2014 An AR edutainment system supporting bone anatomy learning
abstract
We present a medical Augmented Reality (AR) edutainment system for bone anatomy learning. This learning environment, called AR bone puzzle, is a metaphor for bone anatomy learning with AR visualization and intuitive interaction. AR bone puzzle uses its user's body as a puzzle frame and computer generated virtual bones as puzzle pieces. Users learn bone anatomy by assembling the virtual bone pieces on their body. Key features of this system are 3D AR visualization and intuitive gesture based user interaction.

2012 Advanced wireless cooperation mechanisms for interference mitigation in the 2.4 GHz ISM band
abstract
We propose a new cooperation mechanism, denoted by cooperative channel segmentation (CCS), between IEEE 802.11 WLANs and Bluetooth based WPANs, which operate in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. The CCS avoids false detection of WLAN carrier sense, which usually happens when WLAN and Bluetooth antenna are nearly deployed. In CCS, WLAN and Bluetooth system share the mutual interference channel information and devices operation channels between Bluetooth and WLAN. We evaluated the performance of CCS by simulation, and the simulation result showed that the performance of CCS is better than legacy cooperation mechanisms.

2010 A Throughput Performance for a Point-to-Multipoint Gigabit WLAN System on 60 GHz Millimeter Wave
abstract
Increasing demand on the broadband wireless communication over Gigabits has focused renewed attention on 60 GHz millimeter wave. We developed a novel point-to-multipoint (P2MP) gigabit WLAN System on 60 GHz millimeter wave. The proposed system employed wide angle beams antenna overcomes the usability of the conventional system, covers larger areas. Maximum transmission rate was designed to be 1.2 Gigabit/sec. Orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) using 1024 points FFT and convolutional code were implemented with PHY layer of the WLAN equipments. Superframe for multiple beams and frame aggregation for high throughput were designed for MAC layer. All control channels for downlink such as broadcast, frame control and access feedback were aggregated to reduce overhead in addition to aggregation of data frame. Evaluated throughput using proposed frame aggregation was confirmed to be more than 800 Mbit/sec with developed prototype in the case of aggregation size of 10 × 1500 byte.

Maximum improvement of throughput due to control channel aggregation was evaluated to be 200% compared with individual transmission. Evaluated throughput using proposed frame aggregation was confirmed to be more than 852 Mbit/sec in the case of aggregation size of 16 times 1500byte.

2005 A Study of Information Services Based on Personal Belongings
abstract
In this paper we will discuss a general idea about an information system which provides information a user really needs in various situations, at home, at train station, and/or at office, etc. We will discuss how RFID could be applied for this kind of system especially from the standpoint of using RFID as a way to collect information of personal belongings. Also we will discuss security issues of using RFID as a component of the proposed system because while RFID could provide usefulness, it could also be very dangerous for revealing private information without user's awareness. Some solutions to this issue will be shown by introducing an additional tag to be attached to the original RFID.
