2026 NeuroBridge: Bio-Inspired Self-Supervised EEG-to-Image Decoding via Cognitive Priors and Bidirectional Semantic Alignment
abstract
Visual neural decoding seeks to reconstruct or infer perceived visual stimuli from brain activity patterns, providing critical insights into human cognition and enabling transformative applications in brain-computer interfaces and artificial intelligence. Current approaches, however, remain constrained by the scarcity of high-quality stimulus-brain response pairs and the inherent semantic mismatch between neural representations and visual content. Inspired by perceptual variability and co-adaptive strategy of the biological systems, we propose a novel self-supervised architecture, named NeuroBridge, which integrates Cognitive Prior Augmentation (CPA) with Shared Semantic Projector (SSP) to promote effective cross-modality alignment. Specifically, CPA simulates perceptual variability by applying asymmetric, modality-specific transformations to both EEG signals and images, enhancing semantic diversity. Unlike previous approaches, SSP establishes a bidirectional alignment process through a co-adaptive strategy, which mutually aligns features from two modalities into a shared semantic space for effective cross-modal learning. NeuroBridge surpasses previous state-of-the-art methods under both intra-subject and inter-subject settings. In the intra-subject scenario, it achieves the improvements of 12.3% in top-1 accuracy and 10.2% in top-5 accuracy, reaching 63.2% and 89.9% respectively on a 200-way zero-shot retrieval task. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness, robustness, and scalability of the proposed framework for neural visual decoding.

2023 A Truth Inference Algorithm Using Bidirectional Convolution Autoencoder for Crowdsourcing Image Segmentation
abstract
In the paper, we propose a truth inference algorithm based on bidirectional convolutional autoencoder to capture and utilize the internal structure information underling complex tasks, e.g. image segmentation. Firstly, the correlation information of adjacent pixels is extracted from the horizontal and vertical directions of the image by two encoders, and each pixel is encoded by the feature. Then, the embedding features of the two encoders are weighted and fused to obtain a new embedding feature, and the pixels are clustered according to this new embedding feature. Finally, determine whether the cluster is a background or an object based on what most people choose. Experiments are conducted on four real-world biomedical image datasets, and the experimental results prove the effectiveness and robustness of proposed algorithm.

2021 NAAM-MOEA/D-Based Multitarget Firepower Resource Allocation Optimization in Edge Computing
abstract
In the edge environment, the multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition (MOEA/D) has been widely used in the research of multitarget firepower resource allocation. However, as the MOEA/D algorithm uses a fixed neighborhood update mechanism, it is impossible to rationally allocate computing resources based on the difficulty of each subproblem optimization, which results in some problems such as reduced population evolution efficiency and poor evolution quality during the calculation process. In order to solve these problems, a decision mechanism for subproblems and population evolution stages is designed, and on this basis, a MOEA/D algorithm based on the neighborhood adaptive adjustment mechanism is proposed to adapt to the edge environment. The optimization model of multiobjective firepower resource allocation based on the maximization of damage effect and the minimization of strike cost is constructed and solved. Using the ZDT series of test functions for comparative experiments, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can balance the distribution and convergence of population evolution and obtain satisfactory optimization results.
