| 2026 | Plug-and-Play Optimization for 3D Gaussian Splatting Compression: Distribution Regularization, Probabilistic Pruning and Detail CompensationabstractRecent advancements in 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) have demonstrated remarkable rendering quality, However, their substantial computational demands hinder practical deployment on resource-constrained devices. We propose a novel plug-and-play structured compression framework that significantly reduces computational overhead while maintaining rendering fidelity. We first discover that the statistical distribution of anchor vectors is decoupled from rendering quality. Based on this finding, we propose a distribution regularization method that enforces alignment to standard Gaussian distribution through KL divergence while optimizing Gaussian radius, significantly improving entropy coding efficiency. Second, we innovatively introduce an opacity-based probabilistic pruning mechanism that transforms pruning into an opacity optimization problem, achieving intelligent scene sparsification while allowing flexible adjustment according to hardware resources. Finally, we design a lightweight high-frequency compensation network that regards the high-frequency loss caused by over-compression as a residual and effectively recovers the high-frequency details lost during the compression process through residual learning. All modules are plug-and-play and can be seamlessly integrated into mainstream structured 3DGS frameworks. Extensive experiments on Synthetic-NeRF, Tanks&Temples, Mip-NeRF360 and DeepBlending datasets demonstrate that our method significantly reduces size by over 80x compared to vanilla 3DGS while simultaneously improving fidelity. Furthermore, it achieves a better size reduction and a 20% improvement in entropy encoding efficiency when compared to HAC, while meeting the requirements for real-time rendering. | 2024 | Unrestricted Global Phase Bias-Aware Single-Channel Speech Enhancement with Conformer-Based Metric GanabstractWith the rapid development of neural networks in recent years, the ability of various networks to enhance the magnitude spectrum of noisy speech in the single-channel speech enhancement domain has become exceptionally outstanding. However, enhancing the phase spectrum using neural networks is often ineffective, which remains a challenging problem. In this paper, we found that the human ear cannot sensitively perceive the difference between a precise phase spectrum and a biased phase (BP) spectrum. Therefore, we propose an optimization method of phase reconstruction, allowing freedom on the global-phase bias instead of reconstructing the precise phase spectrum. We applied it to a Conformer-based Metric Generative Adversarial Networks (CMGAN) baseline model, which relaxes the existing constraints of precise phase and gives the neural network a broader learning space. Results show that this method achieves a new state-of-the-art performance without incurring additional computational overhead. Zheng Qiu, Daiki Takeuchi, Noboru Harada, Shoji Makino |

| 2020 | Dual Vote Confirmation based Consensus Design for Blockchain integrated IoTabstractBlockchain technology is adopted by many research to provide underlying security protection for the booming Inter-net of Things (IoT) industry. Nonetheless, due to some aspects of IoT, such as resource-constrained devices, heterogeneous mass devices, and real-time transactions, the traditional blockchain consensus algorithm is not suitable for the scene of blockchain-IoT integration. This paper proposes a Dual Vote Confirmation based Consensus (DVCC) mechanism for the Blockchain-IoT integration (BlockIoT). First, we adopt a role division approach to solve the problem of limited resources of devices in IoT. Second, multi-dimensional credit score, dual confirmation mechanism, classified random selection mechanism, and credit score based incentivization are designed to improve the security and fairness of the consensus. Third, a voting mechanism is proposed to improve the delay performance and avoid energy waste. Finally, the experimental results show that DVCC gains better delay and throughput performance on a large scale while guaranteeing the security and fairness of the consensus.
