2018 Hypervisor-Based Sensitive Data Leakage Detector
abstract
Sensitive Data Leakage (SDL) is a major issue faced by organizations due to increasing reliance on data-driven decision-making. Existing Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) solutions are being challenged by the adoption of network transport encryption and the presence of privileged-mode malware designed to tamper with the DLP agent programs. We propose a novel DLP system called "HyperSweep" that uses Virtual Machine Memory Introspection (VMI) technology to inspect the memory content of a guest system for sensitive information. The approach is robust against both network transport encryption and malware that attack DLP agent programs. The HyperSweep prototype is implemented on top of the KVM hypervisor. Our experiments have confirmed its applicability to real-world applications, including web browsers, office applications, and social networking applications. The experiments also indicate moderate performance overhead from applying HyperSweep.

2013 Repairing the sheltered human skeleton based on natural interaction
abstract
Posture is an action expression of the specific requirements of the limbs and body interaction or human behavior. But human movement often has a self-occlusions or sheltered phenomenon, such as the hands swing and foot alternating when a man walking. For body occlusion problem, based on human perception, humans have the repairing ability to automatically represent body appearance and predict action mode. So far, there is not a powerful technology to solve this problem, but it is very important and valuable scheme especially environment security surveillance or patient attention. Hence, in this paper, an efficient approach for repairing the lost body information is proposed. The processing steps of this approach consist of two phases: training and testing. The training phase is to capture human skeleton information via shooting the depth image based on natural interaction mechanism and to construct the skeleton database. After training, the correction parameters and scene setting can be obtained to use in testing phase. The testing phase is to reconstruct the lost skeleton of human under shelter and to evaluate the system performance. Experimental results show that the rebuilt human skeleton is very close to the real skeleton like unsheltered situation.

2012 Anchored desynchronization
abstract
Distributed algorithms based on pulse-coupled oscillators have been recently proposed in [4], [14] for achieving desynchronization of a system of identical nodes. Though these algorithms are shown to work properly by various computer simulations, they are still lack of rigorous theoretical proofs for both the convergence of the algorithms and the rates of convergence for these algorithms. On the other hand, all the nodes are not likely to be identical in many practical applications. In particular, there might be a node that needs to interact with the “outside” world and thus may not have the freedom to adjust its local clock. Motivated by all these, in this paper we consider the desynchronization problem in a system where there exists an anchored node that never adjusts the phase of its oscillator. For such a system, we propose a generic anchored desynchronization algorithm that achieves ∈-desynchrony (defined in [4]) in O(n2ln(n over ∈)) rounds of firings. We also prove that our algorithm converges even for the generalized processor sharing (GPS) scheme, where every node is assigned a weight and the amount of resource received by a node is proportional to its weight. In comparison with the original algorithm in [4], we show that the rate of convergence of the original algorithm in [4] is not always better than ours and it is only better in the asymptotic regime.

2010 Cooperative MMSE OFDM receiver for half-duplex and multiple-relays system
abstract
Recently, cooperative communication has drawn much attention because it can provide extra cooperative diversity gain to improve network quality. In this paper, we investigate the design of orthogonal-frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) receiver for the multiple-relays system under the frequency-selective channels and derive the receiver solution in the minimum-mean-squared error (MMSE) sense. The communication network adopts half-duplex amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol. In this first phase, the source simultaneously sends OFDM signal to the destination and relays. In the second phase, the relays amplify the signals in accordance with the AF protocol and then send the signals to the destination. Finally, the two signals received at destination are combined with the MMSE filter coefficients. Extension to two antennas is also presented. Simulation results indicate cooperative communication OFDM receiver can benefit from cooperative diversity gain.
