2025 Breaking the Synthetic Barrier: Towards Stable and Generalizable Real-World Image Dehazing
abstract
Existing learning-based dehazing methods perform well on synthetic data but struggle in real scenarios due to the domain gap, causing residual haze and detail loss. To address this, we propose a Multilevel Subspace Distribution Adapter (MSDA) to progressively reduce the feature distribution gap through hierarchical subspace modeling. We also introduce a Dual-Domain Synchronous Optimization (DDSO) strategy that jointly leverages synthetic supervision and adaptation to the real domain in a unified training scheme. Extensive experiments underscore the superiority of our approach and its excellence on no-reference image quality metrics.

2025 Cross-Frequency Attention and Color Contrast Constraint for Remote Sensing Dehazing
abstract
Current deep learning-based methods for remote sensing image dehazing have developed rapidly, yet they still commonly struggle to simultaneously preserve fine texture details and restore accurate colors. The fundamental reason lies in the insufficient modeling of high-frequency information that captures structural details, as well as the lack of effective constraints for color restoration. To address the insufficient modeling of global high-frequency information, we first develop an omni-directional high-frequency feature in painting mechanism that leverages the wavelet transform to extract multi-directional high-frequency components. While maintaining the advantage of linear complexity, it models global long-range texture dependencies through cross-frequency perception. Then, to further strengthen local high-frequency representation, we design a high-frequency prompt attention module that dynamically injects wavelet-domain optimized high-frequency features as cross-level guidance signals, significantly enhancing the model's capability in edge sharpness restoration and texture detail reconstruction. Further, to alleviate the problem of inaccurate color restoration, we propose a color contrast loss function based on the HSV color space, which explicitly models the statistical distribution differences of brightness and saturation in hazy regions, guiding the model to generate dehazed images with consistent colors and natural visual appearance. Finally, extensive experiments on multiple benchmark datasets demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing approaches in both texture detail restoration and color consistency. 2024 Fraud Feature Boosting Mechanism and Spiral Oversampling Balancing Technique for Credit Card Fraud Detection
abstract
With the flourishing of the credit card business and Internet technology, the risk of fraudulent credit card transactions is ever-increasing due to the complex information involved in the credit card business. Since the high redundancy of feature information and imbalance of class distribution in transaction data, the performance of the existing machine learning-based models for detecting credit card fraudulent transactions still needs to be improved. Therefore, it is crucial to build fraud detection models for effective feature engineering and sampling techniques. This article proposes a credit card fraud detection model incorporating a fraud feature-boosting mechanism with a spiral oversampling balancing technique (SOBT). Specifically, we present a compound grouping elimination strategy to exclude highly redundant and correlated features from the credit card transaction dataset and improve the data quality. Furthermore, we design a multifactor synchronous embedding mechanism, which combines the performance evaluation metrics of the embedding model for each feature and improves the decision-making ability of each feature for the target domain. Moreover, we propose an SOBT to balance the ratio of legitimate to fraudulent transactions, which improves the ability of the fraud detection model to distinguish legitimate from fraudulent transactions. Extensive experimental results based on two real-world datasets demonstrate that our methods can facilitate efficient credit card fraud detection and achieve better performance than state-of-the-art methods.

2022 Using a social robot for children with autism: A therapist-robot interactive model
abstract
Abstract Social robots have great potential for the therapy of children with autism spectrum disorder, but the practical use of them is challenging. In this article, we presented a social robot YANG, which can interact with children with autism in their daily training. We propose a therapist‐robot interactive (TRI) model, which integrates with the practice of discrete trial training (DTT), a basic method utilized in autism training. To evaluate the TRI model, we implemented the model in YANG and conducted a single‐subject experiment in a rehabilitation training center. Data were collected on three children (ages 3–4) and their three therapists as they interacted with YANG in training sessions. Results showed that the children's learning ability significantly improved. YANG formed natural and friendly relationships with the children and delivered substantial support to therapists. Our research brings insight into using social robots for children with autism.
