2017 Rapid automatic detection method for road identification on the highways
abstract
With the construction of highway in China, the transportation industry is gradually stepping into the maintenance stage. Whereas the current linear stake number method cannot accurately locate the pavement disease, the road identification theory is introduced to solve the problem of locating pavement disease and the chain scission on highway effectively. However, it has brought many difficulties to select the camera sensors with characteristics like small size, large density and wide distribution. Based on the characteristics of the RID and the highway specification, this paper proposes a rapid and accurate automatic detecting system, consisting of a high speed camera and a prime lens on the vehicle platform, which can obtain and detect the road identification even when the automatic detecting system changes lanes.

2014 Risk assessment of short-term hydropower scheduling under price uncertainty considering correlation between adjacent intervals
abstract
It is important for hydropower plants owner in the electricity market to work on the errors of forecasted prices. The paper established the profits maximization model, which treated the price as stochastic and considered correlation between adjacent intervals. We apply a risk assessment tool to research on the risk of the surplus profit. To investigate whether a generation schedule is profitable or not, we apply Monte Carlo method to simulate influence of price uncertainty on the utilities. Finally, a realistic case study was made and some relevant results were concluded.
