Expertise — from the expertise taxonomy: the topics of the expert's papers under the CCF categories. A weight counts papers with recency: 1 for a paper about the topic, 0.3 when the topic is its context, halved every five years.

| 1971 | Solving Boundary-Value Problems by ImbeddingabstractNumerical solutions of boundary-value problems are rather cumbersome. On the other hand, computers are very suitable for solving initial-value problems. We show here how boundary-value problems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations can be reformulated as a rather complicated initial-value problem, whose solution however is more adaptable to numerical computations.Several examples are then solved. The advantage and drawbacks of the method are briefly discussed.
