The main novelty of this paper is proposing artificial intelligence (AI) to manage behavioural biases in the financial decision-making process. An empirical study by Kahneman and Tversky identifies the evidence of behavioural biases in the investment decision-making process: a reversal of an established tenet in traditional finance. Financial planners are vulnerable to behavioural biases and are therefore unable to provide optimal investment solutions for their clients. Identifying the limitations of current practice, this research attempts to address how AI can help financial planners in subduing their behavioural biases and proposes the adoption of AI in financial planning services to circumvent behavioural biases. In recent years, AI has attained significant efficacy and has proven to be efficacious through supervised and unsupervised learning. Applying these AI techniques in mitigating behavioural biases, this study confirms that the backpropagation within the neural network and deep reinforcement learning can help overcome confirmation and hindsight biases.

The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore the ongoing post-pandemic challenges in developing and managing digital agility among Sri Lankan family business owners. This study used a mono-method qualitative approach to identify the management strategies using the self-determination theory and social exchange theory to cope with digital agility among Sri Lankan family business owners. Authors interviewed 25 family business owners in Sri Lanka and assessed the findings using the NVivo software. A total of five thematic findings have been identified as challenges in developing and managing digital agility among Sri Lankan Family Business owners. According to this study, digital capability plays a significant role in supporting top management to apply ambidextrous leadership during turbulent times. Findings contributes to the family business owners in Sri Lanka to identify proper strategies in overcoming the challenges associated with developing and managing digital agility of family business firms.

The present study is a systematic literature review that identifies the context of consumer behaviour and analytics in business to forecast the future of consumer behaviour with changing business trends through TCCM (theory, context, characteristics, method) guidelines. The authors identified that prior research used theories in different disciplines to explain the phenomenon in customer behaviour and analytics literature. When considering the theory, these phenomena often can be segregated based on the industry (e.g., marketing, advertising, sales, healthcare, human resource management, tourism), focusing on status-based mechanisms (e.g., cross-gaming predictive models), inertia-based mechanisms (e.g., theory of rational expectations and adaptive learning), or relationship-based mechanisms (e.g., theory of consumer engagement behaviour).

The focus of most of the existing studies on technostress is with regard to working professionals. In spite of the explosion of digital device use in education, not many studies have identified its effects on students. This study examines the presence of technostress among management students aged 22-29 years. Using a sample of 300+ students of a management college of India, this study validates the technostress instrument. With the pandemic, education has seen a paradigm shift. Sessions including classes, interactions, discussions, team projects, assignments, examinations, have gone online and this has ushered the compulsion of spending more time with technology and digital devices (laptops, mobile phones, desktop etc). It examines the effect of technostress on academic productivity of students. The study further explores the students’ expectations from the college to control their technostress, thereby indicating the need of enhancing e-engagement through persuasive communication.

Empirical work on the environmental effects of FDI has produced a mixed bag of results, with hardly any evidence for Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries. A theoretical model is presented, postulating that whether FDI has a positive or negative effect on the environment depends on the position of the underlying country or region on the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC). The empirical results indicate that FDI leads to environmental degradation in MENA countries and that they fall on the rising sector of the EKC. The theoretical model is supported by the empirical results.
