2022 Cell-Based Synthesis of Multiple Analog Filter and Oscillator Topologies Employing Graph
abstract
A new synthesis methodology, which offers design harmony of multiple analog filter and oscillator topologies is presented. Vertices of a bipartite graph are defined with simple mathematical function, denoted as cell. Weight of the edges are denoted by relation operator. A general theory has been developed based on graph and a set of traversal rules conjugated with cell, to produce multiple number of second-order function (SOF) in terms of cells. Theoretical approach has been facilitated with operational transconductance amplifier (OTA)-based circuit realization of multiple filter and oscillator topologies, and abridged with algorithm, which may lead to virtual EDA tool and field programmable analog array (FPAA). The proposed synthesis approach is validated with SPICE simulation.

2017 Synthesis Procedure of Configurable Building Block-Based Linear and Nonlinear Analog Circuits
abstract
Synthesis and design methodology suitable for computer-aided design tools are now emerging as major challenge for analog system designers. This paper proposes a systematic synthesis procedure which provides reusability and programmability, for linear and nonlinear analog circuits using configurable building block (CBB) and analog cell (AC). Operational transconductance amplifier-based ACs are synthesized in terms of CBBs. Reusability and programmability of the synthesis methodology have been demonstrated by realizing different types of linear and nonlinear circuits and mapping those circuits in field programmable analog array. Finally, the proposed methodology has been integrated as an electronic design automation tool AnaSyn1.0. Performance of all the proposed circuits has been verified by SPICE simulation.

2016 OTA-Based Logarithmic Circuit for Arbitrary Input Signal and Its Application
abstract
In this paper, a new design procedure has been proposed for realization of logarithmic function via three phases: 1) differentiation; 2) division; and 3) integration for any arbitrary analog signal. All the basic building blocks, i.e., differentiator, divider, and integrator, are realized by operational transconductance amplifier, a current mode device. Realization of exponential, power law, and hyperbolic function as the design examples claims that the proposed synthesis procedure has the potential to design a log-based nonlinear system in a systematic and hierarchical manner. The performance of all the proposed circuits has been verified with SPICE simulation.

2002 Efficient synthesis of OTA network for linear analog functions
abstract
This paper reports a general methodology and a computer-aided design (CAD) tool (BECAS 1.0) for synthesis of linear analog functions with a network of operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs). Efficient analog circuits have been synthesized with the CAD tool and reported along with the simulation results. SPICE simulated results of the synthesized circuit match closely with those derived theoretically from the input transfer function. A first-order low-pass filter employing a minimum number of OTAs is used in the design as the basic building block. The number of OTAs employed to realize an analog function can be minimized in the optimization phase of the synthesis algorithm.
