2025 Low-Cost Quadruple-Node-Upset Self-Recoverable Latch Based on Cross-Interlocking
abstract
As the CMOS technology continues to shrink, latches are becoming increasingly susceptible to multiple-node-upset caused by charge sharing in radiation environments. In this article, a low-cost quadruple-node-upset (QNU) self-recoverable latch based on cross-interlocking (Quad-CIRC) is proposed. By utilizing four cross-interlocking self-recoverable cells (CIRCs) for interlocking, complete QNU self-recovery is achieved with reduced sensitive nodes. Meanwhile, the majority of currently available QNU self-recoverable latches are primarily composed of C-elements-based redundancy, resulting in a significant increase in area overhead. However, Quad-CIRC effectively reduces area overhead while ensuring hardened capability through cross-interlocking of CIRCs. HSPICE-based simulations in 22 nm CMOS technology demonstrate that Quad-CIRC achieves a reduction of 69.08% on average of power consumption, an increase of 16.83% on average of delay, a reduction of 63.51% on average of power-delay-product (PDP), a reduction of 51.01% on average of area, a reduction of 83.44% on average of area-PDP (APDP), and an increase of 60.49% on average of critical charge, compared to five other QNU self-recoverable latches (QRHIL, MURLAV, LDAVPM,$QR-R_{11}-C_{2}$, and low-delay QNU self-recoverable).

2024 Applying Fuzz Driver Generation to Native C/C++ Libraries of OEM Android Framework: Obstacles and Solutions
abstract
Fuzz driver generation (FDG) is a fundamental technique for fuzzing library software. Existing FDG approaches have been highly successful with open-source libraries. However, in practice, due to the complex nature of OEM Android frameworks (e.g., customized compilation toolchains, extensive codebases, diverse C/C++ language features), it is not straightforward to integrate existing fuzz driver generation tools with OEM Android libraries. To address this challenge, we first systematically summarize the obstacles to applying existing tools (e.g., FuzzGen) to libraries of an OEM Android (i.e., ColorOS), including compatibility, usability, and effectiveness issues. Following this, we developed a new fuzz driver generation tool, namely FuzzGen++, specifically designed to tackle these obstacles one by one. In our evaluation, we demonstrate the advantages of FuzzGen++ in real-world OEM Android frameworks. FuzzGen++ is compatible with OEM Android and can generate fuzz drivers for all its libraries which are not supported by existing works. The additional analysis of the OEM Android code also enhances its usability within the system. Overall, FuzzGen++ has helped automatically generate 21,457 fuzz drivers. Additionally, through fuzz driver ranking and selection solution, FuzzGen++ figured out cut off 95% fuzz drivers which are less useful. FuzzGen++ supports sophisticated C/C++ features in code analysis, ensuring effectiveness. Compared to hand-written fuzz drivers, FuzzGen++ could generate and select fuzz drivers providing a 107.92% coverage improvement. Furthermore, they discovered 6 bugs, showcasing the capability of FuzzGen++ to find real-world issues.

2019 SENSORY: Leveraging Code Statement Sequence Information for Code Snippets Recommendation
abstract
Software developers often have to implement unfamiliar programming tasks. When faced with these problems, developers often search online for code snippets as references to learn how to solve the unfamiliar tasks. In recent years, some researchers propose several approaches to use programming context to recommend code snippets. Most of these approaches use information retrieval based techniques and treat code snippets as a set of tokens. However, in code, the smallest meaningful unit is code statement, in general, the line of code. Since these studies did not consider this issue, there is still room for improvement in the code snippets recommendation. In this paper, we propose a code Statement sEquence iNformation baSed cOde snippets Recommendation sYstem (SENSORY). Different from existing token based approaches, SENSORY performs code snippets recommendation at code statement granularity. It uses the Burrows Wheeler Transform algorithm to search relevant code snippets, and uses the structure information to re-rank the results. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we construct a code database with 1000000 real world code snippets which contain more than 15000000 lines of code. The experimental results show that SENSORY outperforms the two strong baseline work in terms of precision and NDCG.

2013 Broad area mapping of monthly soil erosion risk using fuzzy decision tree approach: integration of multi-source data within GIS
abstract
Soil erosion poses a serious problem for sustainable agriculture and the environment. There is a need to develop a simple and practical approach for broad area mapping of soil erosion risk that uses the uncertain but available information as input data within the constraints of reasonable cost and time. In this work, a predictive approach for conducting analytical erosion risk assessment across broad areas is developed, which combines a fuzzy decision tree (FDT), remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS). This approach is applicable to situations with a limited amount of input data and can easily adjust assessment factors according to actual need. In this study, four dominating factors affecting soil erosion were considered: soil, topography, land cover and climate. GIS thematic layers of these factors were constructed followed by fuzzified analysis through trapezoidal shaped membership functions. Based on subdivided erosion response units (ERUs), an optimal FDT was determined to classify monthly soil erosion risk into five levels. High-risk and very high-risk soil erosion in the study area is mainly concentrated from June to August, with July and August showing the highest risk covering more than 80% of the study area. November to March is dominated by low risk over more than 90% of the study area, while medium risk is dominant in April, May, September and October. Compared with field survey data, the fuzzy decision erosion risk assessment approach was shown to be applicable and economical for rapidly identifying and locating soil erosion risk with limited input data by means of remote sensing and GIS.
