| 2026 | Tuning-Free Adaptive Style Incorporation for Structure-Consistent Text-Driven Style TransferabstractText-driven style transfer methods leveraging diffusion models have shown impressive creativity, yet they still face challenges in maintaining consistent structure and content preservation. Existing methods often directly concatenate the content and style prompts for a prompt-level style injection. However, this coarse-grained style injection strategy inevitably leads to structural deviations in the stylized images. This poses a significant obstacle for professional artists and creators seeking precise artistic editing. In this work, we strive to attain a harmonious balance between content preservation and style transformation. We propose Adaptive Style Incorporation (ASI), to achieve fine-grained feature-level style incorporation. It consists of the Siamese Cross-Attention (SiCA) to decouple the single-track cross-attention to a dual-track structure to obtain separate content and style features, and the Adaptive Content-Style Blending (AdaBlending) module to couple the content and style information from a structure-consistent manner. Experimentally, our method exhibits much better performance in both structure preservation and stylized effects. | 2025 | MMAD: A Comprehensive Benchmark for Multimodal Large Language Models in Industrial Anomaly DetectionabstractIn the field of industrial inspection, Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have a high potential to renew the paradigms in practical applications due to their robust language capabilities and generalization abilities. However, despite their impressive problem-solving skills in many domains, MLLMs' ability in industrial anomaly detection has not been systematically studied. To bridge this gap, we present MMAD, a full-spectrum MLLM benchmark in industrial Anomaly Detection. We defined seven key subtasks of MLLMs in industrial inspection and designed a novel pipeline to generate the MMAD dataset with 39,672 questions for 8,366 industrial images. With MMAD, we have conducted a comprehensive, quantitative evaluation of various state-of-the-art MLLMs. The commercial models performed the best, with the average accuracy of GPT-4o models reaching 74.9\%. However, this result falls far short of industrial requirements. Our analysis reveals that current MLLMs still have significant room for improvement in answering questions related to industrial anomalies and defects. We further explore two training-free performance enhancement strategies to help models improve in industrial scenarios, highlighting their promising potential for future research.

| 2025 | Domain Generalization via Discrete Codebook LearningabstractDomain generalization (DG) strives to address distribution shifts across diverse environments to enhance model’s generalizability. Current DG approaches are confined to acquiring robust representations with continuous features, specifically training at the pixel level. However, this DG paradigm may struggle to mitigate distribution gaps in dealing with a large space of continuous features, rendering it susceptible to pixel details that exhibit spurious correlations or noise. In this paper, we first theoretically demonstrate that the domain gaps in continuous representation learning can be reduced by the discretization process. Based on this inspiring finding, we introduce a novel learning paradigm for DG, termed Discrete Domain Generalization (DDG). DDG proposes to use a codebook to quantize the feature map into discrete codewords, aligning semantic-equivalent information in a shared discrete representation space that prioritizes semantic-level information over pixel-level intricacies. By learning at the semantic level, DDG diminishes the number of latent features, optimizing the utilization of the representation space and alleviating the risks associated with the wide-ranging space of continuous features. Extensive experiments across widely employed benchmarks in DG demonstrate DDG’s superior performance compared to state-of-the-art approaches, underscoring its potential to reduce the distribution gaps and enhance the model’s generalizability. | 2024 | A Bayesian Federated Learning Framework With Online Laplace ApproximationabstractFederated learning (FL) allows multiple clients to collaboratively learn a globally shared model through cycles of model aggregation and local model training, without the need to share data. Most existing FL methods train local models separately on different clients, and then simply average their parameters to obtain a centralized model on the server side. However, these approaches generally suffer from large aggregation errors and severe local forgetting, which are particularly bad in heterogeneous data settings. To tackle these issues, in this paper, we propose a novel FL framework that uses online Laplace approximation to approximate posteriors on both the client and server side. On the server side, a multivariate Gaussian product mechanism is employed to construct and maximize a global posterior, largely reducing the aggregation errors induced by large discrepancies between local models. On the client side, a prior loss that uses the global posterior probabilistic parameters delivered from the server is designed to guide the local training. Binding such learning constraints from other clients enables our method to mitigate local forgetting. Finally, we achieve state-of-the-art results on several benchmarks, clearly demonstrating the advantages of the proposed method. | 2022 | SoftPatch: Unsupervised Anomaly Detection with Noisy DataabstractAlthough mainstream unsupervised anomaly detection (AD) algorithms perform well in academic datasets, their performance is limited in practical application due to the ideal experimental setting of clean training data. Training with noisy data is an inevitable problem in real-world anomaly detection but is seldom discussed. This paper considers label-level noise in image sensory anomaly detection for the first time. To solve this problem, we proposed a memory-based unsupervised AD method, SoftPatch, which efficiently denoises the data at the patch level. Noise discriminators are utilized to generate outlier scores for patch-level noise elimination before coreset construction. The scores are then stored in the memory bank to soften the anomaly detection boundary. Compared with existing methods, SoftPatch maintains a strong modeling ability of normal data and alleviates the overconfidence problem in coreset. Comprehensive experiments in various noise scenes demonstrate that SoftPatch outperforms the state-of-the-art AD methods on the MVTecAD and BTAD benchmarks and is comparable to those methods under the setting without noise.
