Comparative analysis of epidemic public opinion and policies in two regions of China based on big dataabstractSince the outbreak of COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019), the Chinese government has taken strict measures to prevent and control the epidemic. Although the spread of the virus has been controlled, people’s daily life and work have been affected and restricted to varying degrees. Thus people have different sentiments, these may affect people’s implementation and compliance with the policies, thus affecting the effectiveness of epidemic prevention and control. At present, few pieces of literature have analyzed the relationships between people’s feelings, policies, and epidemic trends. The object of this paper is to analyze the text content on social media, to find out the impact of the epidemic blockade policy on the public mood and the concerns expressed by the public about policies changes, and the interaction between policies and epidemic states at different stages of the epidemic. In this paper, we collected the posts of two cities where the epidemic occurred at the same time for analysis and comparative study. On the one hand, we revealed the changes in public attention and attitudes in the two regions during the epidemic, the other hand, it also reflects the differences in public sentiment between the two regions, as well as the correlation between emotions and policies and epidemic trends when different policies are adopted under different circumstances. The obtained results have a certain guiding significance for public health departments to formulate reasonable epidemic prevention policies. Dong Qiu

Sentiment Analysis Method of Epidemic-related Microblog Based on Hesitation TheoryabstractThe COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought an unprecedented global crisis. After two years of control efforts, life gradually returned to the pre-pandemic state, but localized outbreaks continued to occur. Toward the end of 2022, COVID-19 resurged in China, leading to another disruption of people’s lives and work. Many pieces of information on social media reflected people’s views and emotions toward the second outbreak, which showed distinct differences compared to the first outbreak in 2020. To explore people’s emotional attitudes toward the pandemic at different stages and the underlying reasons, this study collected microblog data from November 2022 to January 2023 and from January to June 2020, encompassing Chinese reactions to the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on hesitancy and the Fuzzy Intuition theory, we proposed a hypothesis: hesitancy can be integrated into machine learning models to select suitable corpora for training, which not only improves accuracy but also enhances model efficiency. Based on this hypothesis, we designed a hesitancy-integrated model. The experimental results demonstrated the model’s positive performance on a self-constructed database. By applying this model to analyze people’s attitudes toward the pandemic, we obtained their sentiments in different months. We found that the most negative emotions appeared at the beginning of the pandemic, followed by emotional fluctuations influenced by social events, ultimately showing an overall positive trend. Combining word cloud techniques and the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) model effectively helped explore the reasons behind the changes in pandemic attitude. Dong Qiu, Huanyu Wan

Software Architecture Recovery with Information FusionabstractUnderstanding the architecture is vital for effectively maintaining and managing large software systems. However, as software systems evolve over time, their architectures inevitably change. To keep up with the change, architects need to track the implementation-level changes and update the architectural documentation accordingly, which is time-consuming and error-prone. Therefore, many automatic architecture recovery techniques have been proposed to ease this process. Despite efforts have been made to improve the accuracy of architecture recovery, existing solutions still suffer from two limitations. First, most of them only use one or two type of information for the recovery, ignoring the potential usefulness of other sources. Second, they tend to use the information in a coarse-grained manner, overlooking important details within it. Zhengzi Xu, Hongxu Chen 0001, Dong Qiu, Yang Liu 0003

On Ranking of Continuous Z-Numbers with Generalized Centroids and Optimization Problems Based on Z-NumbersabstractIn this paper, we introduce the addition and g-difference of continuous Z-numbers at first. Then, we define a new partial order to rank the Z-numbers with generalized centroids. The g-derivative of Z-number function based on g-difference is proposed. It is well known that convexity plays a vital role in optimization problems; consequently, we present the convexity of Z-number function. Furthermore, we provide the optimality conditions for optimization problems based on Z-numbers. Finally, the validity of the discussion is illustrated by an example. | 2013 | Experimental design verification of a compliant shoulder exoskeletonabstractMany existing exoskeletons have followed a similar design approach: a rigid kinematic chain is actuated to mobilize a human wearer. However, in a clinical setting for rehabilitation where one exoskeleton is shared by multiple patients, it will be difficult to guarantee on-site adjustments can make the rigid exoskeleton fit each patient kinematically perfectly. This paper proposed an alternative exoskeleton design that uses compliant continuum mechanisms. Its intrinsic flexibility adapts to different human anatomy automatically. Design concepts and component descriptions were elaborated for this shoulder exoskeleton, including kinematics, construction, actuation, transmission schemes, etc. A series of experiments were conducted to characterize shapes of the flexible members within the continuum structure as well as demonstrate the effectiveness of using such an exoskeleton to assist different patients with their limb motions. | 2013 | An empirical analysis of the co-evolution of schema and code in database applicationsabstractModern database applications are among the most widely used and complex software systems. They constantly evolve, responding to changes to data, database schemas, and code. It is challenging to manage these changes and ensure that everything co-evolves consistently. For example, when a database schema is modified, all the code that interacts with the database must be changed accordingly. Although database evolution and software evolution have been extensively studied in isolation, the co-evolution of schema and code has largely been unexplored. Dong Qiu, Bixin Li, Zhendong Su 0001

Verifying the Concurrent Properties in BPEL Based Web Service Composition ProcessabstractThe relatively new web service software paradigm involves services which are loosely coupled, highly reusable and flexible. By specifying the workflow of individual services, Web service composition enhances the ability to handle more complex business processes and provides many value-added services. In this article, we propose an extended control flow graph (XCFG) to formally model the workflow of Web service composition specified in BPEL, and corresponding techniques to verify concurrent properties, such as deadlock-free, non-conflict, and link non-redundant. XCFG can model not only the workflow of BPEL but also the synchronization control dependencies among concurrent activities. Meanwhile, each element of XCFG keeps record of related information of corresponding activity in BPEL so as to support further analysis and verification. Experimental study validates the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed XCFG-based technique. Bixin Li, Shunhui Ji, Dong Qiu, Hareton K. N. Leung, Gongyuan Zhang

A low-power triple-mode sigma-delta DAC for reconfigurable (WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/GSM) transmittersabstractThis paper presents a ΣΔ DAC with channel filtering for multi-standard wireless transmitters. It can be digitally programmed to satisfy specifications of WCDMA, TD-SCDMA and GSM standards. The measured SFDR are 62.8/60.1/75.5 dB for WCDMA/ TD-SCDMA/ GSM mode, respectively. The ΣΔ DAC manufactured in SMIC 0.13-μm CMOS process occupies a 0.72 mm2die area, while drawing 5.52/4.82/3.04 mW in WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/GSM mode from a single 1.2-V supply voltage. | 2010 | Automatic test case selection and generation for regression testing of composite service based on extensible BPEL flow graphabstractServices are highly reusable, flexible and loosely coupled, which makes the evolution and the maintenance of composite services more complex. Evolution of BPEL composite service covers changes of processes, bindings and interfaces. In this paper, an approach is proposed to select and generate test cases during the evolution of BPEL composite service. The approach identifies the changes by using control-flow analysis technique and comparing the paths in new composite service version and the old one using extensible BPEL flow graph (or XBFG). Message flow is appended to the control flow so that XBFG can describe the behavior of composite service integrally. The binding and predicate constraint information added in XBFG elements can be used in path selection and test case generation. Theory analysis and case study both show that the approach is effective, and test cases coverage rate is high for the changes of processes, bindings and interfaces. Bixin Li, Dong Qiu, Shunhui Ji

| 2010 | Generating Test Cases of Composite Services Based on OWL-S and eh-CPNabstractIn web service times, the techniques for composing services are based on service reuse and automatic integration. A new web service will be generated by composing some existing web services. These web services cooperate with each other to provide a new more complex function. It is necessary and very important to test the interaction behavior between any two web services during composition. In this paper, a kind of enhanced hierarchical color petri-net (or EH-CPN) is introduced to generate test cases for testing the interaction, where EH-CPN is transformed from OWL-S document, and both control flow and data flow information in EH-CPN are analyzed and used to generate an executable test sequence, and further test cases are created by combining the test sequence and test data in an XML file.
