2006 Separate type switched-capacitor (SC) AC-DC converter
abstract
A switched-capacitor (SC) converter is in the spotlight as a coil less converter that consists of the capacitors and switches. However, it was difficult to output the large-current because the timing which can charge capacitors is short at an AC input. In this paper, we propose a separate type SC converter with an AC input. "Separate type" means an electric separation of input and output. This circuit configuration is based on series-parallel SC converter. The proposed circuit can suppress the capacity of capacitors by using high frequency charging system at the AC input. The validity of the circuit design is confirmed by SPICE simulations.

2000 Ring type switched-capacitor transformer and its applications
abstract
Builds on a previously proposed ring type switched-capacitor (SC) transformer. This SC transformer consists of capacitors making a ring connected by switches. Because of the symmetrical structure, the ring type SC transformer has possibilities of various applications. In this paper, we describe some applications of it, especially an AC-DC converter and sawtooth-wave generators.

2000 A general method for deriving output resistances of serial fixed type switched-capacitor power supplies
abstract
A simple method for deriving analytically the output resistance of switched-capacitor (SC) power supplies is presented. By using the proposed method, the output resistances of the serial fixed type SC transformers are derived as a general case. The obtained output resistances are exactly equal to those using the conventional method.

1994 An Appraoch of Sequential-Like Parallel Algorithm in Boltzmann Machine
abstract
The efficient implementation of the neural network is a key task in looking for a high speed algorithm. In this paper, we address the problem of optimizing sequential and parallel algorithms for the Boltzmann Machine (BM). We present a novel parallel algorithm similar to the sequential one in the operational results and suitable for parallel hardware implementation of a BM. Since the algorithm performance depends on the probability of the accepted state transition in the annealing process, we increase the the rate of the state change to enhance this probability. In addition, we give the mathematical function describing the rate of the state change, provide experimental data on a well-known optimization problem TSP to have a verification of the function and show that the proposed algorithm obtains much more speedup in comparison with the traditional algorithm.>

1990 Fuzzy Multiple-Input Maximum and Minimum Circuits in Current Mode and Their Analyses Using Bounded-Difference Equations
abstract
Multiple-input maximum and minimum circuits in current mode are proposed. The operation of these circuits is formulated using simultaneous bounded-difference equations. The exact analyses are performed by solving the bounded-difference equations. The accuracy of these circuits is better than the accuracy of binary tree realizations using two-input max/min circuits because no accumulation of errors occurs; furthermore, the operation speed is higher than the speed of the binary tree realization. The proposed circuits consist of only MOS transistors and are compatible with standard MOS fabrication processes. These circuits are useful building blocks for a real-time fuzzy controller and a fuzzy computer.>
