2024 A Convolution Modulation Jamming Method Based on the Optimal Combination of Noise Templates
abstract
The convolution modulation jamming method based on noise template has received widespread attention and application due to its advantages such as having the ability to obtain synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system processing gain. However, there are few studies on the evaluation analysis and optimization design of noise templates. In this letter, an optimal noise template generation method based on weighted combination is proposed and the multi-scale structural similarity (MS-SSIM) index is used to evaluate the jamming effect of the obtained optimal noise template. The experimental results show that the optimal combination noise template can achieve better jamming effect than traditional noise templates under the same jamming-to-signal ratio (JSR), which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

2014 Digital Beamforming on Receive in Elevation for Multidimensional Waveform Encoding SAR Sensing
abstract
This letter investigates the performance of a waveform-separation approach employing a posteriori digital beamforming (DBF) in elevation for multidimensional waveform encoding SAR sensing. The signal-to-noise ratio scaling factor in elevation and full-Doppler-band range ambiguity-to-signal ratio are defined to give global assessment of the DBF approach. Constraints for the selection of elevation subaperture number and their relevant influence on image quality are investigated. By theoretical analysis and simulation, the subaperture number can be appropriately selected by a tradeoff between the data volume and imaging performance. Further strategies for data reduction and performance optimization are briefly discussed.

2012 Sensor placement of multistatic radar system by using genetic algorithm
abstract
Inspired by recent advances in multistatic radar systems, the problem of sensor placement is investigated. Our study is motivated by the fact that it is not always clear what the placement of the radars giving the best performance for the targets of interest might be. To account for the issue, we derive the multistatic Cramér-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) for range and velocity estimation as the fitness function. Then we use genetic algorithms (GAs) to perform the optimized sensor placement as one of global optimization. The simulation example indicates that our proposed approach is a flexible and effective tool and is capable of suggesting optimal sensor placement strategies to meet required radar performance goals.

2012 Azimuth ambiguity of multi-channel SAR
abstract
Azimuth multi-channel synthetic aperture radar has been widely studied to realize high resolution wide swath imaging. Spectrum reconstruction algorithm deals with the main-lobe aliasing while the side-lobe spectrum still exists and is weighted by the reconstruction network as well. In the present paper, azimuth ambiguity of multi-channel strip SAR is investigated, an analytical expression of azimuth ambiguity to signal ratio is derived based on established linear model of the multi-channel signal in Doppler domain. The analysis will definitely benefit multi-channel system design.

2011 Multichannel SAR ECCM based on Fast-time STAP and Pulse diversity
abstract
This paper proposes a novel anti-jamming method for multichannel SAR. This method is based on the combination of Fast-time STAP and Pulse diversity. It can be used to reject the DRFM repeater deceptive jammer. The point-target simulation is used to show the working principle of the proposed algorithm and verify the proposed algorithm.
