2005 NonStop® Advanced Architecture
abstract
For nearly 30 years the Hewlett Packard NonStop Enterprise Division (formerly Tandem Computers Inc.) has produced highly available, fault-tolerant, massively parallel NonStop computer systems. These vertically integrated systems use a proprietary operating system and specialized hardware for detecting, isolating, and recovering from faults. The NonStop advanced architecture (NSAA) uses dual or triple modular redundant fault-tolerant servers built from standard HP 4-way SMP Itanium/spl reg/2 server processor modules, memory boards, and power infrastructure. A unique synchronization mechanism allows fully compared operations from loosely synchronized processor modules. In addition, the NSAA improves system availability by additional hardware fault masking, and significantly lowers cost by leveraging existing high-volume Itanium server components.

1998 Automatic Interoperability Test Generation for Source-to-Source Translators
abstract
This paper describes a strategy for automatically generating tests which ensure interface compatibility between software components expressed in two different languages. This strategy is useful for testing code produced by a source-to-source computer language translator and for testing the compatibility of compilers for the different languages.

1996 Macro and File Structure Preservation in Source-to-source Translation
abstract
This paper describes a strategy for translating macro definitions and uses in the context of performing automated source-to-source translation between high-level programming languages. This translation technology enables macros and other preprocessor structures to be preserved in the generated source. It is useful for generating readable and maintainable code.
