2023 A Novel Image-Based Homomorphic Approach for Preserving the Privacy of Autonomous Vehicles Connected to the Cloud
abstract
Autonomous vehicles are taking a leap forward by performing operations without human intervention through continuous monitoring of their surroundings using multiple sensors. Images gathered through vehicle mounted cameras can be large, requiring specialized storage such as cloud. However, cloud data centres can be prone to security and privacy challenges. A partial image-based, homomorphic searchable encryption scheme is proposed, which uses pixel-level encryption to identify objects within encrypted images. The scheme provides Object-Trapdoor and Trapdoor-Image indistinguishability – as the trapdoors are probabilistic. The proposed scheme is deployed on a cloud data centre and tested over a real data set. The proposed scheme reduces storage overhead by approximately 20 times, and is 33 times more efficient compared to the generic Paillier homomorphic searchable encryption scheme. Security analysis demonstrates that the scheme maintains high levels of security and privacy.

2020 Trusted Network Slicing among Multiple Mobile Network Operators
abstract
5G mobile networks are expected to be much bigger in size, faster in speeds and better in scalability, providing varied services to different users and businesses in contrast to previous networks. 5G will also help enabling new business models and use cases. “Network Slicing” is a driving architectural concept for multi-tenancy. Network Slicing enables Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to deploy different services over shared physical infrastructure, increasing inter-operator resource sharing. As 5G is still in its nascent, inter operator cooperation is an area that requires immediate attention of research. Traditional inter operator trust relationship models cannot fully comprehend the needs of 5G networks. In this paper, we propose an Intel SGX based multi-MNO cooperation scheme for trusted, dynamic and efficient network slice sharing in order to support inter-operator trustworthy collaboration. Furthermore, we developed a Proof of Concept of our proposed scheme using Intel SGX, flask framework and Docker containers. The obtained results indicate the applicability of the proposed scheme with little effect on performance.

2014 Location Identity Based Content Security Scheme for Content Centric Networking
abstract
Content Centric Networking (CCN) is a newly proposed internet architecture based on content abstraction rather than host abstraction. Since people are concerned with content these days rather than typical host to host communication; hence locations from which they get the required content does not matter. The content needs to be secured so content requesting node has to make sure while receiving content from content publisher that whether the publisher and its content is authentic or not. In CCN, the content is taken into consideration rather than the route over which content travels. To validate the authenticity of content on each node, an effective security scheme should be developed. In this paper we propose a location identity based content security scheme for CCN. We evaluated the performance of proposed scheme using ccnSim simulator and its security validation using AVISPA tool.
