| 2025 | How Does Time Synchronization Affect Innovation Quality?: Based on Information and Knowledge AcquirementabstractHow location choice influences innovation in MNCs has been the subject of controversy, and the examination of geographic concentration or dispersion is particularly insufficient. The question is, how will the decentralization or centralization of MNCs affect the communication and management of information among employees. To address this deficiency, this study introduces the concept of time synchronization and attempts to examine the relationship between MNCs location choice and corporate innovation quality from a new perspective. By gathering data from the Chinese internationalized firms, we found that time synchronization between parents and subsidiaries is positively associated with the innovation quality of parent firms, and the degree of digitization strengthens this positive relationship. This study underscores the crucial role of overlapping work time for employee interactions between parents and subsidiaries to acquire information in comprehending and absorbing overseas knowledge to improve the innovation quality of parent firms. | 2024 | Global Digital Transformation and New Venture Resilience: Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Orientation and Organizational Structure From Ecosystem PerspectiveabstractIn the new situation of building an entrepreneurial ecosystem, faced with the global multi-agent competition of the system, how new ventures should integrate with the system, isomorphism, and use their own advantages to cultivate new venture resilience has become an important global issue. The purpose of this study is to explore the combined impact of digital transformation, entrepreneurial ecological orientation, and organizational structure on the resilience of new ventures. Based on qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), this study systematically explores the significant key conditions and configuration effects that affect the cultivation of new venture resilience. There are four types of configurations that help new ventures to cultivate resilience, namely: strategic change, flexible response, leadership niche and institutional logic. This study explores how these three dimensions interact to achieve high firm resilience, ultimately contributing to the research of resilience from the perspective of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. | 2023 | An Empirical Study on the Application of Blockchain Technology in E-Agriculture: An Innovative Service UIS Application SystemabstractAt present, the application of blockchain is still at the level of private chain, lacking of systematicness and comprehensiveness, neglecting the participation process of multi-agent stakeholders, and the overall application system is not clear. This paper aims at applying the blockchain technology to the field of e-agriculture, building the hierarchical theoretical framework of e-agriculture, and revealing the impact of blockchain on e-agriculture. Through dividing the hierarchy, this paper finally structures an innovative service UIS application system for e-agriculture using blockchain technology. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) the first step is to solve social problems; (2) economic tasks are influenced by social problems and focus on smart contracts; (3) sustainable improvement of environmental problems requires a balance between economic and social dimensions; (4) application system is constructed at the three levels of unity, information, and supply chain. | 2022 | Research on the Impact of Information Security Certification and Concealment on Financial Performance: Impact of ISO 27001 and Concealment on PerformanceabstractWith the rapid development of information technology, information security has been gaining attention. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has issued international standards and technical reports related to information security, which are gradually being adopted by enterprises. This study analyzes the relationship between information security certification (ISO 27001) and corporate financial performance using data from Chinese publicly listed companies. The study focusses on the impact of corporate decisions such as whether to obtain certification, how long to hold certification, and whether to publicize information regarding certification. The results show that there is a positive correlation between ISO 27001 and financial performance. Moreover, the positive impact of ISO 27001 on financial performance gradually increases with time. In addition, choosing not to publicize ISO 27001 certification can negatively affect enterprise performance. Wenqing Wu 0003, Kun Shi 0005, Chia-Huei Wu, Jiayue Liu |

| 2022 | Improving Customer Value Index and Consumption Forecasts Using a Weighted RFM Model and Machine Learning AlgorithmsabstractCollecting and mining customer consumption data are crucial to assess customer value and predict customer consumption behaviors. This paper proposes a new procedure, based on an improved Random Forest Model by: adding a new indicator, joining the RFMS-based method to a K-means algorithm with the Entropy Weight Method applied in computing the customer value index, classifying customers to different categories, and then constructing a consumption forecasting model whose RMSE is the smallest in all kinds of data mining models. The results show that identifying customers by this improved RMF model and customer value index facilitates customer profiling, and forecasting customer consumption enables the development of more precise marketing strategies. | 2021 | Revealing the Dark Side of the Internet: A Governance Framework Based on Users' Negative PsychologyabstractThe purpose of this study is to reveal the dark side the Internet and establish a hierarchical framework to provide its governance path based on users' negative psychology. However, this hierarchical framework must consider unnecessary attributes and the interrelationships between the aspects and the criteria. Hence, fuzzy set theory is used for screening out the unnecessary attributes, a decision-making and trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is proposed to manage the complex interrelationships among the aspects and attributes, and interpretive structural modeling (ISM) is used to divide the hierarchy and construct a hierarchical theoretical framework. The results show that: (1) the institutional system is the driver of Internet governance improvement (2) personal values are the last link in the governance process (3) the governance transition from institutional system to values must cross the barriers of ethics and technology. This paper proposes a more systematic and integrated hierarchical framework which provides theoretical guidance to govern the dark side of the Internet. Yang Gao 0043, Chia-Huei Wu, Datian Bi |

| 2021 | An Emoji Is Worth a Thousand Words: The Influence of Face Emojis on Consumer Perceptions of User-Generated ReviewsabstractFace emojis are regularly used in reviews on online shopping sites to add richness and/or levity to the text. However, few researchers have investigated the use of face emojis in consumer reviews. This paper examined the effects of the number of face emojis (none, one, and three) in user-generated reviews (UGRs) on trustworthiness and purchase intention. They found that the number of face emojis in UGRs has a profound impact on consumers. A greater number of face emojis correlates with a greater degree of review trustworthiness. However, the effect of emojis on purchase intention changes depending on the situation. Additionally, when there is a profile picture, consumers pay more attention to it, and the positive effect due to face emojis disappears. Moreover, the gift giver-recipient relationship moderates the effect of face emojis on user decisions. The findings of our work have theoretical and managerial implications with respect to providing a new means of understanding consumer perceptions of products, from which business can benefit by improving sales and policies. | 2018 | Using DEMATEL-Based ANP Model to Measure the Successful Factors of E-CommerceabstractFactors affecting online businesses are complicated and intertwined. To stimulate online sales, understanding of key influential factors and causal relationships among the factors is important. This paper introduces a hybrid method, called the DANP method, to expose the driving factors that most influence the online businesses. A hierarchy of fourteen criteria in six dimensions is formed to denote the influence levels and weights of factors. The causal graph shows that “Uncertainty” dimension has the highest degree of direct impact on other dimensions; thus, strong efforts should be made to eliminate the influence of this dimension throughout the online shopping process. In addition, the results also show “perceived price” to be the greatest important criterion among all; thus, it should be treated with top priority to boost the online businesses.
