| 2025 | Application of VR Technologies in Designing Truck Assembly ProcessesabstractIn the context of the transition to human-centric production systems and the high variability of truck configurations, the problem of ensuring the ergonomics and manufacturability of assembly processes during the production preparation phase is critical. This article analyzes the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technologies for designing and optimizing truck assembly processes. Key problems are considered, including the complexity of mixed-model balancing, the assembly of large-sized units, and the high load involved in mounting cable harnesses. The authors analyze modern approaches, demonstrating how VR simulation combined with digital human modeling allows for the identification of design errors, conducting ergonomic assessments of working postures (using RULA, NIOSH methods), and staff training. A prototype solution is presented, developed on the basis of the Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) game engine using an HTC Vive Pro 2 headset, for the realistic simulation of the cooling unit installation operation onto the frame. It is shown that the implementation of VR technologies can significantly reduce costs, improve quality, and reduce the risk of injury by optimizing workplaces and technological routes even before the start of mass production. | 2025 | Intelligent Solutions to Improve Pedestrian SafetyabstractDespite the efforts of scientists and practitioners, pedestrian safety remains one of the world's most acute problems. According to research by scientists and road safety experts, people (both drivers and pedestrians) often create road hazards. Therefore, it is essential to reduce the impact of human error. To this end, increasingly intelligent vehicles and road infrastructure are being created, along with passive safety measures for pedestrians. Furthermore, intelligent systems are being developed to alert pedestrians, monitor their attention, and analyze pedestrian flows, all of which can warn drivers of dangerous behavior and the risk of accidents. Experience shows that only comprehensive solutions can address strategic challenges, including road safety improvement. We propose an upgrade to the pedestrian push-button traffic light, making it “smarter” through dynamic traffic light phase control based on real-time road conditions. This is enabled by a pedestrian classification system we developed, which categorizes individuals based on characteristics such as age, behavior patterns, and mitigating factors. We believe that a smart traffic light system tailored to pedestrian flow patterns will enhance pedestrian safety and optimize traffic flow parameters. Irina Makarova, Vadim G. Mavrin, Larisa M. | 2024 | Improving e-commerce with intelligent solutionsabstractCompetition in the e-commerce system due to its rapid development forces companies to search for solutions to improve efficiency. The most important issue in this case is logistics operations, which determine the satisfaction of customer requirements. The emergence of intelligent technologies allows you to rebuild the system of delivery of online orders, making it more flexible and convenient. The article considers one of the ways to solve this problem. Using the example of building a two-link delivery system from an online store, it is shown that the proposed system will not only speed up the delivery process, but also reduce the load on the city’s transport network both in terms of traffic and from an environmental point of view. Ultimately, the proposed delivery option will contribute to the implementation of the ESG concept. The proposed system uses simulation models that have proven themselves well for solving such problems. Various options for courier deliveries of the “last mile” are recommended Irina Makarova, Aleksey Boyko, Jamila Mustafina |

| 2024 | Using intelligent solutions to improve logistics processesabstractTransport logistics in modern conditions includes more and more intelligent elements that improve both physical objects and optimize processes, using technologies of communication means, the Internet of things, and data analysis,. One of the processes that is implemented in the logistics chain is the loading and unloading process. The implementation of this process is especially relevant when delivering goods to shopping centers located in cities. To optimize loading and unloading processes, simulation models are used that allow not only to reduce the waiting time of trucks in the queue for unloading, but also to increase the efficiency of the entire process, as well as reduce the impact on the environment, which is extremely important in cities, and especially megacities. The article provides a practical example of using such a model, an optimization experiment was conducted and the achieved efficiency is shown. Irina Makarova, Aleksey Boyko, Vadim G. | 2023 | Improvement of the Personnel Delivery System in the Mining Complex using Simulation ModelsabstractThe strategy of spatial development of the country for the period up to 2024, based on the infrastructure of a specific type of transport, provides for the connection of the territories of settlements with modern communications; phased reconstruction and modernization; personnel, technical and technological support for interaction and digital transformation of the Russian transport complex. The development of the Russian Arctic is a priority area, since it has a significant natural resource, socio-economic and transport potential, which must be maximized, taking into account all the features of this region. It is important to develop the northern territories in such a way that the transport infrastructure of the Arctic meets the requirements in the field of comfort and safety of the human environment. This can be achieved through the use of vehicles of increased environmental friendliness and energy efficiency. In the study we analyse the possibility of converting shift buses used to deliver personnel involved in the development of fields in the Arctic zone to gas motor fuel using simulation models. | 2023 | Using Simulation for Investigating Emergency Traffic SituationsabstractWhen managing the transport system of an urbanized area, infrastructural changes cannot always solve transport problems. At the same time, organizational measures implemented within the framework of an intelligent transport system can be effective. To make operational and strategic decisions, it is necessary to form a base of typical emergency situations, having previously studied them on a simulation model. For this, we have chosen a micro-simulation method, which allows taking into account the stochastic nature of the traffic flow. As a result of a computer experiment, we have obtained estimates of changes in parameters (average time for a vehicle to cross an intersection in all directions, average speed) when emergencies of a given duration occur at a T-shaped intersection. The novelty of the proposed approach lies in the possibility of assessing the nature of the emergency situations' development for various values of influencing factors. | 2020 | The RFID system for accounting and control of truck tires with two-step identification: a case studyabstractThe radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is being used in almost all areas in which logistics operations are carried out. We considered the usage of RFID identification during the transfer of truck tires by the manufacturer to the distribution of a trading company. It was found that errors and miscalculations occur in the process of RFID identification of tires. We proposed the two-step identification method for truck tires using an RFID system and additional optical sensors. The algorithm for two-stage tire identification has been developed. The system for reporting failures and emergency events in the process of registering truck tires was developed. As a result, the technical solution allowed eliminating shortages and surpluses of tire products. This led to a reduction in financial damage to the manufacturer. | 2020 | The Service Center Simulation Model as a Part of a Reverse Logistics SystemabstractIn the era of growing consumption, the task of expanding the concept of reuse becomes urgent. It must be implemented within the framework of a reverse logistics system. The article analyzes mathematical models and methods for optimizing reverse supply chains. It was concluded that existing approaches are limited. A descriptive mathematical model of a proprietary reverse logistics network has been formulated. It takes into account the income from the sale of restored defective parts. We construct a simulation model of the service center, which is the primary element that forms the reverse logistic flow and is an intermediate storage warehouse. The novelty of the study lies in the establishment of the fact that the use of the Weibull distribution for vehicle failures is the most statistically significant for the considered area of operation. | 2020 | The Development of a Charger for the Formula Student Electric Race CarabstractIndustry 4.0. with its inherent complexity of technologies, digitalization and intellectualization encourages universities to look for new innovative approaches in education to provide students with advanced professional competencies. Formula Student Electric is an international student competition consisting in the development of racing cars followed by competitive races. However, accidents can happen not only on the track, but also in the garage. A big problem is charging batteries due to the complexity of controlling such a long process. The market lacks ready-made solutions meeting the requirements of the regulations. We developed a schematic diagram of the charger and designed a simplified model of the CC / CV charging process in Simulink. Theoretical calculations show that the charging time of a battery with a capacity of 100 Ah and a maximum voltage of 42 V, in the case of 30 A, took 3 hours 32 minutes to 100% and 1 hour 47 minutes to 50%, at in the case of 20 A - 5 hours 15 minutes and 2 hours 40 minutes, respectively. We selected the charger components. We designed a 3D model of the rack in the SolidWorks software for the safe use of the charger. Alexander Gritsenko, Vladimir D. | 2019 | The Use of Uberization Principles to Improve Social Taxi ServicesabstractIn the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, one of the key drivers of change is a sharing economy or so called “uberization”. Uberization is especially rapidly developing in the service sector, in particular - when organizing individual passenger transportation by taxi services. Such taxi services as Uber and Gett, that use technological Internet platforms, allow faster and cheaper than traditional taxi companies to order the taxi. From the other point of view, they have the same disadvantage as the usage of individual transport is often associated with. It is the incomplete load of vehicles, which causes an additional negative impact on the environment as well as on the road network. This article presents a decision support system for taxi dispatch services based on the model of optimal route choice. Optimization is carried out with the help of multifactor analysis of transportation requirements and selection of the optimal route in accordance with given priorities. Such a system will reduce the cost of transportation and negative impact on the environment through the selection of fellow travelers by using a mobile application. | 2019 | Improving Transport System Environmental Friendliness and Energy Efficiency Due to Using the Gas Generator as an Alternative FuelabstractThe transition to the fourth industrial revolution, driven by the technique and technology rapid development, accompanied by negative processes in ecosystems, has led to a change in the economic paradigm – to the circular economy. To reduce the negative impact on the environment, it is necessary to reduce resource consumption while reducing the production and consumption waste growth. The negative impact of municipal solid waste (MSW) on the environment, leading to climate change, causes the need to find solutions to ensure comfortable living conditions for the population. The article presents the technology for producing gas-engine fuel by processing MSW; it is shown that the polyethylene-containing components proportion influences the fuel produced quality; therefore, preliminary MSW sorting is necessary to obtain gaseous motor fuel in the gas generator.
