| 2025 | Injecting Cross-modal Fine-Grained Perception into LLMs for 3D Object-of-Interest UnderstandingabstractRecent advancements in 3D Large Language Models (LLMs) have revealed significant potential in enhancing the understanding of 3D scenes. However, previous methods have struggled with extracting and utilizing fine-grained information of 3D objects for the coarsness of point clouds, resulting in limitations in understanding object-of-interested (OoI) within the scene. To address this issue, we introduce the object-centric 2D-3D interaction module for enhancing the ability of LLMs for 3D understanding tasks, which consists of the fine-grained 2D representation perception and the object-centric 3D scene representation perception. Specifically, the 2D representation associated with 3D objects is captured based on cross-modal semantic consistency without any spatial projector. Experimental results show that our model significantly outperforms existing methods on benchmarks including ScanRefer and ScanQA. | 2025 | SmartFreeEdit: Mask-Free Spatial-Aware Image Editing with Complex Instruction UnderstandingabstractRecent advancements in image editing have utilized large-scale multimodal models to enable intuitive, natural instruction-driven interactions. However, conventional methods still face significant challenges, particularly in spatial reasoning, precise region segmentation, and maintaining semantic consistency, especially in complex scenes. To overcome these challenges, we introduce SmartFreeEdit, a novel end-to-end framework that integrates a multimodal large language model (MLLM) with a hypergraph-enhanced inpainting architecture, enabling precise, mask-free image editing guided exclusively by natural language instructions. The key innovations of SmartFreeEdit include: (1) the introduction of region-aware tokens and a mask embedding paradigm that enhance the model's spatial understanding of complex scenes; (2) a reasoning segmentation pipeline designed to optimize the generation of editing masks based on natural language instructions; and (3) a hypergraph-augmented inpainting module that ensures the preservation of both structural integrity and semantic coherence during complex edits, overcoming the limitations of local-based image generation. Extensive experiments on the Reason-Edit benchmark demonstrate that SmartFreeEdit surpasses current state-of-the-art methods across multiple evaluation metrics, including segmentation accuracy, instruction adherence, and visual quality preservation, while addressing the issue of local information focus and improving global consistency in the edited image. | 2025 | Sparsity-Exploiting Channel Estimation for Unsourced Random Access With Fluid AntennaabstractThis work explores the channel estimation (CE) problem in uplink transmission for unsourced random access (URA) with a fluid antenna receiver. The additional spatial diversity in a fluid antenna system (FAS) addresses the needs of URA design in multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) systems. We present two CE strategies based on the activation of different FAS ports, namely alternate ports and partial ports CE. Both strategies facilitate the estimation of channel coefficients and angles of arrival (AoAs). Additionally, we discuss how to refine channel estimation by leveraging the sparsity of finite scatterers. Specifically, the proposed partial ports CE strategy is implemented using a regularized estimator, and we optimize the estimator's parameter to achieve the desired AoA precision and refinement. Extensive numerical results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed strategies, and a comparison with a conventional receiver using half-wavelength antennas highlights the promising future of integrating URA and FAS. | 2024 | Modeling of Multiple Spatial-Temporal Relations for Robust Visual Object TrackingabstractRecently, one-stream trackers have achieved parallel feature extraction and relation modeling through the exploitation of Transformer-based architectures. This design greatly improves the performance of trackers. However, as one-stream trackers often overlook crucial tracking cues beyond the template, they prone to give unsatisfactory results against complex tracking scenarios. To tackle these challenges, we propose a multi-cue single-stream tracker, dubbed MCTrack here, which seamlessly integrates template information, historical trajectory, historical frame, and the search region for synchronized feature extraction and relation modeling. To achieve this, we employ two types of encoders to convert the template, historical frames, search region, and historical trajectory into tokens, which are then collectively fed into a Transformer architecture. To distill temporal and spatial cues, we introduce a novel adaptive update mechanism, which incorporates a thresholding component and a local multi-peak component to filter out less accurate and overly disturbed tracking cues. Empirically, MCTrack achieves leading performance on mainstream benchmark datasets, surpassing the most advanced SeqTrack by 2.0% in terms of the AO metric on GOT-10k. The code is available at https://github.com/wsumel/MCTrack. Shilei Wang 0001, Zhenhua Wang 0003, Qianqian Sun, Gong Cheng 0003, Jifeng Ning |

| 2017 | MTD: a mammalian transcriptomic database to explore gene expression and regulationabstractA systematic transcriptome survey is essential for the characterization and comprehension of the molecular basis underlying phenotypic variations. Recently developed RNA-seq methodology has facilitated efficient data acquisition and information mining of transcriptomes in multiple tissues/cell lines. Current mammalian transcriptomic databases are either tissue-specific or species-specific, and they lack in-depth comparative features across tissues and species. Here, we present a mammalian transcriptomic database (MTD) that is focused on mammalian transcriptomes, and the current version contains data from humans, mice, rats and pigs. Regarding the core features, the MTD browses genes based on their neighboring genomic coordinates or joint KEGG pathway and provides expression information on exons, transcripts and genes by integrating them into a genome browser. We developed a novel nomenclature for each transcript that considers its genomic position and transcriptional features. The MTD allows a flexible search of genes or isoforms with user-defined transcriptional characteristics and provides both table-based descriptions and associated visualizations. To elucidate the dynamics of gene expression regulation, the MTD also enables comparative transcriptomic analysis in both intraspecies and interspecies manner. The MTD thus constitutes a valuable resource for transcriptomic and evolutionary studies. The MTD is freely accessible at http://mtd.cbi.ac.cn.
