1981 Computer Tracking of Moving Point Targets in Space
abstract
An adaptive algorithm based on the maximum likelihood ratio is described in this correspondence. The algorithm detects low-intensity targets and tracks their paths. The charged-coupled device (CCD) mosaic sensor collects photons from the targets and the sky background. The algorithm computes the noise statistics, simulates the target pattern, correlates the received data with the target patterns, compares with the corresponding threshold, and prints out the positions and paths of the targets when present.

1979 Detection of Narrow-Band Frequency Modulated Signal
abstract
The detection of a narrow-band frequency modulated signal in the presence of white Gaussian noise is investigated. Using NeymanPearson criteria, it has been shown that the receiver is similar to the matched filter and performance of the receiver is also identical to the binary detection of known Signals in the presence of white noise, it is assumed in the anlaysis that the signal to noise ratio is very small and that the amplitude of the sinusoidal modulating signal is also very small.

1978 Spectrum estimation of non-uniform sampled data
abstract
The spectrum of a time series sampled at irregular intervals is considered. A new set of data is obtained from non-uniform sampled values by a linear transformation. The linear transformation is a bilinear transformation and has the property that the spectra of new data and the original data are the same. The standard fast Fourier transform (FFT) can be applied to compute the estimate of the spectrum of the time series.

1977 Spread Spectrum and Time Division Multiple Access Satellite Communications
abstract
Although time division multiple access (TDMA) satellite communication provides the highest traffic capacity per satellite and offers efficient transmission of a wide variety of services, it suffers from network timing and ranging requirements and message security. On the other hand, spread spectrum multiple access (SSMA) satellite communication is suited for reliable random access and tactical transmission systems. Orthogonal functions such as Rademacher, Haar, and Walsh, or pseudonoise sequence coding of amplitude and phase of the analog message or code division of baseband signals, frequency and time hopping are among the several methods employed for spread spectrum communications. A combination of TDMA and SSMA can be used for asynchronous and reliable transmission of digital or analog signals.
