2019 Calibration, Level 1 Processing, and Radiometric Validation for TANSO-FTS TIR on GOSAT
abstract
The Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) carries the Thermal and Near-Infrared Sensor for carbon Observations Fourier Transform Spectrometer (TANSO-FTS). TANSO-FTS covers a wide spectral range from the shortwave infrared to the thermal infrared (TIR). This paper describes the updated calibration algorithm of the TANSO-FTS Level 1B TIR spectra and the radiometric validation of the new V210.210 products by comparison with the previous version of V201.202. The revised nonlinearity correction for V210.210 product creates a decade-long, well-calibrated radiance set while minimizing the effect of two major anomalies: rotation stop of the one of the solar paddles in 2014 and a cryocooler shutdown in 2015, which caused abrupt changes in the thermal environment of the TANSO-FTS sensor. To check the improved nonlinearity correction and onboard calibration in TANSO-FTS V210.210 processing, we validated the entire spectral range by comparing with aircraft-based Scanning High-resolution Interferometer Sounder coincident in time with the GOSAT overpass. Also selected CO2and CH4channels are validated with the Atmospheric infrared sounder and the window channel with the in situ SST Quality Monitor data at temporally coincident and spatially collocated points. We have confirmed that the new V210.210 products exhibit no significant time trend in the window channel and a reduced spectral bias in the CO2and CH4channels. There remains some spectral bias, especially in the CO2ν2channel and CH4channel, which are attributed to the uncertainty of orbital and seasonal variations in the average direct current level of TANSO-FTS without photon input.

2018 Pre-Launch Characterisation and In-Orbit Calibration of GCOM-C/SGLI
abstract
Global Change Observation Mission (GCOM) consists of two series of satellites, GCOM-W (Water) and GCOM-C (Climate) for long-term monitoring of earth environment. Second-generation Global Imager (SGLI), the onboard mission instrument of GCOM-C, is the wide FOV multispectral optical radiometer in the wavelength range of near-UV to thermal infrared. SGLI will provide high accuracy measurements of Ocean, Atmosphere, Land and Cryosphere. JAXA successfully launched the GCOM-C satellite on December 23, 2017, and JAXA is carrying out the in-orbit checkout and initial calibration activities. This paper describes pre-launch characterization summary of the SGLI and in-orbit calibration plan. Especially we focus on the pre-launch and in-orbit radiometric performance.

2008 A context analysis method for constructing reliable embedded systems
abstract
This paper proposes a context-dependent requirements analysis method called CAMEmb (Context Analysis Method for Embedded systems) consisting of UML-based context modeling and formal verification support. In CAMEmb, a context model is constructed from initial system requirements by using a UML Profile for Context Analysis. This context model clarifies the relations among hardware components and contexts. After that, the context model is verified in order to check whether a target system behaves correctly under the expected contexts.

2008 AspectM: UML-Based Extensible AOM Language
abstract
AspectM, a UML-based aspect-oriented modeling (AOM) language, provides not only basic modeling constructs but also an extension mechanism called metamodel access protocol (MMAP) that allows a modeler to extend the AspectM metamodel. MMAP enables a modeler to construct domain-specific AOM languages at relatively low cost. In this paper, we show the overview of an AspectM support tool consisting of a reflective model editor and a verifying model weaver.
