2024 Performance Analysis of HFrFT Based on Wigner Transform for ISAC Applications
abstract
The hyperbolic fractional Fourier transform (HFrFT) as a generalized form of the fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) based on complex transform orders is introduced. The definition of continuous-time hyperbolic fractional Fourier transform (CHFrFT) is extracted. In addition, a closed form of discrete hyperbolic fractional Fourier transform (DHFrFT) is derived. The relation between Wigner transform (WT) and HFrFT is expressed and its application in noise reduction in integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is assessed. The performance of the proposed transform in wireless communication systems is evaluated based on the bit error rate (BER) analysis. The simulation result shows that HFrFT can be a suitable technique in ISAC applications.

2024 Performance Enhancement of IEEE 802.11 BD Vehicle to Vehicle Communication Based on FrFT-OFDM for High Speed Conditions
abstract
A performance improvement of IEEE 802.11bd communication based on using fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) is presented. The Wigner distribution as a powerful tool to analyze the effects of carrier frequency offset (CFO) on the signals is utilized. The proposed idea shows the high-speed conditions that impose a high rate of CFO based on FrFT the performance of IEEE 802.11bd in bit error ratio (BER) can be improved. The evaluation of the proposed system based on simulation is utilized and an improvement up to ten times in FrFT rather than orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) can be revealed.

2018 A5G Architecture for the Factory of the Future
abstract
Factory automation and production are currently undergoing massive changes, and 5G is considered being a key enabler. In this paper, we state uses cases for using 5G in the factory of the future, which are motivated by actual needs of the industry partners of the “5Gang” consortium. Based on these use cases and the ones by 3GPP, a 5G system architecture for the factory of the future is proposed. It is set in relation to existing architectural frameworks.

2015 Secret key generation from static channels with untrusted relays
abstract
The generation of symmetric cryptographic keys based on reciprocal channel properties has evolved as a promising approach in recent years, especially for devices with only little computational power. Different schemes individually addressing constraints from special setups have been proposed, but most schemes generally suffer from bad performance in case of (nearly) static scenarios. Addressing this dilemma, we present a novel approach for physical layer based key generation with two static users supported by a third party. In contrast to other solutions, this approach does not rely on special hardware like multiple antennas and does not let the third party know anything about the secret key, as the helper is potentially not fully trusted. The scheme does not evade to other diversity domains, but still exploits temporal and spatial diversity. We present thorough performance and security analysis, also taking a passive attacker into account.
