| 1993 | A Survey and Assessment of Software Process Representation FormalismsabstractProcess modeling is a rather young and very active research area. During the last few years, new languages and methods have been proposed to describe software processes. In this paper we try to clarify the issues involved in software process modeling and identify the main approaches. We start by motivating the use of process modeling and its main objectives. We then propose a list of desirable features for process languages. The features are grouped as either already provided by languages from other fields or as specific features of the process domain. Finally, we review the main existing approaches and propose a classification scheme. Pasquale Armenise, Sergio Bandinelli, Carlo Ghezzi, Angelo Morzenti |

| 1992 | Software Processes Representation Languages: Survey and AssessmentabstractProcess modeling is an active research area. During the last few years, new languages and methods have been proposed to describe software processes. In this paper, the authors clarify the issues involved in software process modeling and identify the main approaches. They also review the main existing approaches and propose a classification scheme.> Pasquale Armenise, Sergio Bandinelli, Carlo Ghezzi, Angelo Morzenti |

| 1989 | A Structured Approach to Program OptimizationabstractSoftware engineering should provide software engineers with methodologies and tools suitable for use in that small number of applications where efficiency is really important. In order to do that, the optimization process should be a clearly visible phase of the software lifecycle (regardless of the particular software development paradigm adopted), so that it can be regulated, securing the production of good quality and efficient software. With this in mind, the author suggests an approach to program optimization based on a paradigm, a method, some principles and guidelines, and some well-known techniques.> Pasquale Armenise |
