| 2025 | A Buck/Boost-Zeta Quasi-Resonant Full-Wave Converter Combination for Bipolar OutputsabstractThis work presents a new configuration of a Quasi–Resonant Converter (QRC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), full–wave, with dual, symmetric or bipolar outputs and derived Buck-Boost Single Inductor and Zeta topologies. This configuration allows the development of Single–Input Dual–Output (SIDO) structures with a single switch. Cristian Díaz Martín, Eladio Durán, Salvador P. Litrán, Elena Bago Sotillo |

| 2025 | Quasi-Resonant DC-DC Combination Converter CSC-Zeta Full-Wave for Bipolar OutputsabstractThis work presents a new Quasi–Resonant Converter (QRC) configuration, allowing Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and a full-wave operation, providing dual, symmetric, or bipolar output. It is a configuration derived from the combined Zeta and CSC (Canonical Switching Cell) topologies; it provides a Single–Input Dual–Output (SIDO) structure with a single switch. The proposed configuration minimizes switching losses, facilitating higher operating frequencies and increased power density. Theoretical analysis and simulations validate its operation, including stable bipolar output voltages under load and line variations, highlighting its practical viability. | 2022 | Quasi-Resonant DC-DC Converter Single-Switch for Single-Input Bipolar-Output ApplicationsabstractIn this paper, a new quasi-resonant DC-DC converter topology is presented, which is the result of combining simpler configurations of single input and single output. The proposed topology is a combination of the Zeta and Buck-Boost resonant configurations, which allows a bipolar output voltage to be generated using a single power switch. In addition, the combination converter can operate in step-up and step-down modes and is a transformerless converter, allowing a reduction in size and an increase of the power density. A complete analysis of the proposed converter has been carried out and subsequently verified through simulation. The results obtained show that this new topology is suitable for multiple applications requiring bipolar voltage and high-power density. Cristian Díaz Martín, Eladio Durán, Salvador P. | 2019 | A Zeta-CSC Converter Combination for Single-Input and Bipolar OutputabstractThis paper presents a DC-DC converter of one input and one bipolar output. The converter has been obtained from the combination of two basic converters of one input and one output. Thus, the proposed configuration is the result of the combination of a CSC (Canonical Switching Cell) converter and a Zeta converter. A common feature of these converters is they have the same conversion relation. The input stage formed by the switching device and an inductance is shared by both converters. On the other hand, the output of the CSC converter is inverted with respect to its input and the output of Zeta converter is noninverted, so this combination results in a bipolar type output. With the proposed topology it is possible to reduce the number of components and eliminate the need for synchronization of several switching devices. The converter has been analyzed in a steady state and the most significant operating equations have been deduced. A simulation platform has been developed in the MATLAB-Simulink, which has allowed the behavior of the converter to be verified. Salvador P. | 2016 | A Zeta-Buck-Boost converter combination for Single-Input Multiple-Output applicationsabstractThis paper presents and describes a new DC-DC converter combination based on Zeta and Buck-Boost single inductor converters for Single-Input Multiple-Output (SIMO) applications. This converter combination provides a three-output type with DC bipolar voltage (two outputs with the same voltage, but different polarities) with only one controllable switch. The main advantage of the proposed converter is the low number of components used in the combination which reduces its size, manufacturing costs, and provides high efficiency in power conversion. An analysis of the proposed configuration for different performance modes and load conditions has been carried out. Simulation results show that this combination of two Single-Input and Single-Output (SISO) converter topologies, with appropriated modulation schemes, is suitable for SIMO applications.
