Despite its importance, there is little research on how organizations perceive information security management. This study classified critical success factors in information security management at the organizational level. A performance model was designed to empirically test the validity of these factors. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from prominent information technology managers and specialists who worked in Saudi organizations and contributed to decision making about information security. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The selected constructs—business alignment, top management support, information security awareness, and security controls—appeared to significantly influence information security management, with the balanced scorecard shown as an effective way of measuring performance.

Managers of e-commerce platforms and online retail stores have noticed a connection between the consumer online service experience (COSE) and the inclination to engage in online impulse buying behaviour (OIBB). Previous research has shown that COSE can influence OIBB, but the specific relationships between the emotional and utilitarian dimensions require further investigation. This study aims to fill this gap by examining how attitudinal loyalty serves as a mediator between COSE and OIBB. A survey-based quantitative methodology was employed to gather data on the attitudes and behaviours of 1,504 online shoppers. The collected data were analysed using structural equation modeling, revealing a positive relationship between the examined COSE factors and OIBB, with attitudinal loyalty acting as a mediator. Although the regional biases and cross-sectional nature of the study are limitations, the results are generally applicable. However, future research utilizing a longitudinal approach and a broader geographic sample would provide valuable insights.

Every year brings numerous security breaches that lead to highly destructive ransomware attacks, data leaks, and reputational damage to governments, companies, and other organizations around the world. As a result, there is a growing need to ensure that workers comply with critical policies put in place to avoid such incidents. This study investigated how factors from social bond theory and involvement theory affected compliance with information security policies and procedures. All of the factors examined were found to have a significant influence on attitudes about compliance, and attitude had a significant impact on intention to comply. The findings of this study revealed that it is vital to raise employees' awareness about compliance with security policies by improving their information security behavior. Moreover, all the factors were found to have a significant influence on the attitude of employees towards compliance with their organizational information security policies and procedures.

A number of countries are today implementing open government data (OGD) initiatives. Yet many of these initiatives are failing to attract the levels of continuous use they need to deliver an acceptable return on investment. This raises the obvious question of why this should be the case. To answer this question, it is important to understand the factors that most strongly influence user behaviour in OGD adoption. Qualitative data were used to identify the factors that play a key role in influencing the intention to engage with ODG. A quantitative approach was then used to evaluate the extent to which these factors drive/limit behaviour. The study's findings showed that there are four factors that play a significant role in intention to use OGD. It is also believed that the findings will be useful in helping policymakers in all jurisdictions formulate and implement strategies that successfully drive up continuous OGD engagement.

This paper undertakes to explore the perceptions of academics regarding information sharing on social network sites (SNS) and related privacy issues. Specifically, the paper was designed targeting academics using SNS to disseminate information and/or for other academic purposes. The paper is based on a mixed method research, the exploratory stage consequential for the confirmatory stage of the research. The findings of the research highly the complex relationships between personal information collection and usage (PICU) factors, personal information control (PIC) factors, and awareness of the effectiveness of privacy policy (AEPP) factors. This culminates in the formulation of a research model based on the theory of reasoned action. Given that the research took place within a context where gender is significant in shaping the worldview of the individual, groups, and society, the paper also seeks to contribute to the existing gender-based narrative on information sharing and privacy issues on SNS, mainly demystifying gender-based stereotypes.

Open Government Data (OGD) initiatives can deliver many cultural and institutional benefits. This is why many governments are trying to establish an OGD ecosystem. However, although many countries have made good progress in doing so, some face significant challenges. In such cases, country-specific studies can prove valuable in understanding not only the current situation, but also in defining the obstacles to progress. As far as the authors of this paper can determine, this study is the first to examine the benefits of, and barriers to, implementation of the OGD initiative Saudi Arabia. The study conducts and analyses interviews with Saudi Arabian government officials in both leadership and technical positions, in order to obtain an informed view of the OGD initiative in Saudi. The study contributes to the existing knowledge base by identifying the main benefits of the Saudi Arabian Open Government Initiative and the barriers to its implementation.
