2024 Organizing International Intensive Project with Hybrid Elements
abstract
The eCoal, GGULIVRR@Lodz, and Citizen Games are examples of the international, intensive, and multidisciplinary projects in multimedia and games led by French and Polish Universities. Apart from supporting technical skills in mobile and web development, the aim is to enhance soft skills: teamwork, presentation skills, critical thinking, and cooperation with the investors. The project helps also to create a European spirit among young people. Altogether, 43 students and 10 technical experts and mentors from 4 different countries took part in each edition with real-time and blended learning elements.

2024 From Realtime to Online Erasmus+ Mobility and Back Again
abstract
Our motivation is to present how to transfer from real environment mobility designed for many Erasmus+ projects into online events and come back to a real-time event once again. The second point is how to strengthen the real-time approach with the experience derived from the online event. Nowadays, it is crucial for many projects with the mobility of students and mentors planned as a milestone. Avoiding travel restrictions, social distance limitations and universities closed to real-time classes we show how to achieve mobility goals by transferring and organizing international and intensive mobility as an online event.

2023 Towards Gaze-Led Audio Description in Accessibility System for Architectural Heritage: Evidence from an Eye-Tracking Study
abstract
The paper presents empirical evidence in how differently art history experts and non-experts scan images of architectural objects. The study is a work-in-progress on a ubiquitous system enhancing accessibility to architectural heritage for a broad audience with a special focus on the Blind and Visually Impaired (BVI). The system provides city navigation for BVI along with the location-based real-time information and Gaze-Led Audio Descriptions (GLAD) about architectural artefacts. Gaze visualizations of non-experts are used to guide professional audio describers in shaping more natural, gaze-led narratives.

2023 Audio Description Project to Support Visually Impaired to Perceive Architectural Heritage as Case Study for Students
abstract
Providing Computer Science (CS) students with a proper case study for Mobile App Programming and IT Project Management courses is challenging, especially when it should be focussed on the vital issues and differ every year. The authors as the research and didactic staff are involved in the multidisciplinary R&D project called Friendly City, which aims to promote the accessibility of architectural heritage to the blind and visually impaired (BVI) community by adding Audio Descriptions (AD) to 85 public places in Lodz (Poland). That is why the IT targets of the project were chosen as a case study in the mentioned courses. CS students as well as History of Art and Psychology ones with BVI or sighted beneficiaries play a crucial role during both courses. They will be working with the Lodz BVI Association to prepare their final project solution.

2023 A Unified Look at Cultural Heritage: Comparison of Aggregated Scanpaths over Architectural Artifacts
abstract
The paper contributes to scanpath bundling methods. We propose an analytical approach for statistical comparisons of aggregated scanpath visualizations by means of second-order gaze analysis metrics. The present study explores differences in attention distribution and cognitive processing over architectural objects between architects, art historians, and non-experts. The results show between-group differences in attention dynamics of the aggregated scanpaths. The aggregated scanpaths of both expert groups were focal, while non-experts' scanpaths were ambient. Experts also paid more attention to and tended to remember better the architectural details and their location. The discussion explores the scalability of the proposed approach for Human-Computer Interaction and accessibility technologies designed to enhance the experience of cultural heritage.

2022 From the Game Ideas Prototypes to their Final Versions using International Intensive Project Results
abstract
Teaching Computer Science (CS) students game development and cooperation with the clients is challenging. It demands to use the project ideas that are quite novel and can be used e.g. for the local society. It is also connected with using other subjects but it should stress soft-skills development, teamwork, and cooperation with the product owner. In the paper, we show the results of implementing in three courses that lasted altogether one year in a group of 18 CS students from mobile applications specialization. The students worked on four projects predefined during the online GGULIVRR event in 2020. After one year, they prepared in an Agile/ incremental way the projects that will be used by the city of Lodz (Poland) or in the company, etc.

2021 Going Online with International and Intensive Project
abstract
Any online collaboration, workshops, as well as other e-activities, has become crucial in the present days but it is a great opportunity for computer science students and non-CS ones to master their soft skills. The motivation of the paper is to provide a recipe to switch from the 100% in-person, international and intensive mobility event into an online one by presenting a scaffold of the online event. A solution to the problem is crucial for the universities and academies etc. with CS students that have planned mobility in Erasmus+ projects.

2021 Soft Skills Development in Computer Science Students via Multinational and Multidisciplinary GameDev Project
abstract
The development of communication and other soft-skills among computer science students is not an easy task. Most curricula focus on technical skills. Team project methodologies are often used as a way to improve students? communication skills. However, the student teams are usually only comprised of computer science students. This paper is an experience report of the didactical methodology used in a project called [email protected], which has run annually since 2014. The project is short, intensive and team-based, with an important requirement that each student team is multinational and multidisciplinary. In the project, university lecturers act as mentors who help the student teams organize their work and tracks if a team?s planned didactical results are being achieved. The [email protected] project stimulates an increase of soft-skills among IT and other students who participate in the project. The detailed description of our process will allow others to recreate the project or build similar events in colleges or even company environments.

2013 Creation of the fuzzy three-level adapting brainthinker
abstract
We have introduced the creation of the fuzzy adapting three-level advisor BrainThinker based on Ernst Muldashev's ophthalmic geometry pattern, A. Anuashvili's 2D human being typology, works of building FlirtationAdvisor and methods of its realization. The advisor can be used in the case when there is no knowledge about a model researching phenomenon. The other use of the advisor can be an automatic switching path of (e)-learning people with a different type of personality, in the near future. The authors have worked out the thinker model based on B. Gates and S. Jobs current personality analysis. The method has been worked by the authors, also.
