2026 Meta-GAIN for Missing Data Imputation
abstract
Although previous deep imputation methods (eg., Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) based methods) have been widely designed to impute missing data, they still suffer from the issues, ie., lack of the imputation diversity and the generalization ability. In this paper, we propose a new GAN-based imputation method, namely Meta-based Generative Adversarial Imputation Network (Meta-GAIN), to investigate a new generator for achieving diverse imputation and generalization ability. Specifically, we employ the Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence to achieve the imputation diversity by generating a continuous embedding space of the original data. We also design a task regularizer to suppress redundant features and capture a more authentic distribution, thus enhancing the generalization ability of the imputation model. Moreover, we theoretically prove that our proposed regularizer achieves the generalization ability. In addition, we design a new meta network to efficient optimize our objective function as well as to improve imputation diversity. Experimental results on real datasets show that our method outperforms all comparison methods under different missing mechanisms in terms of imputation and classification performance.

2025 MCD-CLIP: Multi-view Chest Disease Diagnosis with Disentangled CLIP
abstract
Pre-trained methods for multi-view chest X-ray images have demonstrated impressive performance in chest disease diagnosis, but there are still some limitations that need to be addressed. Firstly, many pre-trained methods require full fine-tuning pre-trained models to induce significant computational resource usage and the prior knowledge destruction. Secondly, many pre-trained methods cannot efficiently balance consistency and complementarity among views, leading to information loss and performance degradation. To tackle these issues, we propose MCD-CLIP, a CLIP-based multi-view chest disease diagnosis method. It uses visual prompts and a Prompt-Aligner to align prompts across views, along with the additional text representation for efficient transfer. Moreover, we employ Adapters to disentangle the image representation, maintaining consistency and complementarity from different views. Experimental results on the chest X-ray dataset demonstrate that MCD-CLIP achieves comparable or better performance on a variety of tasks with 94.31% fewer tunable parameters compared to state-of-the-art methods. The source codes are released at https://github.com/YuzunoKawori/MCD-CLIP.

2025 Meta Label Correction with Generalization Regularizer
abstract
Deep neural networks can easily lead to the over-fitting issue due to the influence of noisy labels. However, previous label correction methods for dealing with noisy labels often need expensive computation cost to achieve effectiveness and ignore the generalization ability of the model. To address these issues, in this paper, we propose a new meta-based self-correction method to achieve accurate filtering of noisy labels and to enhance the generalization ability of the label correction model. Specifically, we first investigate a new gradient score method to filter noisy labels with less computation cost, and then theoretically design a new generalization regularizer into the meta-learner and the base learner, for correcting noisy labels as well as achieving the generalization ability. Experimental results on real datasets verify the effectiveness of our proposed method in terms of different classification tasks.

2025 Seeking Proxy Point via Stable Feature Space for Noisy Correspondence Learning
abstract
To meet the growing demand for cross-modal training data, directly collecting multimodal data from the Internet has become prevalent. However, such data inevitably suffer from Noisy Correspondence. Previous works focused on recasting soft labels to mitigate noise's negative impact. We explore a novel perspective to solve this problem: pursuing proxy representation for noisy data to enable reliable feature learning. To this end, we propose a novel framework: Seeking Proxy Point via Stable Feature Space (SPS). This framework employs a fine-grained partitioning strategy to obtain a high-confidence reliable set. By imposing intermodal cross-transformation consistency constraints and intramodal metric consistency constraints, a stable feature space is constructed. Building on this foundation, SPS seeks proxy points for noisy data, enabling even noisy data to be accurately embedded into appropriate positions within the feature space. Combined with partial alignment for partially matched data pairs, SPS ultimately achieves robust learning under Noisy Correspondence. Experiments on three widely used cross-modal datasets demonstrate that SPS significantly outperforms previous methods. Our code is available at https://github.com/C-TeaRanger/SPS.

2024 BCC: Re-architecting Congestion Control in DCNs
abstract
The nature of datacenter traffic is a high volume of bursty tiny flows and standing long flows, which forms the coexistence of transient and persistent congestion. Traditional congestion control (CC) algorithms have inherent limitations in reconciling fast response and high efficiency towards transients with stability and fairness during persistence. In this paper, we provide an insight that re-architects CC with two control laws, tailored to transient and persistent concerns, respectively. Armed with this key insight, we propose bimodal congestion control (BCC), which is founded on two core ideas: (i) Quaternary network state detection, which further distinguishes transient and persistent states in switches, and (ii) Bimodal control law, which is manifested as the transient controller and persistent controller at sources. The transient controller employs a precise control paradigm that pauses flows to drain backlogged packets and ramps down/up flow rates to bottleneck bandwidth directly, striving for high efficiency. The persistent controller grounds itself in traditional CC algorithms, inheriting stability and fairness. We implement BCC in the Linux kernel and P4-programmable switch. In our evaluation, compared to DCQCN, HPCC, PowerTCP, and Swift, BCC reduces flow completion times by 14% ~ 99%.

2017 Ivory: Early-Stage Design Space Exploration Tool for Integrated Voltage Regulators
abstract
Despite being employed in burgeoning efforts to improve power delivery efficiency, integrated voltage regulators (IVRs) have yet to be evaluated in a rigorous, systematic, or quantitative manner. To fulfill this need, we present Ivory, a high-level design space exploration tool capable of providing accurate conversion efficiency, static performance characteristics, and dynamic transient responses of an IVR-enabled power delivery subsystem (PDS), enabling rapid trade-off exploration at early design stage, approximately 1000x faster than SPICE simulation. We demonstrate and validate Ivory with a wide spectrum of IVR topologies. In addition, we present a case study using Ivory to reveal the optimal PDS configurations, with underlying power break-downs and area overheads for the GPU manycore architecture, which has yet to embrace IVRs.

2017 A 16-Core Voltage-Stacked System With Adaptive Clocking and an Integrated Switched-Capacitor DC-DC Converter
abstract
This paper presents a 16-core voltage-stacked system with adaptive frequency clocking (AFClk) and a fully integrated voltage regulator that demonstrates efficient on-chip power delivery for multicore systems. Voltage stacking alleviates power delivery inefficiencies due to off-chip parasitics but adds complexity to combat internal voltage noise. To address the corresponding issue of internal voltage noise, the system utilizes an AFClk scheme with an efficient switched-capacitor dc-dc converter to mitigate noise on the stack layers and to improve system performance and efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate robust voltage noise mitigation as well as the potential of voltage stacking as a highly efficient power delivery scheme. This paper also illustrates that augmenting the hardware techniques with intelligent workload allocation that exploits the inherent properties of voltage stacking can preemptively reduce the interlayer activity mismatch and improve system efficiency.

2013 Characterizing and evaluating voltage noise in multi-core near-threshold processors
abstract
Lowering the supply voltage to improve energy efficiency leads to higher load current and elevated supply sensitivity. In this paper, we provide the first quantitative analysis of voltage noise in multi-core near-threshold processors in a future 10nm technology across SPEC CPU2006 benchmarks. Our results reveal larger guardband requirement and significant energy efficiency loss due to power delivery nonidealities at near threshold, and highlight the importance of accurate voltage noise characterization for design exploration of energy-centric computing systems using near-threshold cores.

2012 Calibration technique for SAR analog-to-digital converters
abstract
A self-calibration technique was developed for SAR analog-to-digital converters that employ binary-weighted capacitors. High-accuracy calibration is achieved by finding and correcting the mismatch of each capacitor independently. The mismatch errors are extracted at power-up, and corrected by individual calibration DACs during the conversion. Unlike in previous schemes, in the proposed method the residual error in the calibration of a capacitor does not affect the calibration of any other capacitor. Simulation results show that the proposed method is also insensitive to the non-idealities of the calibration DACs.
