, Components and Challenges
abstract
The increasing number and range of automation functions along with the decrease of qualified personal makes an upgraded engineering process necessary. This article gives a general overview of one approach, called the automation of automation, i.e. the automated execution of human tasks related to the engineering process of automation systems. Starting with a definition and a model describing the typical engineering process, some solutions for the needed framework are presented. Occurring problems within parts of this process model are discussed and possible solutions are presented.

2003 Findings from a Practical Project Concerning Web Usage Mining
abstract
In a practical project a statistical analysis of the Web log files of the domain www.volkswagen.de was carried out by using the CRISP-DM procedure. For the preprocessing phase, more profound findings could be gained than are usually described in many studies. Since the aim was to deduce significant statements while measuring the effect, tests of significance for e-metrics were used in addition to the commonly described procedure.
