2026 Mem4D: Decoupling Static and Dynamic Memory for Dynamic Scene Reconstruction
abstract
Reconstructing dense geometry for dynamic scenes from a monocular video is a critical yet challenging task. Recent memory-based methods enable efficient online reconstruction, but they fundamentally suffer from a Memory Demand Dilemma: The memory representation faces an inherent conflict between the long-term stability required for static structures and the rapid, high-fidelity detail retention needed for dynamic motion. This conflict forces existing methods into a compromise, leading to either geometric drift in static structures or blurred, inaccurate reconstructions of dynamic objects. To address this dilemma, we propose Mem4D, a novel framework that decouples the modeling of static geometry and dynamic motion. Guided by this insight, we design a dual-memory architecture: 1) The Transient Dynamics Memory (TDM) focuses on capturing high-frequency motion details from recent frames, enabling accurate and fine-grained modeling of dynamic content; 2) The Persistent Structure Memory (PSM) compresses and preserves long-term spatial information, ensuring global consistency and drift-free reconstruction for static elements. By alternating queries to these specialized memories, Mem4D simultaneously maintains static geometry with global consistency and reconstructs dynamic elements with high fidelity. Experiments on challenging benchmarks demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art or competitive performance while maintaining high efficiency.

2026 MonoDream: Monocular Vision-Language Navigation with Panoramic Dreaming
abstract
Vision-Language Navigation (VLN) tasks often leverage panoramic RGB and depth inputs to provide rich spatial cues for action planning, but these sensors can be costly or less accessible in real-world deployments. Recent approaches based on Vision-Language Action (VLA) models achieve strong results with monocular input, yet they still lag behind methods using panoramic RGB-D information. We present MonoDream, a lightweight VLA framework that enables monocular agents to learn a Unified Navigation Representation (UNR). This shared feature representation jointly aligns navigation-relevant visual semantics (e.g., global layout, depth, and future cues) and language-grounded action intent, enabling more reliable action prediction. MonoDream further introduces Latent Panoramic Dreaming (LPD) tasks to supervise the UNR, which train the model to predict latent features of panoramic RGB and depth observations at both current and future steps based on only monocular input. Experiments on multiple VLN benchmarks show that MonoDream consistently improves monocular navigation performance and significantly narrows the gap with panoramic-based agents.

2026 PEAP: Proactive Embodied Action Sequence Planning with Joint Understanding of Vision and Audio Perception
abstract
Embodied Action Sequence Planning focuses on the capability of embodied agents to implement action planning via environmental perception. This technology enables diverse intelligent assistance for real-world scenarios such as home and office environments. To address the limitations of existing embodied agents in meeting the requirement for proactivity and achieving joint understanding of visual and audio information, this study investigates the ability of embodied agents to proactively provide assistance through action sequence planning based on joint understanding of vision and audio perception without explicit human instructions.Correspondingly, we propose PEAP, the first multimodal proactive embodied action sequence planning dataset. We evaluate the performance of multiple Large Language Models on the PEAP dataset. The results demonstrate that these models still exhibit significant deficiencies on this task particularly lacking accurate environmental perception capabilities.Furthermore, ablation experiment and replacement experiment further corroborate that the joint understanding of multimodal information can significantly improve the models' performance on proactive embodied action sequence planning task. Our dataset and code are publicly available 1 .

2026 PSRNet: Progressive Semantic Refinement for Human Parsing via Text Conditioning and Embedding-Based Calibration
abstract
Human parsing requires fine-grained, pixel-level delineation of human parts and accessories, yet visually correlated categories and long-tailed parts often cause semantic confusion and boundary ambiguity. We propose PSRNet, a Progressive Semantic Refinement Network that exploits fixed class semantic embeddings derived from category text to refine parsing in a coarse-to-fine manner. First, a Text-Conditioned Feature Modulation (TCFM) module injects class semantics to modulate encoder features, enhancing low-level discriminability for confusing parts. Second, a Semantic-Embedding Calibration and Fusion (SECF) module combines a conventional linear classifier with an embedding-similarity head to calibrate category logits, effectively reducing misclassification among semantically close classes. Third, we introduce a Morphology-Guided Boundary Refinement loss (MGBR) that constructs boundary supervision via dilation–erosion operations on predictions and ground truth, encouraging sharper and more consistent part boundaries. Extensive experiments on two widely used benchmarks, LIP and CIHP, demonstrate that PSRNet consistently improves both parsing accuracy and boundary quality over strong baselines, with particularly notable gains on confusing part pairs.

2026 Beyond Over-Editing: Important Weight Constrained Knowledge Editing in Large Language Models
abstract
Efficiently editing the knowledge of large language models (LLMs) is crucial for real-world adaptation and error correction, yet remains a fundamental challenge. Existing approaches, primarily based on the Locate-Then-Edit paradigm, have achieved promising results by first identifying key parameters and then updating them; however, they still suffer from catastrophic over-editing, where sequential updates degrade both preserved and edited knowledge, especially as batch sizes grow. To address this, we propose Important Weight Constrained Knowledge Editing (IWCKEdit), a simple yet effective framework that introduces weight protection into the model editing process. IWCKEdit comprises two key modules: a front-end Protected Weight Identification Module that leverages Fisher information to detect weights essential for knowledge retention and effective editing, and a back-end Constrained Weight Updating Module that safeguards these critical weights during targeted updates for knowledge editing. Extensive experiments on large-scale models including GPT2-XL, Llama3-8B, and Qwen2.5-7B demonstrate that IWCKEdit achieves superior knowledge editing accuracy while robustly preserving both newly introduced and existing knowledge, substantially advancing the state of the art in LLM editing.

2026 DSSmoothing: Toward Certified Dataset Ownership Verification for Pre-trained Language Models via Dual-Space Smoothing
abstract
Large web-scale datasets have driven the rapid advancement of pre-trained language models (PLMs), but unauthorized data usage has raised serious copyright concerns. Existing dataset ownership verification (DOV) methods typically assume that watermarks remain stable during inference; however, this assumption often fails under natural noise and adversary-crafted perturbations. We propose the first certified dataset ownership verification method for PLMs under a gray-box setting (i.e., the defender can only query the suspicious model but is aware of its input representation module), based on dual-space smoothing (i.e., DSSmoothing). To address the challenges of text discreteness and semantic sensitivity, DSSmoothing introduces continuous perturbations in the embedding space to capture semantic robustness and applies controlled token reordering in the permutation space to capture sequential robustness. DSSmoothing consists of two stages: in the first stage, triggers are collaboratively embedded in both spaces to generate norm-constrained and robust watermarked datasets; in the second stage, randomized smoothing is applied in both spaces during verification to compute the watermark robustness (WR) of suspicious models and statistically compare it with the principal probability (PP) values of a set of benign models. Theoretically, DSSmoothing provides provable robustness guarantees for dataset ownership verification by ensuring that WR consistently exceeds PP under bounded dual-space perturbations. Extensive experiments on multiple representative web datasets demonstrate that DSSmoothing achieves stable and reliable verification performance and exhibits robustness against potential adaptive attacks. 2026 Enhancing weakly supervised 3D medical image segmentation through probabilistic-aware learning
abstract
3D medical image segmentation is a challenging task with crucial implications for disease diagnosis and treatment planning. Recent advances in deep learning have significantly enhanced fully supervised medical image segmentation. However, this approach heavily relies on labor-intensive and time-consuming fully annotated ground-truth labels, particularly for 3D volumes. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel probabilistic-aware weakly supervised learning pipeline, specifically designed for 3D medical imaging. Our pipeline integrates three innovative components: a Probability-based Pseudo-Label Generation technique for synthesizing dense segmentation masks from sparse annotations, a Probabilistic Multi-head Self-Attention network for robust feature extraction within our Probabilistic Transformer Network, and a Probability-informed Segmentation Loss Function to enhance training with annotation confidence. Demonstrating significant advances, our approach not only rivals the performance of fully supervised methods but also surpasses existing weakly supervised methods in CT and MRI datasets, achieving up to 18.1% improvement in Dice scores for certain organs. The code is available at https://github.com/runminjiang/PW4MedSeg .

2026 GRPCI: Harnessing Temporal-Spatial Dynamics for Graph Representation Learning
abstract
Temporal interactions form the crux of numerous real-world scenarios, thus necessitating effective modeling in temporal graph representation learning. Despite extensive research within this domain, we identify a significant oversight in current methodologies: the temporal-spatial dynamics in graphs, encompassing both structural and temporal coherence, remain largely unaddressed. In an effort to bridge this research gap, we present a novel framework termed Graph Representation learning enhanced by Periodic and Community Interactions (GRPCI). GRPCI consists of two primary mechanisms devised explicitly to tackle the aforementioned challenge. Firstly, to utilize latent temporal dynamics, we propose a novel periodicity-based neighborhood aggregation mechanism that underscores neighbors engaged in a periodic interaction pattern. This mechanism seamlessly integrates the element of periodicity into the model. Secondly, to exploit structural dynamics, we design a novel contrastive-based local community representation learning mechanism. This mechanism features a heuristic dynamic contrastive pair sampling strategy aimed at enhancing the modeling of the latent distribution of local com munities within the graphs. Through the incorporation of these two mechanisms, GRPCI markedly augments the performance of graph networks. Empirical evaluations, conducted via a temporal link prediction task across five real-life datasets, attest to the superior performance of GRPCI in comparison to existing state of-the-art methodologies. The results of this study validate the efficacy of GRPCI, thereby establishing a new benchmark for future research in the field of temporal graph representation learning. Our findings underscore the importance of considering both temporal and structural consistency in temporal graph learning, and advocate for further exploration of this paradigm.

2026 Dust to Tower: Prior-Driven Coarse-to-Fine Photo-Realistic Scene Reconstruction From Sparse Uncalibrated Images
abstract
Photo-realistic scene reconstruction from sparse-view, uncalibrated images is highly required in practice. Although some successes have been made, existing methods are either Sparse-View but require accurate camera parameters (i.e., intrinsic and extrinsic), or SfM-free but need densely captured images. This paper proposes Dust to Tower (D2T), a novel coarse-to-fine framework to address the coupled difficulty. The key idea is to explicitly narrow down the solution space and then introduce reliable supervision at novel viewpoints without resorting to expensive diffusion-based view synthesis. To do this, we first introduce a Coarse Construction Module (CCM) which exploits a fast Multi-View Stereo model to initialize a 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) and recover initial camera poses. To refine the 3D model at novel viewpoints, we introduce Confidence-Aware Depth Alignment (CADA), which aligns a monocular inverse-depth prior to the reliable regions of the coarse depth using DUSt3R confidence, producing sharp and scale-consistent depth maps for accurate warping. We further propose Warped Image-Guided Inpainting (WIGI), which converts the accurate warped views into multi-view-consistent pseudo supervision via elaborate warping and inpainting process. Experiments on three benchmark datasets show that D2T achieves superior novel view synthesis quality and pose accuracy over ten representative baselines, while keeping high efficiency.

2026 ExGes: Expressive Human Motion Retrieval and Modulation for Audio-Driven Gesture Synthesis
abstract
Audio-driven human gesture synthesis is a crucial task with broad applications in virtual avatars, human-computer interaction, and creative content generation. Despite notable progress, existing methods often produce coarse gestures, lack expressiveness, and fail to fully align with audio semantics. To address these challenges, we propose ExGes, a novel retrieval-enhanced diffusion framework with three key designs: (1) a Motion Base Construction, which builds a gesture library from the training dataset; (2) a Motion Retrieval Module, employing contrastive learning and momentum distillation for retrieving fine-grained reference poses; and (3) a Precise Control Module, integrating partial masking and stochastic masking to enable flexible and fine-grained control. Experimental evaluations on BEAT2 demonstrate that ExGes reduces Fréchet Gesture Distance by 4.55%and improves motion diversity by 5.3% over EMAGE, with user studies revealing a 71.3% preference for its naturalness and semantic relevance.

2025 MoC: Mixtures of Text Chunking Learners for Retrieval-Augmented Generation System
abstract
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), while serving as a viable complement to large language models (LLMs), often overlooks the crucial aspect of text chunking within its pipeline. This paper initially introduces a dual-metric evaluation method, comprising Boundary Clarity and Chunk Stickiness, to enable the direct quantification of chunking quality. Leveraging this assessment method, we highlight the inherent limitations of traditional and semantic chunking in handling complex contextual nuances, thereby substantiating the necessity of integrating LLMs into chunking process. To address the inherent trade-off between computational efficiency and chunking precision in LLM-based approaches, we devise the granularity-aware Mixture-of-Chunkers (MoC) framework, which consists of a three-stage processing mechanism. Notably, our objective is to guide the chunker towards generating a structured list of chunking regular expressions, which are subsequently employed to extract chunks from the original text. Extensive experiments demonstrate that both our proposed metrics and the MoC framework effectively settle challenges of the chunking task, revealing the chunking kernel while enhancing the performance of the RAG system.

2025 Idea23D: Collaborative LMM Agents Enable 3D Model Generation from Interleaved Multimodal Inputs
abstract
With the success of 2D diffusion models, 2D AIGC content has already transformed our lives. Recently, this success has been extended to 3D AIGC, with state-of-the-art methods generating textured 3D models from single images or text. However, we argue that current 3D AIGC methods still don’t fully unleash human creativity. We often imagine 3D content made from multimodal inputs, such as what it would look like if my pet bunny were eating a doughnut on the table. In this paper, we explore a novel 3D AIGC approach: generating 3D content from IDEAs. An IDEA is a multimodal input composed of text, image, and 3D models. To our knowledge, this challenging and exciting 3D AIGC setting has not been studied before. We propose the new framework Idea23D, which combines three agents based on large multimodal models (LMMs) and existing algorithmic tools. These three LMM-based agents are tasked with prompt generation, model selection, and feedback reflection. They collaborate and critique each other in a fully automated loop, without human intervention. The framework then generates a text prompt to create 3D models that align closely with the input IDEAs. We demonstrate impressive 3D AIGC results that surpass previous methods. To comprehensively assess the 3D AIGC capabilities of Idea23D, we introduce the Eval3DAIGC-198 dataset, containing 198 multimodal inputs for 3D generation tasks. This dataset evaluates the alignment between generated 3D content and input IDEAs. Our user study and quantitative results show that Idea23D significantly improves the success rate and accuracy of 3D generation, with excellent compatibility across various LMM, Text-to-Image, and Image-to-3D models. 2025 DualTalk: Dual-Speaker Interaction for 3D Talking Head Conversations
abstract
In face-to-face conversations, individuals need to switch between speaking and listening roles seamlessly. Existing 3D talking head generation models focus solely on speaking or listening, neglecting the natural dynamics of interactive conversation, which leads to unnatural interactions and awkward transitions. To address this issue, we propose a new task—multi-round dual-speaker interaction for 3D talking head generation—which requires models to handle and generate both speaking and listening behaviors in continuous conversation. To solve this task, we introduce DualTalk, a novel unified framework that integrates the dynamic behaviors of speakers and listeners to simulate realistic and coherent dialogue interactions. This framework not only synthesizes lifelike talking heads when speaking but also generates continuous and vivid non-verbal feedback when listening, effectively capturing the interplay between the roles. We also create a new dataset featuring 50 hours of multi-round conversations with over 1,000 characters, where participants continuously switch between speaking and listening roles. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method significantly enhances the naturalness and expressiveness of 3D talking heads in dual-speaker conversations. 2025 MambaVO: Deep Visual Odometry Based on Sequential Matching Refinement and Training Smoothing
abstract
Deep visual odometry has demonstrated great advancements by learning-to-optimize technology. This approach heavily relies on the visual matching across frames. However, ambiguous matching in challenging scenarios leads to significant errors in geometric modeling and bundle adjustment optimization, which undermines the accuracy and robustness of pose estimation. To address this challenge, this paper proposes MambaVO, which conducts robust initialization, Mamba-based sequential matching refinement, and smoothed training to enhance the matching quality and improve the pose estimation. Specifically, the new frame is matched with the closest keyframe in the maintained Point-Frame Graph (PFG) via the semi-dense based Geometric Initialization Module (GIM). Then the initialized PFG is processed by a proposed Geometric Mamba Module (GMM), which exploits the matching features to refine the overall inter-frame matching. The refined PFG is finally processed by differentiable BA to optimize the poses and the map. To deal with the gradient variance, a Trending-Aware Penalty (TAP) is proposed to smooth training and enhance convergence and stability. A loop closure module is finally applied to enable MambaVO++. On public benchmarks, MambaVO and MambaVO++ demonstrate SOTA performance, while ensuring real-time running.

2025 JTD-UAV: MLLM-Enhanced Joint Tracking and Description Framework for Anti-UAV Systems
abstract
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are widely adopted across various fields, yet they raise significant privacy and safety concerns, demanding robust monitoring solutions. Existing anti-UAV methods primarily focus on position tracking but fail to capture UAV behavior and intent. To address this, we introduce a novel task—UAV Tracking and Intent Understanding (UTIU)—which aims to track UAVs while inferring and describing their motion states and intent for a more comprehensive monitoring approach. To tackle the task, we propose JTD-UAV, the first joint tracking, and intent description framework based on large language models. Our dual-branch architecture integrates UAV tracking with Visual Question Answering (VQA), allowing simultaneous localization and behavior description. To benchmark this task, we introduce the TDUAV dataset, the largest dataset for joint UAV tracking and intent understanding, featuring 1,328 challenging video sequences, over 163K annotated thermal frames, and 3K VQA pairs. Our benchmark demonstrates the effectiveness of JTD-UAV.

2025 ThicknessVAE: Learning a Lateral Prior for Clothed Human Body Reconstruction
abstract
Sandwich-like structures have shown remarkable efficacy in clothed human reconstruction. However, these approaches often generate unrealistic side geometries due to inadequate handling of lateral regions. This paper addresses this limitation by incorporating the side geometry of clothed humans as a prior. We propose ThicknessVAE, a novel two-stage method that makes two key contributions: (1) We learn a prototype from point clouds for the lateral regions of clothed humans to extract common and detailed geometric features. (2) We utilize this prototype as a prior to transform geometric features into a thickness map associated with clothed human images, enabling refined normal integration for sandwich-like reconstruction methods. By seamlessly integrating our model into the sandwich-like reconstruction pipeline, we achieve highly realistic side views. Both qualitative and quantitative experiments demonstrate that our approach is comparable to state-of-the-art methods in terms of side-view realism.

2025 CARP: Visuomotor Policy Learning via Coarse-to-Fine Autoregressive Prediction
abstract
In robotic visuomotor policy learning, diffusion-based models have achieved significant success in improving the accuracy of action trajectory generation compared to traditional autoregressive models. However, they suffer from inefficiency due to multiple denoising steps and limited flexibility from complex constraints. In this paper, we introduce Coarse-to-Fine AutoRegressive Policy (CARP), a novel paradigm for visuomotor policy learning that redefines the autoregressive action generation process as a coarse-to-fine, next-scale approach. CARP decouples action generation into two stages: first, an action autoencoder learns multi-scale representations of the entire action sequence; then, a GPT-style transformer refines the sequence prediction through a coarse-to-fine autoregressive process. This straightforward and intuitive approach produces highly accurate and smooth actions, matching or even surpassing the performance of diffusion-based policies while maintaining efficiency on par with autoregressive policies. We conduct extensive evaluations across diverse settings, including single-task and multi-task scenarios on state-based and image-based simulation benchmarks, as well as real-world tasks. CARP achieves competitive success rates, with up to a 10% improvement, and delivers 10x faster inference compared to state-of-the-art policies, establishing a high-performance, efficient, and flexible paradigm for action generation in robotic tasks.

2025 Moderating the Generalization of Score-Based Generative Model
abstract
Score-based Generative Models (SGMs) have demonstrated remarkable generalization abilities, e.g. generating unseen, but natural data. However, the greater the generalization power, the more likely the unintended generalization, and the more dangerous the abuse. Research on moderated generalization in SGMs remains limited. To fill this gap, we first examine the current 'gold standard' in Machine Unlearning (MU), i.e., re-training the model after removing the undesirable training data, and find it does not work in SGMs. Further analysis of score functions reveals that the MU 'gold standard' does not alter the original score function, which explains its ineffectiveness. Based on this insight, we propose the first Moderated Score-based Generative Model (MSGM), which introduces a novel score adjustment strategy that redirects the score function away from undesirable data during the continuous-time stochastic differential equation process. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that MSGM significantly reduces the likelihood of generating undesirable content while preserving high visual quality for normal image generation. Albeit designed for SGMs, MSGM is a general and flexible MU framework that is compatible with diverse diffusion architectures (SGM and DDPM) and training strategies (re-training and fine-tuning), and enables zero-shot transfer of the pre-trained models to downstream tasks, e.g. image inpainting and reconstruction. The code will be shared upon acceptance.

2025 Twin Progressive Generative Adversarial Network For High-Resolution Image Inpainting
abstract
Image inpainting aims to generate content for missing regions while maintaining visual coherence in the reconstructed images. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have received increasing attention for their ability to repair high-resolution images. However, existing methods often overly rely on surrounding pixel information, overlooking noisy or incomplete information in boundary regions, which leads to blurred and unnatural results. To address these limitations, we propose a Twin Progressive Generative Adversarial Network (TP-GAN), which leverages global visual features from distant image contexts to reconstruct the overall structure and texture, improving the quality of high-resolution image inpainting. TP-GAN incorporates two generators and one discriminator, where the generators collaborate via exponential moving average optimization, focusing respectively on capturing fine details and global information. A progressive learning strategy is employed, starting with low-resolution restoration and gradually increasing resolution to simplify tasks and enhance adaptability to boundary regions. Extensive experimental evaluations on popular datasets demonstrate the superiority of TP-GAN.

2025 Meta-Learning Empowered Meta-Face: Personalized Speaking Style Adaptation for Audio-Driven 3D Talking Face Animation
abstract
Audio-driven 3D face animation is crucial for live streaming and augmented reality, yet most existing methods focus on specific individuals with predefined speaking styles, limiting adaptability to varied styles. To address this, we introduce MetaFace, a novel methodology for speaking style adaptation based on meta-learning. MetaFace comprises three key components: the Robust Meta Initialization Stage (RMIS) for foundational style adaptation, the Dynamic Relation Mining Neural Process (DRMN) to connect observed and unobserved speaking styles, and a Low-rank Matrix Memory Reduction Approach to optimize model efficiency and style detail learning. These innovations enable MetaFace to significantly outperform existing baselines and set a new state-of-the-art, as demonstrated by our experimental results.

2025 EraseAnything: Enabling Concept Erasure in Rectified Flow Transformers
abstract
Removing unwanted concepts from large-scale text-to-image (T2I) diffusion models while maintaining their overall generative quality remains an open challenge. This difficulty is especially pronounced in emerging paradigms, such as Stable Diffusion (SD) v3 and Flux, which incorporate flow matching and transformer-based architectures. These advancements limit the transferability of existing concept-erasure techniques that were originally designed for the previous T2I paradigm (e.g., SD v1.4). In this work, we introduce EraseAnything, the first method specifically developed to address concept erasure within the latest flow-based T2I framework. We formulate concept erasure as a bi-level optimization problem, employing LoRA-based parameter tuning and an attention map regularizer to selectively suppress undesirable activations. Furthermore, we propose a self-contrastive learning strategy to ensure that removing unwanted concepts does not inadvertently harm performance on unrelated ones. Experimental results demonstrate that EraseAnything successfully fills the research gap left by earlier methods in this new T2I paradigm, achieving state-of-the-art performance across a wide range of concept erasure tasks.

2025 GLDiTalker: Speech-Driven 3D Facial Animation with Graph Latent Diffusion Transformer
abstract
Speech-driven talking head generation is a critical yet challenging task with applications in augmented reality and virtual human modeling. While recent approaches using autoregressive and diffusion-based models have achieved notable progress, they often suffer from modality inconsistencies, particularly misalignment between audio and mesh, leading to reduced motion diversity and lip-sync accuracy. To address this, we propose GLDiTalker, a novel speech-driven 3D facial animation model based on a Graph Latent Diffusion Transformer. GLDiTalker resolves modality misalignment by diffusing signals within a quantized spatiotemporal latent space. It employs a two-stage training pipeline: the Graph-Enhanced Quantized Space Learning Stage ensures lip-sync accuracy, while the Space-Time Powered Latent Diffusion Stage enhances motion diversity. Together, these stages enable GLDiTalker to generate realistic, temporally stable 3D facial animations. Extensive evaluations on standard benchmarks demonstrate that GLDiTalker outperforms existing methods, achieving superior results in both lip-sync accuracy and motion diversity.

2025 Flexible Multi-view Clustering with Dynamic Views Generation
abstract
Multi-view clustering is one of the fundamental unsupervised multimedia analysis tasks. Recent studies have mainly focused on developing multi-view clustering approaches, which can achieve state-of-the-art clustering performance. However, most of the existing works just focus on multi-view clustering with fixed views, which lacks flexibility with guidance of the views dynamically generated. Besides, these works ignore to integrate generating views in a dynamic manner and learning the common representation shared by different views into a unified framework. To this end, we propose the Flexible Multi-view Clustering with Dynamic Views Generation (FMCDVG). Specifically, FMCDVG adopts the graph convolutional network and auto-encoder to dynamically generate the topological graph representation and node attribute representation as two different views, respectively. FMCDVG introduces the latent representation shared by different feature representations and integrates multiple feature representations based on node attributes and graph structure into the latent representation with reconstruction through reconstructed encoding networks (REN). FMCDVG jointly conducts generating views in a dynamic manner and learning the common representation shared by different views in a unified optimization framework. We demonstrate that FMCDVG is able to consistently achieve better clustering performance than the state-of-the-art methods through comprehensive experiments.

2025 CoheDancers: Enhancing Interactive Group Dance Generation through Music-Driven Coherence Decomposition
abstract
Music-Driven Dance Generation seeks to create dance movements synchronized with music, playing a key role in applications like performance and gaming. While solo dance generation has seen progress, group dance generation remains underexplored. Although several methods have been proposed, existing approaches frequently fail to ensure spatial-temporal coherence, resulting in unrealistic and aesthetically unpleasing performances. To tackle the issue, we introduce CoheDancers, a novel framework for Music-Driven Interactive Group Dance Generation. CoheDancers aims to enhance group dance generation coherence by decomposing it into three key aspects: synchronization, naturalness, and fluidity. Correspondingly, we develop a Cycle Consistency based Dance Synchronization strategy to foster music-dance correspondences, an Auto-Regressive-based Exposure Bias Correction strategy to enhance the fluidity of the generated dances, and an Adversarial Training Strategy to augment the naturalness of the group dance output. Collectively, these strategies enable CoheDancers to produce highly coherent group dances with superior quality. Furthermore, to establish better benchmarks for Group Music2Dance, we construct the most diverse and comprehensive open-source dataset to date, I-Dancers, featuring rich dancer interactions, and create comprehensive evaluation metrics. Experimental evaluations on I-Dancers and other extant datasets substantiate that CoheDancers achieves unprecedented state-of-the-art performance. 2025 Aux-Think: Exploring Reasoning Strategies for Data-Efficient Vision-Language Navigation
abstract
Vision-Language Navigation is a critical task for developing embodied agents that can follow natural language instructions to navigate in complex real-world environments. Recent advances by finetuning large pretrained models have significantly improved generalization and instruction grounding compared to traditional approaches. However, the role of reasoning strategies in navigation—an action-centric, long-horizon task—remains underexplored, despite Chain-of-Thought reasoning's demonstrated success in static tasks like question answering and visual reasoning. To address this gap, we conduct the first systematic evaluation of reasoning strategies for VLN, including No-Think (direct action prediction), Pre-Think (reason before action), and Post-Think (reason after action). Surprisingly, our findings reveal the Inference-time Reasoning Collaps issue, where inference-time reasoning degrades navigation accuracy, highlighting the challenges of integrating reasoning into VLN. Based on this insight, we propose Aux-Think, a framework that trains models to internalize structured reasoning patterns through CoT supervision during training, while preserving No-Think inference for efficient action prediction. To support this framework, we release R2R-CoT-320k, a large-scale Chain-of-Thought annotated dataset. Empirically, Aux-Think significantly reduces training effort without compromising performance.

2025 VarGes: Improving Variation in Co-Speech 3D Gesture Generation via StyleCLIPS
abstract
Generating expressive and diverse human gestures from audio is crucial in fields like human-computer interaction, virtual reality, and animation. While existing methods have achieved remarkable performance, they often exhibit limitations due to constrained dataset diversity and the restricted amount of information derived from audio inputs. To address these challenges, we present VarGes, a novel variationdriven framework designed to enhance co-speech gesture generation by integrating visual stylistic cues while maintaining naturalness. Our approach begins with a variation-enhanced feature extraction module, which seamlessly incorporates style-reference video data into a 3D human pose estimation network to extract StyleCLIPS, thereby enriching the input with stylistic information. Subsequently, we employ a variation-compensation style encoder, a transformer-style encoder equipped with an additive attention mechanism pooling layer, to robustly encode diverse StyleCLIPS representations and effectively manage stylistic variations. Finally, a variation-driven gesture predictor module fuses MFCC audio features with StyleCLIPS encodings via cross-attention, injecting this fused data into a cross-conditional autoregressive model to modulate 3D human gesture generation based on audio input and stylistic clues. The efficacy of our approach is validated on benchmark datasets, on which it outperforms existing methods in terms of gesture diversity and naturalness. 2024 Everything2Motion: Synchronizing Diverse Inputs via a Unified Framework for Human Motion Synthesis
abstract
In the dynamic field of film and game development, the emergence of human motion synthesis methods has revolutionized avatar animation. Traditional methodologies, typically reliant on single modality inputs like text or audio, employ modality-specific model frameworks, posing challenges for unified model deployment and application. To address this, we propose Everything2Motion, a unified model framework. Everything2Motion consists of three key modules. The Input-Output Modality Modulation module tailors structures for specific multimodal inputs, eliminating the need for modality-specific frameworks. The Query-aware Autoencoder, based on the transformer encoder-decoder architecture, enables efficient latent motion generation. Lastly, the Prior Motion Distillation Decoder, a pretrained module, enhances the final skeleton sequence's naturalness and fluidity. Comprehensive experiments on several public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of Everything2Motion, highlighting its potential for practical applications and setting a new benchmark in human motion synthesis.

2024 SyncTalk: The Devil is in the Synchronization for Talking Head Synthesis
abstract
Achieving high synchronization in the synthesis of realistic, speech-driven talking head videos presents a significant challenge. Traditional Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) struggle to maintain consistent facial identity, while Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) methods, although they can address this issue, often produce mismatched lip movements, inadequate facial expressions, and unstable head poses. A lifelike talking head requires synchronized coordination of subject identity, lip movements, facial expression, and head poses. The absence of these synchronizations is a fundamental flaw, leading to unrealistic and artificial outcomes. To address the critical issue of synchronization, identified as the “devil” in creating realistic talking heads, we introduce SyncTalk. This NeRF-based method effectively maintains subject identity, enhancing synchronization and realism in talking head synthesis. SyncTalk employs a Face-Sync Controller to align lip movements with speech and innovatively uses a 3D facial blendshape model to capture accurate facial expressions. Our Head-Sync Stabilizer optimizes head poses, achieving more natural head movements. The Portrait-Sync Generator restores hair details and blends the generated head with the torso for a seamless visual experience. Extensive experiments and user studies demonstrate that SyncTalk outperforms state-of-the-art methods in synchronization and realism. 2023 Robust Single Image Reflection Removal Against Adversarial Attacks
abstract
This paper addresses the problem of robust deep single-image reflection removal (SIRR) against adversarial attacks. Current deep learning based SIRR methods have shown significant performance degradation due to unnoticeable distortions and perturbations on input images. For a comprehensive robustness study, we first conduct diverse adversarial attacks specifically for the SIRR problem, i.e. towards different attacking targets and regions. Then we propose a robust SIRR model, which integrates the cross-scale attention module, the multi-scale fusion module, and the adversarial image discriminator. By exploiting the multi-scale mechanism, the model narrows the gap between features from clean and adversarial images. The image discriminator adaptively distinguishes clean or noisy inputs, and thus further gains reliable robustness. Extensive experiments on Nature, SIR2, and Real datasets demonstrate that our model remarkably improves the robustness of SIRR across disparate scenes.

2023 EmoTalk: Speech-Driven Emotional Disentanglement for 3D Face Animation
abstract
Speech-driven 3D face animation aims to generate realistic facial expressions that match the speech content and emotion. However, existing methods often neglect emotional facial expressions or fail to disentangle them from speech content. To address this issue, this paper proposes an end-to-end neural network to disentangle different emotions in speech so as to generate rich 3D facial expressions. Specifically, we introduce the emotion disentangling encoder (EDE) to disentangle the emotion and content in the speech by cross-reconstructed speech signals with different emotion labels. Then an emotion-guided feature fusion decoder is employed to generate a 3D talking face with enhanced emotion. The decoder is driven by the disentangled identity, emotional, and content embeddings so as to generate controllable personal and emotional styles. Finally, considering the scarcity of the 3D emotional talking face data, we resort to the supervision of facial blendshapes, which enables the reconstruction of plausible 3D faces from 2D emotional data, and contribute a large-scale 3D emotional talking face dataset (3D-ETF) to train the network. 2023 D-IF: Uncertainty-aware Human Digitization via Implicit Distribution Field
abstract
Realistic virtual humans play a crucial role in numerous industries, such as metaverse, intelligent healthcare, and self-driving simulation. But creating them on a large scale with high levels of realism remains a challenge. The utilization of deep implicit function sparks a new era of image-based 3D clothed human reconstruction, enabling pixel-aligned shape recovery with fine details. Subsequently, the vast majority of works locate the surface by regressing the deterministic implicit value for each point. However, should all points be treated equally regardless of their proximity to the surface? In this paper, we propose replacing the implicit value with an adaptive uncertainty distribution, to differentiate between points based on their distance to the surface. This simple "value ⇒ distribution" transition yields significant improvements on nearly all the baselines. Furthermore, qualitative results demonstrate that the models trained using our uncertainty distribution loss, can capture more intricate wrinkles, and realistic limbs. 2023 GIDP: Learning a Good Initialization and Inducing Descriptor Post-enhancing for Large-scale Place Recognition
abstract
Large-scale place recognition is a fundamental but challenging task, which plays an increasingly important role in autonomous driving and robotics. Existing methods have achieved acceptable good performance, however, most of them are concentrating on designing elaborate global descriptor learning network structures. The importance of feature generalization and descriptor post-enhancing has long been neglected. In this work, we propose a novel method named GIDP to learn a Good Initialization and Inducing Descriptor Pose-enhancing for Large-scale Place Recognition. In particular, an unsupervised momentum contrast point cloud pretraining module and a reranking-based descriptor post-enhancing module are proposed respectively in GIDP. The former aims at learning a good initialization for the point cloud encoding network before training the place recognition model, while the later aims at post-enhancing the predicted global descriptor through reranking at inference time. Ex-tensive experiments on both indoor and outdoor datasets demonstrate that our method can achieve state-of-the-art performance using simple and general point cloud encoding backbones.

2023 Reconstruction-Aware Prior Distillation for Semi-supervised Point Cloud Completion
abstract
Real-world sensors often produce incomplete, irregular, and noisy point clouds, making point cloud completion increasingly important. However, most existing completion methods rely on large paired datasets for training, which is labor-intensive. This paper proposes RaPD, a novel semi-supervised point cloud completion method that reduces the need for paired datasets. RaPD utilizes a two-stage training scheme, where a deep semantic prior is learned in stage 1 from unpaired complete and incomplete point clouds, and a semi-supervised prior distillation process is introduced in stage 2 to train a completion network using only a small number of paired samples. Additionally, a self-supervised completion module is introduced to improve performance using unpaired incomplete point clouds. Experiments on multiple datasets show that RaPD outperforms previous methods in both homologous and heterologous scenarios.

2023 SelfTalk: A Self-Supervised Commutative Training Diagram to Comprehend 3D Talking Faces
abstract
Speech-driven 3D face animation technique, extending its applications to various multimedia fields.Previous research has generated promising realistic lip movements and facial expressions from audio signals. However, traditional regression models solely driven by data face several essential problems, such as difficulties in accessing precise labels and domain gaps between different modalities, leading to unsatisfactory results lacking precision and coherence. To enhance the visual accuracy of generated lip movement while reducing the dependence on labeled data, we propose a novel framework SelfTalk, by involving self-supervision in a cross-modals network system to learn 3D talking faces. The framework constructs a network system consisting of three modules: facial animator, speech recognizer, and lip-reading interpreter. The core of SelfTalk is a commutative training diagram that facilitates compatible features exchange among audio, text, and lip shape, enabling our models to learn the intricate connection between these factors. The proposed framework leverages the knowledge learned from the lip-reading interpreter to generate more plausible lip shapes. Extensive experiments and user studies demonstrate that our proposed approach achieves state-of-the-art performance both qualitatively and quantitatively. 2022 SVT-Net: Super Light-Weight Sparse Voxel Transformer for Large Scale Place Recognition
abstract
Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and Autonomous Driving are becoming increasingly more important in recent years. Point cloud-based large scale place recognition is the spine of them. While many models have been proposed and have achieved acceptable performance by learning short-range local features, they always skip long-range contextual properties. Moreover, the model size also becomes a serious shackle for their wide applications. To overcome these challenges, we propose a super light-weight network model termed SVT-Net. On top of the highly efficient 3D Sparse Convolution (SP-Conv), an Atom-based Sparse Voxel Transformer (ASVT) and a Cluster-based Sparse Voxel Transformer (CSVT) are proposed respectively to learn both short-range local features and long-range contextual features. Consisting of ASVT and CSVT, SVT-Net can achieve state-of-the-art performance in terms of both recognition accuracy and running speed with a super-light model size (0.9M parameters). Meanwhile, for the purpose of further boosting efficiency, we introduce two simplified versions, which also achieve state-of-the-art performance and further reduce the model size to 0.8M and 0.4M respectively.

However, acquiring ground-truth labels to train a unified deep learning model that can simultaneously deal with these tasks is unaffordable. To this end, we propose an end-to-end unified multi-task learning framework to simultaneously complete the three tasks, where models are trained in an unsupervised manner without using any labels. In particular, we have three parallel branches. In the alignment branch, we adopt a two-stage training scheme, i.e., self-supervised pretraining and constrained unsupervised training using our proposed skip correlation attention layer and constrained loss. Synchronously, in the clustering branch, the learned deep cluster features are utilized to iteratively cluster subtomograms into groups using pseudo-labels from an image-wise Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM). Meanwhile, in the segmentation branch, we use rough pseudo-labels generated from a voxel-wise GMM as supervision signals, and prior knowledge from humans is utilized to jointly learn how to correct these labels as well as predict reliable segmentation results. Benefiting from the end-to-end unified network architecture, our method achieves overall state-of-the-art performance on both simulated and real subtomogram processing benchmarks.

2021 MPDNet: A 3D Missing Part Detection Network Based on Point Cloud Segmentation
abstract
Utilizing computer vision technologies for machinery missing part detection has been a hot research topic recently. Most of existing methods take images as input and utilize 2D object detection pipelines for detecting fault regions. However, 2D models can’t handle the situation when occlusion exists. To tackle the issue, in this paper, we propose a novel model named MPDNet, which exploits 3D point cloud pairs as input for missing part detection. In MPDNet, the missing part detection problem is transformed into a binary segmentation problem. The key idea behind our approach is that difference between two point clouds can be fully perceived in the latent feature space if they are encoded by the same encoder. Specially, we firstly propose a shared encode and abnormal lift module to find and enlarge difference between the target point cloud to be diagnosed and its corresponding predefined source point cloud without any fault. Then an attention based decoder is proposed to segment the source point cloud into two clusters: points that are missing in the target point cloud and points that are preserved in the target point cloud. Meanwhile, to make the model robust, a point cloud construction module is proposed as an auxiliary task to help the shared encoder to learn more discriminative features. Experiments on both synthetic and real world datasets have demonstrated the effectiveness of our model.

2020 PointFPN: A Frustum-based Feature Pyramid Network for 3D Object Detection
abstract
3D object detection is crucial to ensure the reliability and stability of autonomous driving systems. In recent years, researchers have made great progress in 3D object detection by combining features of images and point clouds. However, there is still much room for detection accuracy improvement, especially for small object detection. In this paper, we propose a frustum-based 3D object detection model named PointFPN. The core idea of PointFPN is learning expressive semantic and contextual information for small objects, e.g., pedestrians and cyclists in an urban street scene. To detect 3D objects, our model uses frustums to bridge the gap between images and point clouds and thus generating proposals. Then, a feature pyramid structure is designed to extract and fuse multi-level features of target objects represented by point clouds. Meanwhile, we develop a multilevel regression network to calculate different parameters of 3D bounding boxes at different feature levels. Through elaborate structure designed above, our model can learn discriminative features which are highly relevant to bounding box parameters at different feature levels. Experimental study shows that our model is effective in detecting small objects and has a strong robustness to sparse point clouds. Our model demonstrates state-of-the-art performance on small object detection on KITTI benchmark.

2020 DAGC: Employing Dual Attention and Graph Convolution for Point Cloud based Place Recognition
abstract
Point cloud based retrieval for place recognition remains to be a problem demanding prompt solution due to its difficulty in efficiently encoding local features into adequate global descriptor in scenes. Existing studies solve this problem by generating a global descriptor for each point cloud, which is used to retrieve matched point cloud in database. But existing studies do not make effective use of the relationship between points and neglect different feature's discrimination power. In this paper, we propose to employ Dual Attention and Graph Convolution for point cloud based place recognition (DAGC) to solve these issues. Specifically, we employ two modules to help extract discriminative and generalizable features to describe a point cloud. We introduce a Dual Attention module to help distinguish task-relevant features and to utilize other points' different contributions to a point to generate representation. Meanwhile, we introduce a Residual Graph Convolution Network (ResGCN) module to aggregate local features of each point's multi-level neighbor points to further improve the representation. In this way, we improve the descriptor generation by considering the importance of both point and feature and leveraging point relationship. Experiments conducted on different datasets show that our work outperforms current approaches on all evaluation metrics.

2020 SRNet: A 3D Scene Recognition Network using Static Graph and Dense Semantic Fusion
abstract
Abstract Point cloud based 3D scene recognition is fundamental to many real world applications such as Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). However, most of existing methods do not take full advantage of the contextual semantic features of scenes. And their recognition abilities are severely affected by dynamic noise such as points of cars and pedestrians in the scene. To tackle these issues, we propose a new Scene Recognition Network, namely SRNet. In this model, to learn local features without being affected by dynamic noise, we propose Static Graph Convolution (SGC) module, which are then stacked as our backbone. Next, to further avoid dynamic noise, we introduce a Spatial Attention Module (SAM) to make the feature descriptor pay more attention to immovable local areas that are more relevant to our task. Finally, in order to make a more profound sense of the scene, we design a Dense Semantic Fusion (DSF) strategy to integrate multi‐level features during feature propagation, which helps the model deepen its understanding of the contextual semantics of scenes. By utilizing these designs, SRNet can map scenes to discriminative and generalizable feature vectors, which are then used for finding matching pairs. Experimental studies demonstrate that SRNet achieves new state‐of‐the‐art on scene recognition and shows good generalization ability to other point cloud based tasks.

2020 A Graph-based One-Shot Learning Method for Point Cloud Recognition
abstract
Abstract Point cloud based 3D vision tasks, such as 3D object recognition, are critical to many real world applications such as autonomous driving. Many point cloud processing models based on deep learning have been proposed by researchers recently. However, they are all large‐sample dependent, which means that a large amount of manually labelled training data are needed to train the model, resulting in huge labor cost. In this paper, to tackle this problem, we propose a One‐Shot learning model for Point Cloud Recognition, namely OS‐PCR. Different from previous methods, our method formulates a new setting, where the model only needs to see one sample per class once for memorizing at inference time when new classes are needed to be recognized. To fulfill this task, we design three modules in the model: an Encoder Module, an Edge‐conditioned Graph Convolutional Network Module, and a Query Module. To evaluate the performance of the proposed model, we build a one‐shot learning benchmark dataset for 3D point cloud analysis. Then, comprehensive experiments are conducted on it to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model.
